At a tech press dinner Thursday, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman mention that the company continues on its path to invest trillions on new AI datacentres and looks set to break $10 billion on gross revenue this year. (The Register)

That's up from last year, when the company lost $5 billion on revenues of $5 billion.

Asked if this was a bubble, Altman responded yes.

Is the Alldocube iPlay mini Ultra an affordable alternative to the scarce high-end compact tablets like Lenovo's Legion Tab? (Notebook Check)

Yes. Maybe.

It roughly matches the specs of last year's Legion Tab, though it is not drastically cheaper.

Yeah, it’s probably adequate for light work.

All you need is a monitor and peripherals and you can get a M4 Mac Mini with 16 & 256 GB for $599.

Their laptops are nice, though, either the display and battery life they have.

Only 8GB of RAM is a little concerning -- as Pixy has told us, newer Macs won't let you upgrade. But the MacBook Air from 2013 I've been using here has been fine with everything I've asked of it. $599 does not sound bad.

Yes and no. If you're using it for office apps, and web surfing you'll be fine. This machine will run circles around the one you have right now. And the battery life will amaze you.

If I was paying full retail for a machine with 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD there's not a chance in hell I'd buy it. But at this price? For this kind of money, you're going to get a crappy iPad.

My son arranged a date online which is apparently - according to a friend in her thirties - what many young people do nowadays. The woman said online, "I want to be a trophy wife" which had I been a male seeking a date/- would have made me raise my eyebrows, but he thought it was humorous . She also said she wanted to get married and have kids. O.k. She showed up with her mother and her brother who are from M.D. and they wouldn't let my son sit at their table. She apparently lied on her profile and she is 40, not 25.
The rather funny bit was there was something wrong with his debit card, they paid for the three of them and husband came back of course to pay for him.Well, I guess she won't be contacting him anymore😉

I told him to consider a Faith based religious site, but that he should probably lay off internet dating sites

I am thankful I met and dated people the usual way. I have performed a marriage service for a nice couple who met online but it seems fraught with possible problems.

74 Good morning, all. Random posting here. My mom sent me some pictures from a photo site she goes to that were taken within a dead mall.

Going to be honest: The pictures kind of make me sad. Kids today lack spaces like malls to interact normally with other kids. I get that it's easier to order online and not take the risk of being in the middle of a gang war but it still sucks.

The comment box going bold is a feature but it changing colors is new. And autocorrect started up after I noted a different change in formatting and turned off after I commented about it being on when I have turned off in settings.

Is pixy getting ready for 0.9 beta?

Based on what's being reported on social media, a lot of women see men as just a thing to get money from. Women on tiktok talking about how they go on as many dates as possible every week just to get free dinners, inviting friends on dates and expecting the man to pay, etc.

They, seemingly, spend a lot of time trying to one-up each other for being the worst person in the world all while singing the feminist refrain of "I don't need no man".

I foresee an ocean of tears in a few years.

The comment box going bold is a feature but it changing colors is new. And autocorrect started up after I noted a different change in formatting and turned off after I commented about it being on when I have turned off in settings.

Gross oversimplification incoming:

Women today fall into three categories:

1. She recognizes that she wants to marry and have children. She understands the current difficulties surrounding dating and locks up a man as young as possible. Sadly, many of these will decide later that they "missed out on having fun" and so will divorce and suffer for it.
2. She wants to "enjoy" her youth. She don't need no man except to have sex with an endless parade of them. Since she's not looking to settle down, she screws guys she could never land and decides that all men are horrible because the ones who can get dozens of women to sleep with them... do. Eventually she decides to "settle" for someone who would have been on her level when she was 20 but she's so damaged that they're both miserable.

The thing that is most common complaint from men is that women starve men of the few things they need but are critical to his well being such as nookie, respect and admiration.

The women often transactional and trade for sex, or of the variety who enjoy sex and if she is having sex with you, she is having sex with others. The respect and admiration is the bait and hook that leads to the relationship, and then that drops off dramatically because human nature is such where I memory of bad things greatly exceeds our memory of good things, and the memories pile up until we hate each other.

So men ran to Promise Keepers because it restored men's self-respect, reason-for-being, and spiritual growth.

So naturally the women-driven churches killed it.
