Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Appeals Court Overrules Partisan Operative "Judge" Boasberg, Rebukes Him For "Overstepping His Authority" When He Presumed to Hold Trump In Criminal ContemptCharlie KirkTwo Trump judges overturned Boasberg's attempt to arrest Trump officials. One Obama judge dissented (of course). The Trump judges found that Boasberg lacked authority to continue his judicial witchhunt. They also found him wrong on the legal merits. Boasberg is claiming that his ambiguous order should be read in a certain way, and by that reading, Trump officials acted in contempt. The judges on the Appeals panel found that the abiguous ruling could be read either of two different ways, and by one reading, the Trump Administration obeyed the order. They also note that Boasberg is attempting to conjure a contempt charge out of the facts of a confusing and quickly-changing situation where the facts were unclear (as was his corrupt ruling). Fox: Although the opinion does not state this explicitly, the gist seems to be: Boasberg, you rushed to involve yourself in this matter without bothering to fully appreciate the facts or the law, and you wrote a sloppy, rushed opinion which was open to multiple interpretations. You can't pick and choose which parts of your ruling are "real" and you can't claim that your sloppy, ambiguous opinion only had one interpretation. It has multiple fair interpretations, and you probably could have cleaned it up to be enforceable if you weren't in such a mad partisan rush to Get Trump. ulie Kelly 🇺🇸

Wikipedia -
Cornelia Thayer Livingston Pillard (born March 4, 1961), known professionally as Nina Pillard, is an American lawyer and jurist serving since 2013 as a U.S. circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. Before becoming a judge, Pillard was a law professor at Georgetown University. She was confirmed by a 51–44 vote, with her detractors labeling her as one of the most liberal nominees to the federal bench in decades. Pillard has been compared to Ruth Bader Ginsburg for her civil rights advocacy, and has been mentioned as a possible Supreme Court nominee. Judge Assberg's criminal contempt order was so batshit crazy insane that there shouldn't be a judge in the country who can defend it. Yet out of the three appeals judges hearing this, one of them was totes OK with the insane order. Of course it was a DEI fucknugget Obama judge. That's how close Trump came to losing this appeal. The TROs claim of universal applicability is being ignored, just as Boasberg’s order to “Turn that plane around!” was ignored. Trump, and his administration, is being careful to follow the TROs in the districts where they apply, and to the letter of the law. Also, being temporary, they are soon enough ignored when they run out.

When I worked IT, if I was wrong... I'd get fired. When I worked Medical IT, I could get sued, and with HIPAA maybe go to jail if wrong enough. So, if a Judge is continuously wrong... ILLEGALLY wrong... what happens? Nada... We need a mechanism to hold Judges accountable for being wrong, and allowing others to break the law. I figure it should be almost routine, probably 2 or 3 every few years. At least until they get their head out of their ass. Congress has abdicated their duty in myriad ways, and this is one of them. The judiciary has formed a fifth column against the republic and its citizens. This isn’t about law or constitution for them as this decision shows. It’s about using our governments third branch to subvert the balance of powers and put it in their unelected, biased political hands. Some might say this decision disproves what I’ve proffered. I’ll say not only that it shouldn’t have reached this point, but the full court and SCOTUS have yet to rule.
Our constitution and Bill of Rights define very clearly our framers and founders intents for the rights of citizens. It makes it clear this is the people’s government and Congress is merely our representatives. We, a large majority of citizens have also elected a president and given him a mandate. You’ll notice that nowhere in that articulation is the judiciary. They’re Democrats nuclear option to stealing our rights and destroying the republic. Enough is enough. This is Exhibit A why those Senate humgruffins need to get their jizz-dripping asses in gear and confirm Trump's judges. The DC courts are notoriously leftwing. Democrat AG’s have sued to keep the administration from gaining access to information on the states provision of federal benefits like SNAP. That’s because states like NY and California are using it to feed, house and care for their large illegal immigrant population. Without that aid these states will be on the hook for billions in assistance they are current fin banging on the federal taxpayers back. This is of course a Hail Mary move because there is enough settled law to determine rather quickly that the federal government can attach any terms they want to their grants or funds. They are trying to stall the inevitable.

I don't know, in what world, Boasberg would be right.
Boasberg made these ruling WITHOUT having anyone in the Trump administration in court, at all, mere hours after they were filed with the court. He then made excuses that the Trump Administration would not follow court orders anyway, despite having no basis for his belief. Then he acted on his baseless belief again and again in litigation over which he was presiding. He pushed the compliance hearing BEFORE the hearing on the administrations motion to vacate. A huge no-no. His ambiguous ruling could have been clarified if the Trump administration was even allowed in the courtroom when it was made. He would have made his ruling, and then the Trump admin would have asked questions to clarify it or provided information that would clarify it. It all could have been avoided, and the results are all on his decisions. The Supreme court VACATED his TRO - meaning the order doesn't exist, legally. Despite that, Boasberg says the administration is in contempt of the order. It's insane. needs to be removed from the bench, pronto. Or at least blacklisted from any sort of cases involving the trump administration. Posted by: El Mariachi - Attorney at Law at August 08, 2025 03:02 PM (D1vbu) 144

First, it's a good political play, a good bluff. I don't fault him at all, he's playing a weak hand very well. but... The Texas Governor does not have the power to vacate legislative seats for any reason. Never has. What he CAN do (and is beginning to do) is to file a motion with a district judge for that judge to issue a ruling that the seat has been vacated - we'll see how good his judge shopping skills are. Could be done quickly, or could take 6 months if the Judge doesn't want to play. That would most likely be appealed, of course. Posted by: Tom Servo at August 08, 2025 03:25 PM (uWKK8) 228

Although the opinion does not state this explicitly, the gist seems to be: Boasberg, you rushed to involve yourself in this matter without bothering to fully appreciate the facts or the law, and you wrote a sloppy, rushed opinion which was open to multiple interpretations.

This is a win for Trump, but not the resounding bitch-slap I wanted, or that folks are making it out to be. That quote above is actually sympathetic to Boasberg and his need to quickly do something as an excuse for his sloppy writing. Fuck that. He could have done the right thing by writing a very clear order - "Denied for lack of jurisdiction."
Posted by: DPICM at August 08, 2025 03:35 PM (M2VUX) the real reason is he had been up all night plotting with the NGO and making them redo their petition since it had an error in it that would forbid him from doing the TRO in the first place, without the DoJ present. The stench of Boasberg's corruption is too pungent to be ignored.
It was James Boasberg who let the crooked FBI agent Kevin Clinesmith off with probation after finding him guilty of falsifying documents before the FISA court in order to get Carter Page. Boasberg is also one of Chief Justice John Robert's BFF's. John Roberts has a number of rabid, corrupt, Trump-hating lunatics in his circle of friends, including judges Chutkin and Howell. Roberts also flew to the Czech Republic for a week-long series of secret meetings at a secure diplomatic compound with the Trump-hating Lawfare architect Norm Eisen. John Roberts refuses to divulge what he and Eisen discussed. And then we have our good friend Bill Barr, who wanted to go after Trump using RICO statutes.... @ 290...Boasberg is also one of Chief Justice John Robert's BFF's. John Roberts has a number of rabid, corrupt, Trump-hating lunatics in his circle of friends, including judges Chutkin and Howell.
Ask Roberts if it is illegal to adopt children from Ireland. Or, if he's had further seizures on his dock...as I believe that was the warning. Whatever it was, and/or if he'd ever had a seizure prior, are my 2nd and 3rd questions. Seizures can happen to adults without cause, but rare vs from a brain tumor or bleed. I know of one person who had scar tissue from birth. While he was very smart, his Apgar score was initially low...and some unknown tiny burst blood vessels. Then a grand mal seizure in college from the scar tissue. He had no issues as an infant or child. Posted by: ChristyBlinkyTheGreat at August 08, 2025 04:18 PM (6PCLE) 294
