Otter (the good kind) playing on the ice.

Icy clear water in Alaska.

Grooming a teddy bear dog.

Doing man-stuff at the beach.

High winds turn a waterfall into a waterfly.

Kitten is overseeing her servant.

At Instagram, some very cool CGI renders of super-luxury space tourism hotels. (For once I realized they were fake before I posted!)

Saving an injured, orphaned baby emu. At 1:37 you can see the emu chasing the dog around a tree.

Tortoises being absolute superstars.

What a beautiful little snack!

Anatolian shepherd stands down a pack of wolves.

He's a terrible watchdog but such a good boy.

Another golden makes a poor watchdog (but is the best boy anyway).

Melting your drone to get good video of lava and it's worth the cost.

Dogger just relaxing at the beach.

Cats with good genes (who are obviously Nazis, especially the one with the Hitler mustache).

A temporary situation becomes more serious.

Great game for you and your cat and it's free.

Dog is packing for his trip, too.

When the missus wants a little somethin'-somethin'.

Trump impresses at his new golf course.

You don't sit in a dog's spot.

Peter Pan as performed by sheep.

Yeah our current cat Dexter snores, but its quiet sort of kitty snores, not disturbing. He does chase stuff a lot in his dreams though. And jerks away suddenly a lot. Doesn't seem very restful but he sleeps most of the day anyway.

They're already doing that.

Last year some scammers made off with $25 million from a Hong Kong company when they used AI to deepfake a video and audio conference call from the CFO, along with some other fake coworkers, of the company telling the employee to transfer the money in 15 different transactions.

People have been AI deepfaking voices to impersonate relatives begging for money for a few years now.
It usually involves being held for ransom or needing bail money or something similar.
The voices are convincing if the crooks have a recording of your voice to start with.

This sort of thing will be as commonplace in the future as scam phone calls are now unless we figure out a way to prevent it/label it, detect it.

Its has magnificent ancient Puebloan ruins and is the type of place that can and does send chills up your back; it is place where you can be walking along and out of the blue an overwhelming sense of a presence of something bigger that what you can see visits you.

The photo is of one of the iconic Ah-Shi-Sle-Pah land forms and gets a close as you can in a photo to how the night sky there can leave you with tears running down your cheeks.

She's cute. Not saying she's not. But she's not a classic beauty like say a Jolie or Theron. Ana De Armas is a 10/10 in my book.

105 Our Golden would have let anyone in the house...and take them to the laundry room where his treats were stored. To be fed before the bloody rampage of his owners.

The Golden greeting the man above gets his stuffed animal. They do this when they are happy to see you. It is sort of a pacifier.

Our Golden was also addicted to our son's dirty socks and would hide them. Granted the boys were pigs and often did not put them in the laundry basket in their closets. Their father told me to "pick my battles" and I gave up on their rooms in high school.

He once met a couple we were having for dinner, and did not know really well. He arrived in the foyer with a pair of one son's dirty underwear in his mouth to say hello. He reserved this for special guests. Fortunately they had a Golden as well who was a nutcase.

My father was very good at golf. He taught us tennis, basketball, badmitton and baseball. He wanted to teach me golf, figuring I could be (back then) one of the rare females to get a college scholarship and save him money. He was always thinking ahead. I told him it was too slow paced.

I do regret now not having it a try as it would have been more time with him as a teen. But it would probably be only one lesson as I would throw my putter or club as well as the ball as far as I could if I did not succeed quickly. I was known to throw my tricycle in the early days of toddlerhood.

He also taught me to shoot pool, which came in handy at bars in college. I was pretty good.

No scholarships were ever won by me.

They are a generation apart, the only thing they would have in common is being in the movie business, and I can't imagine that being very exciting to talk about for too long.

Plus he's Tom Cruise, he can't really go anywhere without causing a panic, who would want to deal with that drama.

Finally, she let readers know that Crockett received 7,000 fewer votes in her re-election campaign in 2024 than her predecessor, the late Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson, did in 2020.

In other words, though Crockett hails from a safe district in Dallas, she is losing support even there.

The overall message of The Atlantic piece is clear: Jasmine Crockett should not be taken seriously or in any way become the face of the Democratic Party.

In another blog, which is for more old people (I am olde but do not feel old or act old), I post photos of my grands from the back only with no google ID. Due to the dark web stuff and knowing I'd kill someone if they messed with my grandchildren's faces. Some post photos but I know better (or think I do). So I remain in my castle on a hill.

It's a study they did with twins. One had Multiple Sclerosis and one didn't . They found two bacteria in the gut microbiome that seem to be responsible for MS and may give them a way to treat it.

I got 90, and I was surprised that people admitted to getting 40

Oh, I can only imagine! In my prime I loved parties. If there were people I did not know at keggers or mountain bon fires, even better! I never meet a stranger.

Hollow leg and all that, last person standing in those daze. Almost every weekend in college if anyone asked I'd be there...and where I really met my husband. Had seen him around at the hospital where I trained.

I would also say yes to anything, so you bet if I were young and single I'd be there! Thank you again!!!

I'm tied down, too, with the birth of a new baby girl next month (we'll have her siblings for a few nights), company visiting, etc into November. I never say never, however!
