7 Just saw another film besides Caught Stealing to peak my interest, apparently PTA is directing a dramedy starring DiCaprio, that looks really good.

Seeing as there really hasn't been a genuinly funny comedy in well over a decade.

I've had this idea for a movie that takes place during the COVID era, it's kind of a mashup of It's A Mad Mad Mad World meets convoy meets Smokey and The Bandit, whereby all of these truckers have to race to California to pick up a MacGuffen and get it back to the east coast.

Daniel Day Lewis is in it in a comedic role, his driving partner is a midget, and there's a scene where they get drunk and he has to toss his partner into the truck.

I just want to see DDL tossing a midget.

This is definitely a film PTA would direct.

I wonder if that's who's paying him, and not the Mets. Baseball Reference says the Mets released him from his contract prior to the 2000 season. But that's confusing... how could they release him from the contract? From the team, sure, but the contract originally said they would keep paying him for however long it said.

I worked in an office in Boston of about 50 people that year. 49 of them were Sox fans, I was the Mets fan.

We got the Daily Double going. Mets fans and Rangers fans. I helped pay Gary Carter's salary. And Messier's. And . . .

I had seasons to the Rangers for 20 years. I live 4 subway stops from Shea. I used to ride my 10-speed to Shea when tickets went on sale and get 10-12 games a year. Then my friend got a Sunday plan, so I got those two seats every once in a while, too. Nice seats, 3rd base, mezzanine.

Went to Citifield twice with her. Never again. The prices are outrageous. And it's not a baseball game, it's an event.

I used to love doubleheaders.

In 1997, I had tickets for the second opening day, if you will. The official opening day game was rained out. My game now was an opening day doubleheader. You don't see that too often.

Loved that place as a kid. I remember my uncle and grandparents taking me there and being so jealous of others who were there for their birthday and had the Farrell's staff come out and sing Happy Birthday where the entire restaurant could hear it.
