BREAKNG: Disney's ABC is pulling Jimmy Kimmel indefinitely after late night host's recent remarks about Charlie Kirk. Move comes as ABC affiliate groups told network they would be dropping the host.

My guess is that ABC told Kimmel to walk back the hateful misinformation he's pumping out -- Charlie Kirk was killed by a Charlie Kirk acolyte! -- and he flat refused. He's a pudgy tough-guy pussy liberal and he won't be pushed around.

Update: My guess was right. Kimmel planned to liesplain that he was "taken out of context" and therefore was right. No retraction, no apology.

And of course the Disney Groomer Corporation was already looking to ditch him. He's in his last year of his contract and ABC hasn't rushed to re-sign him.

Update: Major affiliates (the companies that actually run the stations that the ABC network licenses its shitty groomer content to) apparently demanded this.

The affiliates don't just own the blue city/blue state cities like NYC and LA that the Disney Groomer Corporation owns (own-and-operate stations). The affiliates own stations in the formerly-flyover states the leftwing coastals loathe.

Disney's ABC said it would take Jimmy Kimmel's popular late-night show off its schedule "indefinitely" after one of the biggest owners of TV stations in the U.S., Nexstar Media, said it intended to pre-empt airings of the program following remarks the host made about the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Nexstar said Wednesday that its "owned and partner television stations affiliated with the ABC Television Network will preempt "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" for the foreseeable future, beginning with tonight's show." The company said it "strongly objects to recent comments made by Mr. Kimmel concerning the killing of Charlie Kirk and will replace the show with other programming in its ABC-affiliated markets."
In his monologue Monday night, Kimmel said that the "MAGA gang" was trying to score political points off Kirk's murder.

344 My last living brother Jonathan has had terrible eyesight all his life, it gave him huge beautiful blue eyes but he couldn't see in school from the first grade, so he's worn glasses all his life. His eyes have gotten so bad that now in his 60s he's effectively blind, they cannot actually make glasses that will help him see better any more.

So he went under the knife and they cut his eyes and gave him a new lens and now... he can see, out of one of his eyes. Actually see. Like, he can read street signs without any glasses. Its astonishing, he was literally going blind to the point nothing could help.

Its a blessing, the science and medicine we have now, and I am so happy for him. I just wanted to share the news cause I really don't have anyone left to talk about this stuff with.

I'd love to see a Bro Primary, where they both just run for the position like normal politicians, but they travel together and campaign together and do fun little events and fun podcasty debates where they get into a little bit of the weeds of what makes them different, but in a fun way and not a smeary bullshit GOPe way. And promise that whoever wins, the other gets the VP spot.

You're basically campaigning for the general the entire time you're "campaigning" for the primary, and there's zero chance for animosity between the two or between their supporters. You don't have to be an enemy of big pharma, but you're not an enemy when you tell them to play fair with US consumers vs European ones - as one example, my med is $2K/more/month for US customers (be it private, government, or personal payment) vs European ones.
