Posted by: Ben Had ===== I processed it over the last several days, now I feel only cold rage toward the media, Democrats, and their Coalition of Creepy Broken Toys. Reading about how the masses treated Christians back in the Early Church written by Eusebius kind of puts it into perspective. These wicked people have always been among us doing bad things to good people when they martyr them for trivial reasons. Charlie lived well and died a Martyr in Christ speaking the truth. Horatius at the Bridge comes to mind. "Then out spoke brave Horatius, the Captain of the Gate: "To every man upon this earth, death cometh soon or late; And how can man die better than facing fearful odds," Posted by: whig at September 16, 2025 07:37 PM (WDjG6) 36

My parents never bought the school pictures. Just accepted the free proofs and did I-don't-know-what by them. My third-grade picture was the only one I think they framed. I'd visit my friends' homes and here are these giant, imposing portraits of all the kids hanging on walls, mantles, scads of smaller pictures all around them, plus evidently they'd been to stores and had other professional pictures taken. My parents knew a photographer who took our pictures for free once. That was it. Another thing that made me realize my family was different. These guys run this thing like an assembly line. You may or may not get a good photo. This year, we got lucky - all the kids smiled and kept their eyes open, and got great photos. But I think this is our first trifecta.
The first thing is they hold your feet over the fire for a markup over any other photographer, even if the photos suck. And unlike when I was a kid, even if you decline that offer, they won't put the crappy photo in the yearbook if you don't toss them a few shekels. And then there's what I'll call the "Goodbye Fleecing." You get used to the usual $xx - $xxx beat down for the photos each year, from freshman to junior. Then when your kid is a senior, you get the "offer" - such and such, $99. You sign off, then you get the next, even bigger bill, and you read the fine print... the $99 is just for the photos, not the prints. Scam. We just had a conversation in the middle of the street with the neighborhood. Found out that every neighbor over 65 despises Trump and doesn't seem to care (or even be really aware) about what happened to Charlie Kirk. I never knew their politics before. Mind you, I'm wearing a MAGA t-shirt 😂 My husband and kids snowblow, shovel, and salt all 6 of their homes all winter long (free), and we live in North Dakota, so it's a HUGE task. They have no family around to help. Most have apparently had a falling out with their families. Maybe it's not fear, and maybe it's something else, but I'm envisioning a day, perhaps in my lifetime, when the U.S. has squandered its fortune, overstepped its bounds, and pissed off enough people around the globe that we are collectively overrun by our assembled enemies.

- Charles de Gaulle While there is some debate if this was an exact quote the sentiment is accurate. It's a mistake to think any other way. Every country should only think about what is the best interest of their country and act accordingly. This is what Satan's handiwork looks like. Charlie's dead for nothing, and nothing ultimately is changed, except the lives of his own family who are robbed of him. On the political front, people will be more repulsed by trannies and their admirers than ever. And this fool and his equally mentally ill mate have thrown their lives away, possibly others too, for the acclaim of demons who will dance on Tik Tok but aren't about to risk their own freedom for the cause. Meanwhile the families of the perps go to prison figuratively right along with them, suffering whether they are guilty of any role in this, however attenuated, or not. There's nothing but suffering and misery in this for anyone.

"I think this is actually a perfect example of the problem of empathy, and why, ultimately, empathy is not a moral virtue. Not that it's bad, per se, but empathy untethered to universal moral principles always leads to psychic splits like this, where the killer can be loving to his romantic partner, and at the same time murder a young, happily married father (someone he has unpersoned). Posted by: Accomack at September 16, 2025 09:46 PM (Bbhox) For years I used a small 1 cup maker that was great, could make 16 ounces of coffee, fits a huge mug, and can cram it full of coffee enough to make your spoon dissolve. They lasted about 2-3 years and then would die, and I would get another. 1 dies kind of fast, maybe a few months. Then I got another, and that one seemed to last longer than normal. It was a trooper. I was dreading the day it died, but it kept chugging along. I came home one day and found a new one in it's place. I asked Mrs B, wtf happened to my coffee maker? She says, well it was old so I got a new one. Nooooooo, you cursed it, the new one will be a POS. Sure enough, 1 week later it died. I was pissed. I said ok, you're going to pick up 2, and from here on you will deal with an ever growing box of dead coffee makers in the basement, because now I'm going to horde parts because these newer ones don't last worth a shit.
