Jonathan Turley Predicts That the Supreme Court Will Rebuke Lowly District Courts After a Boston Judge Ignores Their Ruling

As you may know, a Boston judge forbid Trump from deporting illegal aliens to South Sudan. The Supreme Court overruled his order, and said that deportations may resume.

That lowly district hack then gave the finger to the Supreme Court and announced that their ruling doesn't apply to him.

Law prof Jonathan Turley predicts this might be the case that forces Roberts to act to rein in the district court insurrection.

The Trump administration on Tuesday accused US District Judge Brian Murphy of defying the Supreme Court's ruling allowing the White House to deport illegal immigrants to third countries without appropriate due process. The judge had previously ruled that the White House must provide a period of time in which a deportee can challenge the proceedings. The Supreme Court overruled this injunction, but Murphy has kept it in place, arguing that the Court's ruling did not apply specifically to his earlier decision.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in a motion characterized Murphy's refusal to comply with the Supreme Court ruling as a "lawless act of defiance." The agency requested that the high court confirm its order extends to Murphy's injunction.

Jones then asked what progressive opponents of the administration might do in response to the Supreme Court ruling.

"Well, as you know, Lawrence, this is a full-court press among advocates for these individuals and their attorneys. They're trying to find every angle to help their clients," Turley replied. "They're going to many of these favorable jurisdictions and favorable judges, like the one in Boston, and they're issuing these injunctions."

The professor continued, explaining that the Supreme Court might be instrumental in solving what has been a heated debate over the past six months: Whether federal judges should possess the authority to issue nationwide injunctions on the White House's policies. "The court could very well say, 'Enough. We're not going to have individual judges now freezing the entire United States government on critical programs like this.'"

Video at the link.

Bizarrely, the Bulwark's brain trust has decided that Trump must respect the lowest courts, and the Supreme Court must defer to their partisan leftwing inferiors, too. They're actually arguing that lowly district court judges are the ultimate arbiters of legal cases, and the president and even the Supreme Court must defer to them.

Meanwhile, the Vice Mayor of the gang-infested suburb of LA, Cudahy, is calling for gang members to rise up and violently oppose ICE.

Cudahy Vice Mayor Cynthia Gonzalez is facing backlash after she allegedly posted a video on her social media accounts, calling on local gang members to reclaim city streets as immigration operations continue across Los Angeles.

"You guys tag everything up, claiming hood, and now that your hood is being invaded by the biggest gang there is, there ain't a peep out of you. It's everyone else that's not about the gang life and out there protesting and speaking up," Gonzalez says in a portion of the since-deleted video.

Though she didn't explicitly refer to the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement by name, the Department of Homeland Security shared a statement in response.

"The comments made by the Vice Mayor of Cudahy, CA, Cynthia Gonzalez, are despicable," their statement said. "She calls for criminal gangs -- including the vicious 18th Street Gang --to commit violence against our brave ICE law enforcement. This kind of garbage has led to a more than 500 percent increase in assaults against our ICE law enforcement officers."

The city of Cudahy also shared a response to the video, saying that they are aware of Gonzalez's comments and that they do not represent the city's official position.

When the gang-bangers do follow her suggestion and assault or even kill ICE agents -- what charges should be brought against this gangster whore? Remember, they prosecuted Trump for inciting a riot by telling people to "protest peacefully."

Bonus: Biden flooded the country with Iranian illegal aliens. Half of those caught were immediately released into the nation's interior.

Over 1,500 Iranian nationals who illegally entered the U.S. at the southern border were arrested during the Biden administration, and nearly 50% of them were released back into the country, according to a senior U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) source.

More specifically, Border Patrol agents arrested 1,504 Iranian nationals from fiscal year 2021 through fiscal year 2024. Of the 1,504 individuals who were arrested, 729 were released into the U.S.

The number of Iranian nationals arrested at the southern border increased year-to-year, with 48 being arrested in FY21; 197 in FY22; 462 in FY23 and 797 in FY24.

Likewise, the number of Iranian nationals released also increased, with 12 in FY21; 40 in FY22; 229 in FY23; and 448 in FY24.

It is unclear how many of the Iranians released into the U.S. were on the terrorism watchlist, as the Biden administration repeatedly denied Fox News' Freedom of Information Act requests and appeals for the data. The Biden administration cited "privacy concerns" of the people on the list, as well as "minimal public interest" for denying the requests.

Still, there were over 2 million known gotaways at the border during the Biden administration, and because they were never caught, there is no way of knowing where the individuals were from.

Bonus: Think of the poor Iranian illegal aliens who have ignored multiple deportation orders, you Racists!

Rocket science for kindergartners. Convene the industries/sectors one by one. Give them a glide path, and help, to compliance (i.e. no more illegal labor). Offer the illegals help in leaving the US. Minimize disruption to the economy. AND GIVE THEM A DEADLINE, after which raids/deportations/PROSECUTION OF MANAGEMENT. This truly is not difficult.

Turley is the platonic ideal of a certain phenomenon. As an actually smart and honest member of the legal cult, it's a particularly poignant example of someone who can't achieve escape velocity from his guild, in terms of analysis.

Offer the illegals help in leaving the US. Minimize disruption to the economy. AND GIVE THEM A DEADLINE, after which raids/deportations/PROSECUTION OF MANAGEMENT. This truly is not difficult.

The IRS and Social Security have national records of employment, since employers enter their employees' wages. Look for bad matches between DOB SSN and Name, and look for duplicate uses of SSN. Also employees using ITIN to work under.

I quick run through those two databases would suck the employer and employee up, and probably give the address of a good 3/4 of the illegals working under a false SSN

Then you ding the employer for the last 3 years of write-offs for the wages of illegally employed workers. Call it an "adjustment" Be nice, let them pay it off over the next three years.

But this seems like an incredibly stupid case to choose now. There are literally millions of far less superficially sympathetic cases just sitting there, staring DHS in the face (including the W-2 Illegals noted above). Not a matter of principle, but tactics and PR.

Why are millions here despite having long-standing deportation orders? Why are so many criminal illegals on our streets? This is because MayorkasBiden did practically ZERO internal immigration enforcement.* All their ICE and CBP personnel were at the southern border processing daily hordes of illegals in ASAP, as asylum claimants. Accused felons released in blue shithole jurisdictions and anywhere they could make bail were not tracked-down by any Federal LEO for deportation during the Biden National Catastrophe.

*Previous Presidents, including PDT45, did not put high priority on internal immigration enforcement. More than Mayorkas, but there was never a push to run all the immediately deportable illegals out. And here we are. At least PDT47 is now trying hard to get as many as possible out.

120 I'd also note the FL AG is currently under contempt for refusing to parties not before the court to comply with the court's injunction.

The plaintiffs didn't sue the law enforcement officials.

It's a brazen abuse of the court's powers-- but the clown judge thinks she can order the AG to do indirectly what would be plainly illegal for her to order directly.

And it's clear she knows that: Or she would issue an order against the officers directly herself.

121 Laughably predictable.

Roberts has bent over backwards to let his precious 'process' play out to safeguard the 'legitimacy' of the court, and the leftist judges don't think he's being 'measured', or 'non-partisan' or 'showing judicial restraint'

They (accurately) think he's just weak and they can do whatever they want.

Roberts weakness and cowardice has led to the point that leftist judges just openly issue blatantly illegal and unconstitutional rulings and now simply ignore what he says.

Why? Because the leftist hack in a robe knows that the worst that can possibly happen is Roberts makes another ruling telling him to stop. No actual consequences.

123 Judge Roberts is a compromised sack of shit. Everyone seems to forget that he assigned Judge Boasberg (who everyone is familiar with) as well as Judge Tallman (same caliber as Boasberg but from the Ninth Circuit), to the FISA Court. The same FISA court that rubber stamped confidential warrants against a presidential candidate based on false information and, ultimately, altered emails (the attorney who falsified the emails is still practicing law, btw)

Boasberg nominated to the Court by Obama, Tallman nominated to the Court by Clinton....and promoted by Judge Roberts.

After the president was elected on a platform of deporting the invaders his predecessor had illegally brought in we have courts arguing the president has no authority to deal with invaders in the country.

This is about the clearest example of a presidential power there is.

And if instead of deporting them he just had them all summarily executed he'd still be clearly within his power. Hell if he wanted he has a prima facie argument for a military tribunal and execution for the judges enabling the invaders as well.

157 As I mentioned, I thought the 6-3 tranny decision by Roberts was a hell of a brush back pitch.

But, I guess it's going to take a 99 mph heater to the head to send the message:

When we said "we decide the law, not policy and said that the people alone decide policy, we didn't mean get cute and dress your personal policy preferences up in legal fig leafs while telling us to fuck off"

Citing the dissent as precedent is such a breach, I'll bet the ruling will be 9-0.
The only reason a clarifying opinion hasn't came out yet is because of haggling of how big a reprimand is needed.

Neera Tanden, the former Staff Secretary who controlled the Biden autopen. Ms. Tanden testified that she had minimal interaction with President Biden, despite wielding tremendous authority. She explained that to obtain approval for autopen signatures, she would send decision memos to members of the President’s inner circle and had no visibility of what occurred between sending the memo and receiving it back with approval. Her testimony raises serious questions about who was really calling the shots in the Biden White House amid the President’s obvious decline.

243 Alex, I hadn't even heard of the new scandals in that area.

But it all reminds me of questions that any sane person has been asking, for years:

It's highly improbable that the *billions* of illicit $$ generated by the cartels have not found their way into corruption of public officials, at various levels. So what are the dimensions of this phenomenon? What is the FBI doing about it?

There have been claims, AFAIK without compelling specifics, in AZ, about various Dems and cartel $, at high levels. Since the designation of the cartels as foreign terrorist organizations, the entire toolbox of federal surveillance including FISA is now available for this issue. Sure hope Kash and Co. are as active on this as they are silent (often the right combo).

254 I haven't paid attention to loser Orlando Bloom since he was on a paddle board butt nekkid. I felt sorry for the paddle board. No one wants to see that, Orlando!

His clumsy wife's pitiful "show" seconds of video from UK DM was pathetic. Maybe her space jaunt made her uncoordinated. She thundered around in her leotard outfit after swinging in from a rope.

I think she was involved like Gaga with the weird and evil cannibal people Hilary hung out with. The Epstein island crowd. So she may have that brain disease, Kuru. Prions all out of whack.

I doubt many will want Orlando at this point. Maybe Gweneth or MeAgain. I don't recall if he still is in movies. No care!

I laughed at the entire space gig. Especially at Okra's girlfriend screaming she was an astronaut. Good times.

Haha, that's one of the most deceptively named places in California.

Supposedly it's improved in the last 10 years somewhat, but it used to be the home of one of the meanest Hispanic gangs in the area, who were encouraging blacks to move out of town via very persuasive methods. 290 The Supreme Court needs to start issuing public statements along these lines:

"Judge X's ruling in case [x] is so blatantly unconstitutional, so utterly lawless and absurd, so downright stupid, as to demonstrate that s/he cannot continue to sit as a judge. If s/he does not take early retirement immediately, we strongly urge the legislature to impeach and remove Judge X, without a pension, at their earliest convenience." Being able to keep the pension might convince some of them to take the early retirement. It would help if all nine SCOTUS justices signed the statement.

Hmmmm. I wonder if Congress could pass a law allowing the Supreme Court to remove lower-court judges, as long as they vote at least 6-3 (7-2? 8-1? 9-0?) in favor.
