Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Morning Report — 8/11/25![]() Meh, if President Trump invented a cure for cancer, his and our enemies would be screaming louder than the Concord's engines at full volume through a stack of Marshall amps in defense of sweet innocent cancer from "literally Hitler!" In the name of our precious democracy, of course. Pfft. So, with that in mind, the holy hell this move from President Trump will cause is going to be off the charts. The US military is preparing to activate hundreds of National Guard troops to Washington, DC as a part of President Trump’s sweeping federal crackdown on crime in the nation’s capital, according to authorities. Trump has yet to make a final decision about the activation of federal troops, but the National Guard is currently readying to deploy them, two US officials with knowledge of the operation confirmed to Reuters. The preparation comes as 120 FBI agents from across the country have already begun patrolling DC streets overnight and backing up area cops at carjacking hot spots, despite many lacking local patrol work training, The Washington Post reported. . . “Be prepared! There will be no “MR. NICE GUY.” We want our Capital BACK,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social Sunday ahead of a planned White House press conference Monday morning about the city’s cleanliness and general condition. This announcement comes on the heels of last week's announcement by the President of his intention to strip DC of home rule and bring it under federal control. Considering that the majority of crimes of all kinds in our nation's cities are committed by black youths, and that said cities have been run for decades by Democrats, you don't have to be Kreskin or Jeanne Dixon to predict the reaction. As a former resident of New York City who came of age in the bad old days of the 60s through the 80s and then experienced the miraculous renaissance engendered by he coming of Rudy Giuliani, the feeling of not having to have eyes in the back of your head nor having to worry about riding the subway at night was truly liberating. All of the anti-crime policies that the usual suspects on the Left scream about as racist and have done all they can in the years since Rudy left Gracie Mansion to eliminate benefit and protect the so-called "communities of color." non-white criminals by and large prey upon blacks and latinos most of all. But of course, the Left cannot attain power without sowing division and tearing at the scars of racialism that they inflicted on us for decades. It's why this item disgusts me no end: Illinois Lt. Governor Tweets That Michael Brown Was “Murdered” In fact, Brown was shot when he sucker punched a cop and tried to grab his service weapon. . . Yet 11 years after Brown’s shooting, the lie persists and is spread by politicians and activists. On August 9, 2014, Michael Brown was shot dead by Officer Darren Wilson in Ferguson, Missouri. According to the narrative, Brown was a “gentle giant” who was shot by a racist cop just for being black, while his hands were raised shouting ‘don’t shoot.’ Of all the vile depredations perpetrated on our nation and society by Barak Obama during his accursed tenure defiling the Oval Office by his mere presence behind the Resolute Desk, his poisonous racism set us back 50 years or more in terms of the advances in becoming a colorblind society. The bitter irony is that in order for Obama and his ilk to gain and maintain power, they need America to be the racist illegitimate colonialist hell on earth they have blood libeled it as for years. Elsewhere, Forget deploying the National Guard to DC. or perhaps even the efforts to go after the Russian Colluion hoax purveyors that will likely gain very little traction. Not that it isn't necessary regardless of the slim to none chances of the wicked conspirators facing the music. I'd much rather the DOJ and FBI go after these bastards with fistfuls of RICO charges. In 2022, leftist online warrior and Media Matters for America Founder David Brock launched Project 65, which has the explicit goal to “disbar and discredit” any attorney who helped Donald Trump in his challenges to the veracity of the 2020 election. . . The “65” in Project 65 is ostensibly in the name because they were targeting 65 attorneys who, in their eyes, tried to overthrow democracy with Trump, though the number is entirely arbitrary. The board consists of assorted leftists both familiar and unfamiliar, as well as establishment Republicans. . . All of these names direct their time and resources to sowing chaos in our streets by advocating for people and policies that undermine the concept of law and order itself. As for George Soros, Reid Hoffman, and the Sandler Foundation, I contend they are attempting to buy our democracy outright – attempting to do so through lawfare.Penniless, rotting in prison or swinging from a noose should be their fate. Because ultimately, that is what they have planned in one form or another for every real American citizen. That is, you and I my friends. It's us or them. It’s “interesting” how the Narrative has changed. The old PSAs from the 50s and 60s were pretty clear “Don’t judge people on their skin color or ethnicity or national origin, only on their character”.
Why has the left abandoned this? Completely. Judging anyone on their character is called “white supremacy” or somesuch. Or lack of character. Seems to me it is leftists who, without publicly stating this, must apparently believe their pet minorities are simply incapable of integrating or functioning in a modern society. Whose fault is that? I’ve never subscribed to leftist notions in the first place. Posted by: Common Tater at August 11, 2025 07:33 AM (DUXLF) 17
While I'm not too much of a fan of using military force in our cities, DC has been allowed to be a problem for far too long. Add that to Trump pushing to get the homeless removed and things might turn around.

Why has the left abandoned this?
They haven't. It's just a Kafka trap. Judge by the content of character? Das raysis. Judge by the color of their skin? Das raysis. Mind you, it never applies to them because they Care So Hard™ for those poor minorities! Posted by: NR Pax at August 11, 2025 07:36 AM (RjOoY) 20

Barack Obama’s presidency didn’t just strain America—it shattered its social fabric, fueling the political divide that made today’s bitter polarization inevitable. Obama could have said something like, "Our racial past did not come up to the ideals on which this country was founded. My election shows we have moved past that. Let's take this country forward, together." And had a centrist administration. Hell, I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt at his inauguration. But, no. He had to be an entitled, lecturing, prissy little ponce who exacerbated every racial and social problem in the US with his stupid rhetoric. I don't think we'll ever overcome the damage he caused. One unmentioned issue on the DC thing...Fed employees, many who now are loyal to Trump, have been living with weekly after school time shootings around their buildings and Metro stations. Since they aren't looking at bonuses and raises and are looking at continued 5 day in office work, many have a limit to how much they'll give the country to do the "grunt work" (aka, not everyone is Blue Balls) that pays less than what many were doing before.
This is one way Trump is now looking out for his own people = it's not a surprise this comes up now, as many have finally been confirmed and 1st hires are being brought in. It's why he wants to take over DC, b/c patrolling the streets doesn't stop the teens from getting right back out after arrests, but being 100% in charge on martial law probably could... I can't be convinced that it's not a result of highly processed and over processed foods, everything made with bad seed oils, cancer-causing food dyes, things that just weren't in the diet for Americans many decades ago. That's not to let the covid vax off the hook either, but overall, what we call food today is not like the food of yesteryear. There's no getting around the connection, imho. Let’s put this in perspective. The U.S. sugar industry sustains 142,000 jobs across 22 states. It supports 11,000 family-owned farms working more than 2 million acres. The economic output from this sector is staggering: $4.2 billion injected annually into local communities and $23 billion into the broader American economy. That’s not protectionism—it’s patriotism.
And yet, the Journal would have us abandon it all on the altar of theoretical efficiency. Their editorial reads like a love letter to the World Trade Organization and a break-up note to every rural American who dares to want a shot at economic survival. I quit reading WSJ about 15 or so year ago. And why must every Biz Degree person agree with pure global FREE TRADE that does NOT exist in real world. The Trump–Ukraine scandal was a political scandal that arose primarily from the discovery of U.S. president Donald Trump's attempts to coerce Ukraine into investigating his political rival Joe Biden and thus potentially damage Biden's campaign for the 2020 Democratic Party presidential nomination. -- Wikipedia
There it is "potentially damage Biden's campaign for the 2020 Democratic Party presidential nomination" as a precursor to Trump's impeachment. When the call to Zelenskyy occurred in July 2019, it was not a done deal that Joe Biden would be the Democrat nominee. When Letitia James went after Trump, it was much more clear that Trump would, absence the legal action, be the Republican nominee. If Trump deserved an impeachment over trying to legally (remotely) question a political candidate, then Letitia James deserves as much of the same as the law allows. A ruling from a federal judge in Mississippi contained factual errors — listing plaintiffs who weren’t parties to the suit, including incorrect quotes from a state law and referring to cases that don’t appear to exist — raising questions about whether artificial intelligence was involved in drafting the order.
U.S. District Judge Henry T. Wingate issued an error-laden temporary restraining order on July 20, pausing the enforcement of a state law that prohibits diversity, equity and inclusion programs in public schools and universities. This is a high-profile case, in which the judge obviously used an artificial intelligence program to write a pro-DEI opinion. As often happens with AI, the opinion was inexplicably, and wildly, inaccurate: The original order lists plaintiffs such as the Mississippi Library Association and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., who have never been involved in the pending litigation and who do not even have cases pending before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi. The report found that 1 percent of the African American high school graduates who took the SAT in 2024 scored between 1400 and 1600, the highest possible scores, and 27 percent of the Asian graduates scored at that level. Supreme Court formally asked to overturn landmark same-sex marriage ruling. Kim Davis, the former Kentucky county clerk who was jailed for six days in 2015 after refusing to issue marriage licenses to a gay couple on religious grounds, is appealing a $100,000 jury verdict for emotional damages plus $260,000 for attorneys fees.
More fundamentally, she claims the high court's decision in Obergefell v Hodges -- extending marriage rights for same-sex couples under the 14th Amendment's due process protections -- was "egregiously wrong." They said Roe v Wade would never be overturned too. And during confirmation hearings, some nominees said it was settled law (Stare decisis). Look how that turned out. I hate to agree, but liberals held the majority then. It passed 5-4. with Roberts, Thomas and Alito all writing dissenting opinions. It could indeed be overturned. Why can't people like Kim Davis go away? I'm sick of these people. Americans overwhelmingly support gay marriage. I would like to think the Supreme Court will laugh her away, but I have given up expecting them to behave in a humane manner. There were many such cases, according to reports, and they deserve to tell their stories.”
