'It was me': Suspect in Charlie Kirk shooting appeared to confess in Discord chat
'Im sorry for all of this' read a message from the suspect's account, according to two people familiar with the message and screenshots obtained by The Post.
The 22-year-old suspect in Charlie Kirk's killing appears to have confessed to friends in an online chat shortly before turning himself in to law enforcement, according to two people familiar with the chat and screenshots obtained by The Washington Post.
"Hey guys, I have bad news for you all," said a message from an account belonging to the suspect, Tyler Robinson, on the online platform Discord. "It was me at UVU yesterday. im sorry for all of this."
The message was sent Thursday night, about two hours before officials said Robinson was taken into custody.

A member of the group chat shared an image of the conversation with The Post and confirmed that it came from Robinson's account. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity to protect their privacy and out of fear of harassment.
Discord provided a copy of the message with the confession to authorities, according to a person familiar with the company's interaction with law enforcement. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to publicly discuss details of the investigation.
The message was sent from Robinson's account to a small private group of online friends, the person said. Discord is working closely with the FBI and local authorities, providing information about Robinson's online activities on the platform, the person added.
Previously, Discord had said that an internal investigation found "no evidence that the suspect planned this incident or promoted violence on Discord."

So Discord lied to protect either itself or its leftwing far-left extremists.

If a confession isn't enough, they found the killer's DNA at the shooter's nest.

Tyler Robinson had a rabid "obsession'' with Charlie Kirk and vowed to "take out" the conservative influencer because he "hated" his views -- boasting he had the perfect murder plan, the FBI revealed Monday.
"I think it's pretty clear based on the statements of family members, friends and some of the messaging we have on these digital footprints left behind that [Robinson] clearly had some obsession with Charlie Kirk," FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino told Fox's "America's Newsroom" on Monday.
"Charlie Kirk is obviously a conservative commentator," Bongino said. "I think it's fairly obvious to everyone out there, and there's no need to parse words with it, that clearly this was an ideologically motivated attack."
FBI Director Kash Patel told Fox earlier in the day that Robinson, 22, had even told someone about his heinous plot before he fatally shot Kirk, 31, with a single bullet to the neck in an appearance at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.
"He had a text message exchange with another individual in which he claimed that he had an opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk -- and he was going to do it because of his hatred for what Charlie stood for," Patel told "Fox & Friends."

But the accused killer -- a "furry''-obsessed trade-school student with a transitioning male-to-female partner -- suggested the same murderous thought later on a physical note, Patel said.

Here FBI Director Kash Patel claims there was a written note by the suspect Tyler Robinson outlining the planned assassination before it happened. Unfortunately it was destroyed (!) but Patel claims he authenticated it as "Evidence" by "Our Aggressive Interview Posture."

Let me translate that: what he's saying is he got someone close to Robinson to confirm the FBI's pre-conceived note scenario by aggressive interrogation and prosecution threats. Remember in the Oswald case there was also a threatening "note" that proved he was a crazed assassin, but it was destroyed by FBI Agent James Hosty who testified that he burned the note and then flushed it because his superior told him to. Now the media is running around saying FBI Director confirms evidence of a threatening note...this is disinformation 101...for some reason!

Well, nobody here wanted or supposedly participated in a murder. I thought the whole point of the Discord angle was that it was a den of conspirators to murder Charlie. If a group conspires to kill someone, and one of them does, the killer doesn't go to the group and apologize. He says "we got the mofo!" You expressed my sentiments exactly. I am now staunchly anti-death penalty, but not on moral philosophical grounds. I do believe there are some crimes so heinous that the death penalty is appropriate. (Not as vengeance - which is always wrong - but as declaration against the inhumanity of the heinous crime that was committed.)

But since they launched law-fare on Trump and all things MAGA, I now see clearly no government should have the power to end the life of someone they have locked away in custody.
Life without the possibility of parole is the maximum power the government should have over any convict.
