Hopefully Trump has a solid start on restaffing both the CIA and FBI, getting them weaponized against all forms of domestic and US-caused foreign corruption. 3 years to dismantle the Obama disease root trunk and limb.....and then in year 4 a very public accounting of what was learned with 100s of federal indictments and sentences. Finally, measures established to prevent all future iterations of USAID and all other forms of spending taxes with zero accountability.

That is pointedly not my caping solely for Xianity although I think Xianity is as good a one if not better than most. I think people perversely are wrapped up in the longing for what they think they see in those fading WW2 photographs not understanding that that was a near ran thing. They are addicted to rage politics and believe fiercely in Santa Claus and Perpetual Motion economics rather than accepting life is hardship and tradeoffs. They remember where you put everything they are interested in.
Which is most things when given a chance. I've heard some experts that say that dogs only have limited memory. But Samoyeds seem to have more of a memory than that. Posted by: Axeman at September 15, 2025 08:12 PM (krQz2) You couldn't hide anything from him. His memory was long. Totally observant. He could open the screen door from inside and outside of the house and let himself in and out as he pleased. He would jump up inside and hot the inside lever and push the door open in one movement. To come back in he would jump up and punch the latch button to bounce the door off the jamb, stick his nose in before it closed and pushed the door open with his body. We had to give him pills one time. A small round white pill. He had a large dog dish that he always licked clean like it came out of the dish washer. I hid the pill in a huge mound of food. When he was done the bowl was licked clean, and in the bottom was the frigging pill, and that was clean. He found the damn pill and left it in the dish as if to say kiss my ass, you take it. I would first screen for Academy grads that did not test for the opening at the Academy. Exempt the special cases like children of Medal of Honor winners. I would expect this from DEM Senators and Representatives. Interview that grad's first top NCO. Look for Commie infestation. Because it's not just Flag rank, it's all officers of that time period. Look hard for ringers. Posted by: NaCly Dog at September 15, 2025 07:55 PM (u82oZ) There's no test for entrance to the Academies, at least there wasn't in the 90s. You still had to apply for a nomination from your senators or representative on top of the application to the academy. There were also Presidential nominations (based on parent's military record) and Vice Presidential nominations (don't remember what this involved) and the aforementioned for the children of Medal of Honor recipients. The entire process is different for prior enlisted. The Air Force Academy also has a prep school on the installation. Posted by: Farquad at September 15, 2025 08:29 PM (HSJIN) 122

There is not, there are multiple routes in but the primary is as has always been the case appointment by the legislature. Different states handle this in different ways by tradition, but it has been my experience that democrats promote pre-emptively on political lines and republicans often do not. Like most things this is reflective of the democrats viewing politics as war by other means. You can work your way into West Point from the ranks (exceedingly rare) and you can be sent to the Point (and I am using West Point to denote ALL academies) through direct Presidential intervention (even more rare). You have to have an SAT or ACT on file but it is not determinative so long as you meet reserve officer standards on testing metrics for induction. At least with the Air Force Academy, by the time you get to graduation your class is whittled down from around 1500 in Basic Cadet Training to between 1100-1200 (again '90s numbers). During the screening, which lasted approximately 30 minutes, the teacher allegedly delivered a lecture on anti-fascism and anti-trans activism, explicitly stating that Kirk "deserved" the killing due to his political views. Military has a hierarchy in the officer ranks
- Academy - ROTC - OCS - direct commission Sure there are exceptions but as a general rule the upper castes move up faster, and when on the civilian side will get more favorable treatment from fellow alums than anything the ivy leagues have ever been accused. During downtime in Kosovo we played a computer game called “You Don’t Know Jack”, a pretty good trivia/history game. One of our LT pilots was a West Pointer. Not a bad guy, but a little on the lefty squishy side, I think. Anyway I’m just a Sarge and I would smoke his ass on that game. Admittedly I was called “Encyclopaedia” as a little kid, so I wasn’t average, but I could tell it pissed him off severely. 22,000 to 876 scores that kind of thing. He claimed I was cheating, naturally.
Slick Willy showed up briefly and gave a speech in one of the clamshell hangars as he was passing through. A lot of people were giddy, acting childish as if their favorite soap opera star was deigning to say hi. I actually declined to go see the guy, probably the only one? Not sure. The Houston Texans, a pre-season consensus for-certain contender for the AFC Championship, are replaying the previous two years, firing on five or six out of eight cylinders last week and tonight.
They may eke out the win tonight. Leading 19-14 with 2 minutes remaining. Tonight's game is like most of their games the last two seasons. Putz-around for three quarters, getting behind, then looking amazing for the last 12 game minutes, sometimes winning on the last drive. Ugh. Posted by: Gref at September 15, 2025 09:50 PM (5rh/l) 265
Sorry, I wasn't in the services. Is a distinction between new academy officers and other new officers is that the academy grads don't know they don't know?

Is this true? Have the morons heard about this? Posted by: kallisto at September 15, 2025 02:06 PM ----- I have NOT watched it. That's cruel and traumatic for young people. Posted by: JM in Illinois at September 15, 2025 10:00 PM (p+8vO) 272

Posted by: Mikey Alpha Kilo, Nerd? Yes, we much Thirty years ago it was "green to gold" in Army but they were also call mustangs then. For some reason ALL the NCOs would say it was the way it should be, but not around the officers. And that mustangs chances for advancement were limited (by zee ring-knockers). Now the Marines are different. Posted by: Itinerant Alley Butcher at September 15, 2025 10:03 PM (/lPRQ) 273

You have a choice to make, and I respect either one. I watched with knowledge a decent human get shot at defacto point blank range speaking his mind endure a hydrostatic shockwave. I suspect strongly as he died he prayed for two things, his family and the soul of his killer. That is not meant as melodrama it is meant as the highest respect I can give. I'd watch it at least once to understand what the left's pet monsters which are being proven to be publicly funded will do if they do not get their way. It steeled my resolve to see them ground to dust like the Klan. God bless you. Posted by: sven at September 15, 2025 10:06 PM (XFYYr) 278
