Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Melania Trump Threatens $1 Billion Defamation Lawsuit Against Drug-Addict and Lifelong John Hunter BidenHunter Biden, the black sheep of the Biden family, has long flirted with legal trouble, and he has benefited greatly from his father's blanket pardon for any alleged crimes committed over a ten-year period. Yet he now faces a new legal threat, one that even daddy's pardon can't shield him from. Melania Trump is taking a firm stand against Hunter Biden's reckless and defamatory claims linking her to Jeffrey Epstein, threatening a lawsuit seeking over $1 billion in damages. Hunter alleged in a recent YouTube interview that Epstein introduced Melania to Donald Trump -- a baseless accusation that has been widely circulated and condemned. Hunter Biden, in an interview with British journalist Andrew Callaghan, stated, "Epstein introduced Melania to Trump. The connections are, like, so wide and deep." He doubled down with "Jeffrey Epstein introduced Melania, and that's how Melania and the first lady and the President met," repeating these false remarks despite their glaring lack of credibility. These inflammatory claims hinge on assertions made by Michael Wolff, an author with a notorious reputation for fabricating stories. Wolff's allegations appeared in a Daily Beast article, which was swiftly retracted and apologized for after Melania's legal team challenged its veracity. Melania Trump's attorney, Alejandro Brito, issued a scathing demand for Hunter Biden to immediately retract his defamatory statements and issue a public apology. Brito described the comments as "false, defamatory, disparaging, and inflammatory," emphasizing how the allegations caused "overwhelming financial and reputational harm" to the First Lady. The lawyer made it clear that failure to comply would lead to pursuing all legal remedies, reflecting the seriousness of this reckless defamation. The narrative of Epstein introducing Melania to Donald Trump has been thoroughly debunked. Melania and Donald Trump have consistently maintained that they first met at a New York Fashion Week party in 1998 through modeling agent Paolo Zampolli--not through Epstein. Though Trump and Epstein were acquaintances in the 1990s and early 2000s, their relationship soured by 2004, and Donald Trump has no connection to Epstein's criminal legacy. Meanwhile, Democrats keep trying and failing to weaponize Trump's past associations, ignoring that figures like Bill Clinton have far deeper and more troubling links to Epstein. The life Hunter has lived since birth -- always privileged, always skating on every crime because Daddy will make a phone call, always "earning" a million per year to sell out the interests of the United States to disgusting corrupt foreigners -- is over. He needs to accept this and adjust. No one is going to pay him $100,000 a pop for his "watercolors" anymore. His "honey brother" isn't going to cover a $20 million judgement against him. But he'll keep on going. He's a drug addict and he has the damaged brain of a drug addict. Update: Asked if he would ever issue an apology for his defamation, he said "F*** that" and laughed. He thinks he's judgment-proof. But Trump has enough money to sue him without an expectation of getting money in return. And he can attach Hunter's future earnings, whatever those turn out to be. And if the crack-addict hides his money -- which he will -- Trump can get a judge to throw him in jail.

[From a week ago, h/t Tom Servo:]
Democratic strategist James Carville publicly apologized and removed content from his podcast after suggesting a connection between Melania Trump and Jeffrey Epstein, prompting legal action from the First Lady's attorney. At the start of a podcast episode on August 7, 2025, Carville stated that his team had received a letter from Melania Trump’s lawyer objecting to the YouTube video title "The Epstein Connection: Trump & Melania" and certain comments he made about her. In response, Carville said they took down the video, edited out the disputed remarks, and issued a formal apology: “I also take back these statements and apologize." Wifey was wondering if maybe Hunter picked-up the Melania-Epstein bullshit from Carville. I informed her of the following:
Hunter Biden made critical remarks about Democratic strategist James Carville during a three-hour interview with Andrew Callaghan, released in July 2025. He accused Carville of being out of touch, stating, "James Carville hasn't run a race in 40 fucking years" and dismissed his political relevance. Biden's comments were part of a broader expletive-laden critique of prominent Democrats whom he believed undermined his father, President Joe Biden, during the 2024 election campaign. It's quite ironic that back in the day, when Epstein was a jet-setting billionaire and the talk of the town, every liberal who fancied himself a big shot wanted to be seen with him.

So, what if Epstein did introduce them? So what? If she was age of consent at the time (which I assume she was, since Trump is no pedo), then there's nothing to see here.
Or, is the alleging that Melania was groomed by Epstein when she was underage, and then introduced to Trump when she was of age? But either way, introducing two grown adults to one another is generally a harmless act. Posted by: Bulg at August 15, 2025 12:21 PM (77rzZ) 74

I finally saw the "live-action" Little Mermaid. I used scare quotes because at least half and probably closer to 2/3rd of the movie is pure CGI, and not even good CGI at that.
What was Disney thinking making this movie? While it’s not the woke disaster many people claimed, it was mid at best. Way too long, terrible casting all around, and literally every (pointless) change they made from the original made the movie worse. The new songs? Crap. The rewrites to the original songs? Crap. The revisions to the characters and story? Double crap. They essentially wrote out the entire central love story, made Eric far less heroic and charismatic (oh and he's an orphan now?!), and made the whole thing slow and boring. I was thinking that "this is a hetero love story made by faggots." I later learned that, yes indeed, it was made by faggots. The casting for Ariel was a yuge problem. Yes, the girl has a fantastic voice. But it was all over-dubbed anyway. She could have song for anyone. There was no reason to case her in the role. She was mediocre as an actress, not particularly good-looking, and looked nothing like the "real" Ariel. Posted by: Elric The Blade at August 15, 2025 12:23 PM (iFTx/) 84

Posted by: Bulg at August 15, 2025 12:21 PM (77rzZ) Yeah, Melania was a model, and Trump liked models. It's also true there were a few modeling agencies, both here and in france, who were known to traffic in underaged girls. Some had ties to Epstein, but the reputable agencies, once they got wind of what these others were up to, stopped allowing their models to interact with the traffickers. It would have been nice if they had exposed the truth themselves back then, once they knew what was going on, but the whole truth of all of this is that underaged trafficking was and is a thing among the rich and famous. The little mermaid source material is horrible in fact. The more you change it the better.
I have been subjected to a great many elementary and middle school productions and they always choose original source for these as it's not copyrighted by disney who has revoked many performance rights, and cheaper. It is horrible. It is a mean tell meant to scare daughters into obeying her parents. If the rumors are true and the Feds are about to take a stake in Intel the stock will go up a lot, as it's already doing.
Generally I'd be against this, but if Intel goes down the entire tech industry will be at the mercy of TSMC for cutting edge chips. That can't happen, not just because of the monopoly, but because of that monopoly being based on an island the Chinese have been coveting for almost 80 years. Intel needs to get the process nodes straightened out and working so they'll have some product to sell and they can pull out of this. Sounds like he's not serious about film. Even if it's not your type of flick, Casablanca is considered one of the best American films of all time. If you're into film you have to watch it at least once just to see if you agree it's good. Personally, I think it's a fine film - seen it a few times. But to never have seen it is to miss all of the cultural references to that film that have happened ever since. "I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here!" would be wasted on him, along with "Play it again, Sam" (which is probably the most famous misquote ever). The grotesqueries of Fellini can be a bit much in certain instances (hold off on Satyricon until you're ready), but Nights of Cabiria is kind of that sweet spot between his Italian neo-realist roots and the more grotesque future ahead of him. Two reasons why they shouldn't: 1. The evidence won't convince their "critics", who are not acting in good faith. Look at Egyptian pyramid skeptics. Look at 9/11 truth, or Holocaust revisionism. 2. Keeping the idiots guessing allows them to lump in their legitimate critics with the idiots. I'm not a real fan of musicals but that and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers have a home on my DVD shelves. Posted by: Madamemayhem (uppity wench) at August 15, 2025 01:08 PM (2J/Lj) 292

The planet where Republicans at least paid lip service to free market doctrine. Wasn't that long ago.
Posted by: We Must Not Allow A Mineshaft gp! at August 15, 2025 12:58 PM (iBAge) --- I'm a big proponent of the "Free Market", but the "Market" is created by laws that bound it. It works best as Sowell and Friedman puts it when both parties benefit. I have dollars and I need shoes; you have shoes but you're in business for dollars, we trade at an amount that I should at least feel, well I've got the shoes I needed, and you feel recompensed and if repeated (with others) you feel you can pay your upkeep. The more fraud allowed in this transaction, the less well the Market works. Why should it be a crime if I give you phony dollars if you're allowed to sell me shoddy shoes? Why shouldn't the shop-keeper need the same caveat emptor defensive awareness? Posted by: Axeman at August 15, 2025 01:09 PM (krQz2) 297
American government was finally persuaded that atomic research was vital, lest the Not sees get it first, and nuke the USA. Then they got a little sloppy, and the Soviets stole all the secrets, advancing their program by 5 years or more. (It took 4).
Then they reluctantly decided to build the Hydrogen bomb, thinking it was too dangerous for world piece. The Soviets followed with theirs within months, not years. The Space program put the USA light years ahead of everyone else. Then, they threw it away, and NASA can’t even get into orbit 60 years later. So much groundbreaking technology is designed and then they just have it stolen, or given away to our competitors. Even a marginally level playing field, America used to provide decent paying jobs, careers actually, in manufacturing things Americans needed to buy. Whether toasters or blenders or radios or TVs, America can’t even make Aspirin any longer, for the headaches that are sure to follow from a half century of dedicated offshoring and business strangling rules and regulations. Just get a decent commuter bike. Bicycles are inherently efficient. After a week or two of use, you will not want the perceived advantage that a Scooter/Moped gives you. And you won't be crippled by weight when the battery/motor fails...or have the Fire Hazard in your domicile. Posted by: garrett at August 15, 2025 01:09 PM (t39oN) 301
I read somewhere back in the “good old days” at most cop shop parking lots there was always that “one guy” whose patrol car’s trunk lid had these mysterious dents on it, roughly the same size as an adult male’s noggin’. Sometimes, the old ways were the best ways.
Posted by: Common Tater at August 15, 2025 12:58 PM (lf5tB) It was explained to me by a fairly hard man who went after extremely hard bastards: If they lip you off after you cuff them, you put their face in the window, and if they do it again, you aim for the pillar and uses some shoulder. They get away with lipping you off once you got them in control, they take it as permission to get more aggressive, so it is best to deal with it sooner. What was Disney thinking making this movie? Posted by: Elric The Blade at August 15, 2025 12:23 PM (iFTx/) All the LA remakes are partly money grabs, as another poster suggested, but also to protect the IP on the original hand-drawn animation, you know ... the one audiences actually like. If the copyright on the original ever expires and it goes into public domain, the Mouse can enjoin independent viewings and seize revenues therefrom on the ground that the public domain original is substantially similar to the remake which is still protected. IP is in our Constitution but it is one of the most twisted and corrupt aspects of American law, and deserves a thorough SCOTUS overhaul. Look up the timeline on the expiration on Monsanto's patent for freon, and the U.S. Government's sudden finding that freon is a pollutant and can no longer be used, right as its production is about to fall into public domain. Bikini was incredibly complex device that was not suited for any real world use. The Russians back engineered it from physics, engineering and isotopes captured from fall out, and made it a workable weapon Posted by: Kindltot at August 15, 2025 01:13 PM (rbvCR) 308

Fuchs provided critical info on the “Super” as the hydrogen bomb was known at the time.
Most or at least many of the physicists did not want to work on it. They were remarkably brilliant, in physics, but profoundly stupid in other ways. The Soviets were going full bore ahead on the hydrogen bomb, and Ed Teller was a realist on the political realities of the time. A lot of really smart people were dumb as a box of rocks when it applies to Communism. Teller to his credit, wasn’t persuaded that they were anything but inhuman monsters, every bit as bad or worse than the Nazis. Posted by: Common Tater at August 15, 2025 01:19 PM (lf5tB) 310

Posted by: Common Tater Hungarians still had memories of Bela Kun post WWI. But for whatever reason, progressivism and belief in scientific based societies took hold in the public imagination during the 20th Century and much of the last part of the 20th and beginning of the 21st is fixing the wreckage left from people obsessed with historical determinism. Still pops up here from time to time--far easier than admitting decline is a choice made everyday by those in society. Posted by: whig at August 15, 2025 02:04 PM (ctrM5) 315
The Space program put the USA light years ahead of everyone else. Then, they threw it away, and NASA can’t even get into orbit 60 years later.
Early in the space race the USSR was definitely ahead of the US. The reason was the Soviets couldn’t figure out how to miniaturize nuclear warheads, so they built large boosters to lift large warheads. These were immediately adaptable to a manned capsule. Meanwhile the US had miniaturized warheads so didn’t need massive boosters. Work on the Atlas family of rockets didn’t start until the late 1950s. Witness the hapless attempts by the US Navy to put a satellite in orbit with the Vanguard rocket. Luckily the US Army still had von Braun who launched Pioneer I with a modified Jupiter-C under the newly formed NASA auspices. Posted by: NemoMeImpuneLacessit at August 15, 2025 02:07 PM (ZVgZ4) 316

Posted by: Vengeance Schumer is an empty man as fake as the hamburgers on the unlit grill in that picture. Democrats in office lie, lie all the time, and do so even when the contradictory evidence is right there to refute those lies. There are lies, damned lies, and every statement made by a Democrat in office deliberately. (They do tell the truth on occasion inadvertently or when in what they think are safe audiences). Their problem is that only about 25 percent of the population buy those lies, the other part of the Dem coalition is gimmedats --they know what the Dems are promising are lies but they got paid. Kennedy’s plan to use NASA to put a man on the moon and return him safely within a decade reminds me of the Great Western steamship of 1838. It and her competitor the SS Sirius were a generation ahead of the rest of their competitors in the transatlantic crossing trade and almost bankrupted their builders. Only later when Cunard launched the SS Parthia and the SS Bactavia in 1868 did the modern steamship era arrive, allowed by improvements in hulls as wood was replaced by iron, replaced by steel, and by improvements in the efficiency of steam engines (greater use of double acting vs. single acting cylinders, etc.). Something similar is going on in space travel. Early attempts, the 1960s, were one-offs that mostly worked, sometimes didn’t (the Soviet Nova booster). Now, generations later, re-usable boosters and upper stages are making commercial space flight a working proposition, engendered by improved technologies, without the need so much for direct government subsidies.
