Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Morning Report — 7/21/25![]() The Department of Justice under former [so-called quote-unquote] President Joe Biden actively sought a “federal hook” to justify sending federal law enforcement after parents it labeled “domestic terrorists” because they were concerned about their children’s education. Documents obtained by America First Legal (AFL) show that prior to the infamous Oct. 4, 2021, “domestic terrorist” memo from former Attorney General Merrick Garland, staff were looking for any possible way to go after parents concerned with coronavirus mandates, critical race theory, and “transgender” policies. “We’re aware; the challenge here is finding a federal hook. But WH has been in touch about whether we can assist in some form or fashion,” Kevin Chambers, then an associate deputy attorney general, wrote in an Oct. 1 email, trying to manufacture a way to respond to a teed-up letter sent by the National School Boards Association (NSBA). Career staff at the time were even concerned, saying there was no authority or legal basis for going after parents speaking out at school board meetings, particularly since they were protected by the First Amendment. And so, for me the entire l'affaire Epstein is bullshit in light of the fact that, what we all knew for years is at long last being revealed to a wider and wider audience. That is, all of the above and of course what was done to candidate and then ultimately President Donald Trump. The U.S. Department of Justice announced this week that John Brennan is under investigation, and with good reason. Brennan is the most corrupt former CIA director ever. His transgressions against the U.S., coming to light more succinctly with each passing week, portray an individual who should have never been in government service, let alone CIA director. Now is the time to nail him. . . Russiagate was a complete fabricated lie and yet Brennan, still serving as Obama’s CIA director, put in place a surveillance system to monitor at least two dozen Trump campaign staffers and advisors. Brennan wiretapped and eavesdropped on the conversations of Donald Trump’s most prominent political supporters. . . When Trump ran in 2020, Brennan, as a private citizen, continued his despicable tactics. He was prominent among the 51 former intelligence agents who proclaimed that Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop was a product of Russian disinformation. Brennan knew this assertion was false from the get-go and that the fake stream media would run with it for months.I've asked this before and I still don't understand it. How does someone get a job at the CIA in 1980 who four years earlier voted for the CPUSA presidential ticket of Gus Hall and Angela Davis. I take it back, I totally get it. It means the anti-American rot that permeated much and still permeates quite a bit of our governmental bureaucracy including areas we long thought, or prayed, immune to it, that is our law enforcement and intelligence agencies tasked with preserving our liberties and physical security and safety, must have been corrupt going back well before John Brennan slithered into Langley for a job interview. And so, our current Director of National Intelligence, DNI Tulsi Gabbard had this to say . . On this week’s broadcast on FNC’s “Sunday Morning Futures,” Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard said former President Barack Obama directed a “treasonous conspiracy” against President Donald Trump during his first term. Gabbard said, “The implications of this are, frankly, nothing short of historic. Over 100 documents that we released on Friday really detail and provide evidence of how this treasonous conspiracy was directed by President Obama if just weeks before he was due to leave office after President Trump had already gotten elected. This is not a Democrat or Republican issue — this is an issue that is so, so serious, it should concern every single American because it has to do with the integrity of our democratic republic.”That's her talking, not me. Treason is a hell of a word to toss out there. She surely understands the ramifications of Treason, that is what the appropriate/potential punishment is for those who are convicted of it. Again for me Epstein is bullshit. Obama, Biden, Hillary should swing alongside, Brennan, Comey, Clapper and all of their underlings/henchman who engineered the plot against Trump and all of the crimes against the citizenry of the United States of America. Be nice if she developed a case against all of the above and Malig-Nancy Pelosi for engineering the fake J-6 Reichstag Fire/Weenie Roast. Then again, it's probably not a stretch to connect the dots between Epstein and the aforementioned vis a vis the plots against Trump. The Rot is Ugly Dark and Deep. It's going to take at least 100 years of Trumps and Trumpian presidents to get to the bottom of it all and begin the process of restoring not just the Republic but the public's trust in it. And lastly, a quick shout-out and thank you for your continued support in hitting our tip jar. It truly is appreciated more than you can know. Have a great day!

It was "treason" in the literal sense of the word, if not "treason" as narrowly defined by the Constitution. The difference is whether it's punishable by hanging or only 20 years in PITA prison.

You can’t get a job at Goldman Sachs if you once posted a gym selfie with suboptimal lighting, but at the CIA, the nation’s most “elite” intelligence agency—you can have a history of attending theoretical revolution seminars, and no one even blinks? That’s not oversight. That’s strategic blindness. That’s picking a lock and pretending it was already open. Posted by: Thomas Bender at July 21, 2025 07:48 AM (XV/Pl) 16
Do you understand the absurdity?
This is the CIA, the Central Intelligence Agency. The agency tasked with protecting the nation from existential threats. And their vetting process is looser than a cryptocurrency startup’s onboarding quiz. You check a box, swear you're loyal, and suddenly you have access to drone corridors and surveillance protocols. I’ve been denied building access for wearing Italian leather soles. Meanwhile, some guy who once wrote a zine about dismantling the state is briefing a senator on internal threat vectors. It’s about standards. An intelligence agency that can’t discern ideological risk isn’t intelligent. It’s a cultural fashion house with security clearance. They don’t recruit operatives anymore. They recruit personal brands with security questions like: “What’s your truth?” “How would you ethically hack an imperialist system?” “Are you trauma-informed?” Posted by: Thomas Bender at July 21, 2025 07:51 AM (XV/Pl) 21

The agency tasked with protecting the nation from existential threats. Other than a jobs program and an efficient and reliable way to milk the tax payers for the benefit of the MIC while letting sociopaths bully third world nations around I'm not finding any purpose for the Department of Defense. I'm not working so that Zelenskyy's wife has the latest in Paris fashion, nor do I care to deliver pizzas in the Middle East, and I'm not thrilled about Taiwan expecting me to underwrite their security so they can continue to manufacture their product at home. The DoD has never been tasked with securing We The People and it shows, the nation has zero National Security and is currently electing foreign communists and terrorists in our largest cities. The greatest threats to my security and well being are in every city hall, state house and federal building. Now because we allowed the worst to invade this country and get financial support to engage in evil, even the streets are not safe. I agree, the Brennan, Comey, Obama and other conspiring against Trump and the 10s of millions who voted for him is monumentally more serious than Epstein. May the guilty confess and repent.
However Epstein isn't bullshit, and the truth behind the 'failures' in the jail where he met his demise, who ordered the cleansing and hiding of files from Epstein island and other properties still should come out and be presented to the taxpayers. Taxpayers who at the least, funded the jail and the people who were supposed to surveil him and likely unbeknownst to us, funded more than that. 5.4% is not historically high; it is below the 5.5% that economists once believed was the “Non-Accelerating Inflation Rate of Unemployment” (NAIRU), the lowest rate possible before inflation would begin to rise.
The upwards pressure on wages during years of low unemployment has ZERO.ZERO effect on inflation. Employers may raises prices or cut margins to afford the next new hire but then the shopping nature of the consumer will either decide against the purchase or find a competitor. None of these actions are inflationary. Posted by: rhennigantx at July 21, 2025 08:07 AM (gbOdA) 63

I agree that it will take a long time to fully right all the wrongs caused by years of allowing the permanent DC government to grow and mutate with almost zero oversight. But we've never had an opportunity like this to fully expose the rot to a country that largely doesn't even know the rot existed.
I don't think it has truly sunk in yet that we now have documented proof that a former US president used the powers of his office to run a color revolution on his own country. If a Republican president had done what Obama did the media would be screamng 7x24 about a Constitutional Crisis and demanding gallows be built on the national mall. We will have to do this without the media's help. This is by far the biggest political scandal in US history. Posted by: JackStraw at July 21, 2025 08:16 AM (viF8m) 80

Biden Hack-in-Black Rules Trump’s Dismissal of FTC Democrats ‘Unconstitutional.’
--- There's already a 6-3 that says the case the judge relies upon isn't that great and may not even be good law. They said, in effect, "we're not sure about Humphrey's Executor. It might, maybe apply to the Fed, but we're not convinced. We don't like the trend of dressing up every dept. head as "independent" to tie the hands of the Executive. You lower courts need to make a clear and convincing record that the person has absolutely no executive powers--cause we can't think of any who don't." The judge, of course, ignored that, despite the clear intent of that 6-3 ruling. As I said, and SCOTUS will agree (because the absurdity of these rulings will force no other way): There is no room under our Constitutional order for quasi-executive or "independent" agencies. No matter how well-intentioned, expertly staffed, or nonpartisan--the Constitution simply does not permit any part of government to be free from the will of the people. Whether derided as "political/partisan" or praised as "democracy/republic" it's "We the People." Posted by: People's Hippo Voice at July 21, 2025 08:17 AM (uEVfM) 82
Eisenhower did play along with the full court press to discredit Senator McCarthy, there’s no doubt about it. So did quite a few big names in the Senate - Symington, Henry “Scoop” Jackson.
The State Department clearly favored the Communists and shut out the Chinese Nationalists, through Gen. Marshall. Same thing with Tito. They threw American support behind him, versus Mikhailovich - who was anti-Nazi and anti-Communist. McCarthy was being fed all sorts of docs on Communists in government, and the response wasn’t to investigate or fire the Communists, they wanted to know where he was getting the documents, and they turned the whole debacle into an investigation of him! The Truman administration absconded with all the State Department files, and wouldn’t let Congress view them. Executive Privilege, you see. The acrobats in Congress and the Press did a 180 degree turn when Nixon claimed Executive Privilege 20 years later, however. “It’s OK when We Do It” is the narrative. Lots of scandals. None as close to being as big as the attempt to take down a sitting president and thwart the will of the American people. And didn't just happen once, it was an ongoing conspiracy. A little byproduct of that operation was the damage it caused to our relationship with Russia who not coincidentally we have been in a shadow war since Biden purposefully started the war. It's not a coincidence that Russia and Ukraine both featured prominently in the various attempts to take Trump down. I think it goes a lot deeper. Look at what Biden immediately tried to do. Look at how he used COVID to subvert the citizens liberties. Look at how he flooded the country with illegal aliens. Look at how he was deliberately subverting the rule of law and constitution. We should be questioning everything about Obama including foreign policy. The war in Afghanistan, Benghazi, Ukraine, the complete undermining of the justice system. All of it. There’s a lot to unpack here and it wasn’t just a loathing for Trump. It was what Trump would find.

Lots of scandals. None as close to being as big as the attempt to take down a sitting president and thwart the will of the American people. And didn't just happen once, it was an ongoing conspiracy. The US has many megatons of nuclear hell fire at its disposal, so the moral question of incinerating hundreds of millions of innocent people is moot when it comes to whatever the hell the definition of "National Security"† is. Obama has already opened the door to droning American citizens without benefit of Due Process. As long as they are alive, justice is not served and they have the ability to corrupt and destroy evidence that WtP need for closure. † I assume "National Security" is the euphemism for preserving the Deep State juggernaut of power. I don't think it has truly sunk in yet that we now have documented proof that a former US president used the powers of his office to run a color revolution on his own country.
-- It is hard to understate how big this scandal is. We're just seeing the opening evidence: Emails and text between the WH, coordinating to manufacture a crime with Hillary against Trump. Emails and text--proof, documented proof. Not alleged, proof. There's so much more that will come out. And a note for our "nothing will happen" friends: I mean this with all kindness, but you were also the ones most insistent and strident that Trump wouldn't win. Marc Elias, while there during the 2016 coup, was the link between Obama for America, Hillary's campaign, Fusion GPS, Crowdstrike (and probably Google and Facebook, since they were PC clients, too). That's how they hid payments to Fusion GPS and the Steele "dossier's" creator - when facilitated through Elias, they could pay Elias for legal services (which he then used to pay for GPS and Steele's services) and also claim client/attorney privilege about these transactions. Whittaker Chambers’ memoir Witness is outstanding and instructive. Chambers was rumpled and inelegant; Alger Hiss was the opposite… elegant and an Ivy League guy who ran in all the right circles.
Chambers was telling the truth and Hiss was a commie spy. But DC has always cared more about optics so Hiss was loved and Chambers hated. In 2014 Obama/Biden with a hat tip to John McCain and a few others ran a color revolution in Ukraine using the CIA, Soros and a fleet of NGOs. Trump ran on a platform of ending year of bi-partisan failure in foreign policy. The entire DC establishment revolted and called Trump a Russian agent. They failed to take him out. In 2020 they rigged the election and installed Biden. He started the war with poor Ukraine and our new enemy Russia over NATO inclusion. --- The USSR creaked on, killing millions of its own for nearly 3 generations. Just a statistic. In their view, it was the US that caused it to fall. They were on the cusp, the very Communist Event Horizon of having full and total control of the US for the next 30 years--more than enough time to wipe away all the laws and all the people who dare oppose them. I seem to recall that Donna Brazile wrote a book shortly after the 2016, when she had to become the interim head of the DNC during the final months of the election. IIRC she dedicated it to Seth Rich, or included some 'I hope I'm not killed for sharing this' in the intro because she had publicly admitted that the Hillary campaign bailed out the DNC during the primaries, her PAC and/or campaign giving the organization 10's of millions, and in exchange, DWS had made sure the primaries were rigged for Hillary to beat Bernie. There's been discussion online about the blue states' talk of gerrymandering in response to TX and OH doing it this year.
It's revealed two things: 1. The procedural hurdles for blue states to do it is shockingly high. Their commissions that they created to make things "fair" require a lot to override, up to and including CA's requirement that there be a ballot initiative to override it. 2. Those commissions...gerrymandered the fuck out of these blue states in favor of Democrats. To redraw the maps to try and make 5 new Dems in CA (a 43-9 state already) would endanger at least 10 incumbent Dems by making their margins much, much smaller. Democrats have been gerrymandering aggressively for decades. They really don't have anywhere else to go. The GOP...hasn't. A bit here and there, but no where near the level of Democrats. It's one explanation for why the House is so tight right now when it probably shouldn't be. It is about understanding that the same ideologies that fuel the murder of Druze families in Sweida are no different from those that drove the slaughter of Israelis on Oct. 7. While the international community hesitates, while human rights organizations say little, Israel has stepped forward. When others calculate political risks, Israel sees human lives. When others look away, Israel acts.
The same institutions and voices that claim to champion human rights have gone quiet. There have been no emergency UN sessions. No international protests. No outcry. It is a silence that reveals the selective morality of those who only speak when it fits their politics. It is a silence that enables genocide. - John Spencer Posted by: San Franpsycho at July 21, 2025 09:29 AM (JvZF+) 299

308 Gabbard To Release More Obama Russiagate Files, 'Cannot Fathom' How Durham, Mueller Missed Evidence Of 'Years-Long Coup'
There is no rational or logical explanation for why they failed Posted by: SMOD at July 21, 2025 09:33 AM (RHGPo) ======= Well, Durham was limited by DC juries and what Garland would let him release. It's reported that Garland suppressed the report that Durham wrote. He could never be the one man wrecking ball if leadership didn't let him. The Wall Street Journal is facing renewed scrutiny after publishing a story falsely linking President Donald Trump to Jeffrey Epstein through a letter the paper claimed was “lewd” and allegedly sent for Epstein’s 50th birthday. ... The report has been widely denounced as part of a continued pattern of politically motivated attacks, with deeper ties now surfacing between the authors of the story and the figures behind the discredited Russia collusion narrative.
