What's a crawfish gut? . . .
Posted by: FenelonSpoke at June 19, 2025 *** It's that slimy yellowish stuff you get all over your fingers when trying to get the tiny flake of edible meat out of the boiled crawfish carcass. If it sounds unappetizing, it's because it is. I hate the very idea of eating outdoors in this climate, and of getting your hands filthy doing it. It's like doing an oil change while eating. Personally I think crawfish boils are merely a socially-sanctioned way for adults to play with their food. My cultural heritage includes a table, silverware, and indoor air conditioning. There's a little rubrik (not the right word, whatever) that I use to keep heads and tails on the right sides of the coin in this whole mess.
Israel clearly has said they don't want to mess with anyone else, and have clearly demonstrated their overwhelming ability to mess with anyone else, meaning they are sincere. Iran has clearly said that they want to mess with everyone else, and have clearly demonstrated for decades their annoying ability to use proxies to mess with everyone else, meaning they are sincere. It's also clearly been demonstrated that in terms of a straight up shooting match, Iran is a gaggle of ignorant, unprepared fools who have always cared more about terrorism than warfare and national defense. Most other things getting bellyached about just wind up being noise and distractions. Posted by: Warai-otoko at June 19, 2025 06:01 AM (BcT2b) 95

Maybe the plan is to get the conversation to be all about Fordow and can they/can't they, giving narrative distraction from the systematic dismantling of everything else around it the old fashioned way. I had a pleasant moment yesterday that harkened back to better days. Three youngsters were running a roadside lemonade stand in the 90 degree heat. Had a homemade sign, the cooler of ice, the pitcher, the whole shebang. Of course I stopped and bought a cup, along with three other folks, all of whom made genuine displays of being thankful for the kids' pluck and drive. It was charming and heartwarming at the same time. Posted by: Krebs v Carnot: Epic Battle of the Cycling Stars (TM) Point&Laugh! Point&Laugh! Point&Laugh! at June 19, 2025 06:43 AM (Tv15w) 169

It’s the one where he asks Cruz what the population of Iran is. Tucker doing his little girl giggle after “You don’t know anything about a country you want to bomb?” (paraphrasing) made him look really silly. He used to pull that giggle out on his Fox show on some lefty saying something stupid. It didn’t work as well on Cruz with a topic this serious, and made Tucker look like a pedantic little twerp, —- The lead singer from Smashmouth, Steven Harwell, died in 2023.
