This is an excellent question, and demanding of thorough research! A cursory search of "naked Japanese women" would seem to indicate both pink and darker nipples are possible, but I will persevere in my research for a more definitive answer.

Federal research funds would be much appreciated, and help in this important field of study.

81 Well this is unexpected. I've seen a lot of Larrson's paintings but never a nude like this. The color scheme and architecture are typical of his work: exact lines in walls and furniture and the soft, pastel colors. He used the same style with the model. She is a young woman, relaxed, with the smooth skin tones and soft curves of her age. It is both a portrait and very sensual without being shocking. An interesting balance. It is also peaceful. The flowers on her lap reflect the same softness as the girl.

It is easy for me to imagine the same scene but with a bonsai next to her or a shallow vat with water lilies by her feet.

Swedish here too, at least 1/4. My maternal grandfather was from Sweden. My grandmother, his wife, was from Ruthenia, now prob. part of Ukraine. Dad's people were German. Hard to get any more European than that mix, I guess.

106 I was born and grew up amongst 60,000 Norwegian immigrants in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Both parents came here from Norway after the war. Went to a Norwegian language church until age 10. Aunts, uncles, came over, some went back.

It seems age 13-14 is the cutoff for having an accent or not for those that came over. I knew families where the older children had an accent and the younger ones didn't. My MIL came over in her late 20s and had a very strong accent, my parents were 18, 19, and had a moderate accent.

The rug seems darker where it lies under the chair and couch, so that's kind of a shadow. And there is some darkness beyond the door on the left. But yes, she does not cast a shadow herself.

A female NYPD cop was slashed in the face in Brooklyn Sunday morning by a madman armed with a 14-inch butcher knife after he entered a police precinct by the back door, authorities said.

Nope, the blue slip policy is what is affecting district court nominations and DA noms in blue states. Dems are trying to keep their blue states blue and protect corrupt pols/votecheating/etc.

Tillis is rather minor in all of that. Without the two blue slips from senatorial courtesy, the nomination never is even advanced to a vote in Judiciary. And that lets the foxes aka Dem judges in blue states pick the new acting DA. NJ mess is part of that.

Grassley already overrode the blue slip policy for appellate courts back in 2017. It's wrong but the Courts of Appeals have seats that are considered a particular state's on the COA as far as senatorial courtesy is involved.
