ZOHRAN MAMDANI PULLED AN ELIZABETH WARREN! Democratic Socialist and NYC mayoral frontrunner Zohran Mamdani just got caught doing what the Left does best: lying about identity for personal gain. In his 2009 Columbia University application, Mamdani — a Ugandan immigrant who wasn’t even a U.S. citizen at the time — checked both “African American” and “Asian” to boost his chances of getting in. Sound familiar? Just like Elizabeth Warren falsely claimed she was Native American to climb the academic and political ladder, Mamdani used race as a tool — not a truth. Mayor Eric Adams nailed it: “The African American identity is not a checkbox of convenience… it’s a lived experience.” This is DEI corruption in action. This is why merit matters. This is why voters are DONE with race games and woke lies. If Mamdani lied to get into college, what do you think he’ll do with real power? #hodgetwins Posted by: rickb223 at July 04, 2025 03:00 PM (SEDrX) Posted by: Don Black at July 04, 2025 03:01 PM (AOsQT) 40

Posted by: Helena Handbasket at July 04, 2025 02:47 PM (ULPxl) Descent AT landing is typically much less than 600 fpm with 600 fpm being the max design limit the structure is designed for without yielding, or 720 fpm without structural failure. But that's well after flair and they come down much faster than that before flair. What's important is the upset design dive speed/mach and that's a function of the design VC/MC. I'm sure the descent was well within the VD/MD and below flutter, mach buffet* margins. LIBs LIE, Because for them it is simply like Breathing.
They Reward the Guilty, they Punish the Innocent, they CHAMPION the mediocre, the Unworthy, the DEPRAVED on the basis of their Depravity. Why? Fundamentally, they hate Good for Being GOOD because it invalidates their existance and experience, that their Value Illicitly obtained somehow retains Value when it is only too clear that it doesn't nor will it ever. Email received from the SS Administration:
The Social Security Administration (SSA) is celebrating the passage of the One Big, Beautiful Bill, a landmark piece of legislation that delivers long-awaited tax relief to millions of older Americans. The bill ensures that nearly 90% of Social Security beneficiaries will no longer pay federal income taxes on their benefits, providing meaningful and immediate relief to seniors who have spent a lifetime contributing to our nation's economy. “This is a historic step forward for America’s seniors,” said Social Security Commissioner Frank Bisignano. “For nearly 90 years, Social Security has been a cornerstone of economic security for older Americans. By significantly reducing the tax burden on benefits, this legislation reaffirms President Trump’s promise to protect Social Security and helps ensure that seniors can better enjoy the retirement they’ve earned." The new law includes a provision that eliminates federal income taxes on Social Security benefits for most beneficiaries, providing relief to individuals and couples. (Continued) Posted by: rickb223 at July 04, 2025 03:21 PM (SEDrX) 76
Additionally, it provides an enhanced deduction for taxpayers aged 65 and older, ensuring that retirees can keep more of what they have earned.
Social Security remains committed to providing timely, accurate information to the public and will continue working closely with federal partners to ensure beneficiaries understand how this legislation may affect them. Posted by: rickb223 at July 04, 2025 03:21 PM (SEDrX) 77

I am a Texan an I prefer Texas BBQ. However, if you put a plate of Q in front of me, whatever the style, I’m going to eat it.

Since it is a doggo thread I have to tell ya'll about our newest dog. Daughter who lives in Boulder, yes, she is one of "them." She got a dog from a rescue and had her for a week before her neighbors started complaining about the dog barking and threatened to have her evicted. We, of course, ended up with the little wonderful dog. She is wonderful and hubby and I have said many times we don't know why God has blessed us with this treasure. From the first minute she came into the house it's like she's always lived here. We have a 4 y/o Shih Tzu and it's like the two of them have always been together. She has brought so much joy into our home. Posted by: four seasons at July 04, 2025 03:30 PM (3ek7K) Posted by: Village Idiot's Apprentice at July 04, 2025 03:30 PM (a1415) 88

Barbecue as created by God was meant to be enjoyed with Kansas City style sauce served over burnt ends, sliced brisket, or pork (not beef) ribs. God doesn't mind that Texans found another good way to enjoy meat, but he frowns on whatever buggery is going on with mustard and white sauces.

14 FLIGHT PANIC: Japan Airlines Boeing 737 Drops 26,000 ft in 10 Minutes.
Passengers on the Shanghai–Tokyo flight sent final messages, wrote wills, and braced for the worst as oxygen masks dropped mid-air. Miraculously, the plane landed safely with all 191 onboard Posted by: Braenyard - some Absent Friends are more equal than others _ at July 04, 2025 02:44 PM (wHp1L) It dropped that much in that amount of time because that's just about the amount of oxygen the mask generators make. Otherwise everyone onboard will pass out and the flight will go all Payne Stewart. Posted by: Jeff Weimer at July 04, 2025 03:35 PM (HZsf9) 91
