4 Sorry, but Pacos and deer are hereditary enemies. They move through my garden like it's the produce section at Food Lion. Fortunately, I have developed a bootleg deer and rabbit repellant that seems to keep them away.

21 My grandma would have her farm hands fill her deer tags for her and then she would bring the meat to us at Thanksgiving. Mostly mule deer but occasionally whitetail.

Didn't really care for the taste but it did make great jerky and burger when mixed with suet.

Me too. Making salmon quiche for dinner tonight. Hubs isn't happy, but he graciously submits to meatless Fridays to please me.

The worst part of it is we're enjoying that most rare of events here in SF: a cloudless, sunny July 4th. The beach is lively with kids and dogs, and a few sunbathers tuck up against the dunes. And I think it will hold for fireworks tonight. (Fingers crossed)

Mine was a sociopath and congenital liar who seemed to suck the life-energy out of her children. When she died, there was less evil in this world - and I say that objectively, which as much Christian charity as I can muster. She pushed my wife to have her father declared incompetent, but then undid the paperwork. As the cancer advanced, her elder daughter flew in from Alaska to organize her estate, and after she left, she undid all the work.

She lived in a small town and her funeral was sparsely attended. Her disabled elder brother was more interested in the KFC than the service.

I think they should do a Pit and the Pendulum thing where the autopen - now honed to razor-sharpness - sits at the end of a conveyor belt, and the various users have to confess before it writes his signature on them.
