Japan during cherry blossom season.

Chiropractor gives a giraffe a neck adjustment and she looks like she's in love.

Doggos taking a bath.

Dog actor does a great job and gets his big-time Hollywood salary of one (1) ball.

Jaguar waits in tree and then 1, pounces, and 2, seizes an alligator.

When you're not around, dogs get up to all sorts of nonsense.

What is this odd, adorable little critter? Some kind of weasel?

This squirrel knows it's gonna take a montage to beat the bullies in the big skiing race.

Dog thinks all it takes to get ice cream from the ice cream truck is to queue up in line and today, he's right.

The cutest dog on your block. (Contains Australian accent.)

Cat has the up-and-at-'em work ethic of a postal worker.

I was told that someone likes otters.

Big dog is the cutest little baby.

Big Dan got a bath today. He's going to the vet on Friday (routine annual exam) and to Texas A&M next week for a heart exam.

Poor Danny. He doesn't have the best head, but otherwise he's built like a brick outdoor sanitation facility with both doors open. And for a huge dog he's amazingly light on his feet.

But, although he has his Grand Championship, he told us he didn't want to be a show dog and we respected his wishes.

88 Some cats are unskilled at burying their scat, and paw randomly, futilely in the general area. A few, like my Flash, are veritable civil engineers, who study the situation very carefully, and then complete the job effectively with no more than two efficient gestures.

But at least they all hit the target.

But. ..there is an overlap of migrant jags in South Texas and gators there, so maybe.

Speaking of, I had always heard that the reason mockingbirds and other birds will mob crows and hawks is because they're predators and will steal baby birds out of nests.

We were hiking a trail last week and saw it happen. A crow had a too-big baby mockingbird and was trying to fly off with it but the parents were fighting back hard and the crow dropped it about ten yards later.

Really neat to see.

269 Copilot on pickle juice:

- Neural Reflex Activation: The vinegar in pickle juice triggers a reflex in the mouth and throat that sends signals to the nervous system, stopping muscle cramps almost instantly.
- Electrolyte Boost: It contains high levels of sodium and potassium, which help replenish lost electrolytes.
- Rapid Relief: Studies show that pickle juice can reduce cramp duration by nearly 45% compared to other hydration methods.

I saw some farmer pointing out that the reason we can get rid of every single illegal is because of the separation between what the farmer is paid and what the corporations charge the consumer. I don't recall what he grew but it was something like a 6x to 10x markup in stores.

He was pointing out that if that money was reaching the farmers then they could easily pay Americans good wages.

Well, no, if you borrow money into existence out of the ether, you're not practicing anything that involves "capital".

I think his concern is more along the lines of basic economic function, which requires most of us to be producing something to trade with each other. If you get to the point where everything that's needed is being made by a few, with everyone else doing nothing, there's no trade to happen, and then no reason to make the stuff.

In theory you could have a Star Trek situation, but there's no practical way to get from here to there.

For non-creationists, the great filter might've been the magical jump to life. Or it might be that we're able to overcome our monkey brains and create technology like AI.

Or it might be the AI itself that either takes over and kills us all or just makes everyone lazy, forgetful, and indifferent.

But something, be it tech, disease, or war, is going to cause civilization to stop developing.

NYT has an article on how SS will run out of money in 0233. And they say well it may be even sooner because the projection doesn’t account t for Trump’s economy. Which we all know is bad and millions of people will lose their jobs. Oh and deportations will also cause a shortfall because illegals pay into SS.

Meanwhile as Ace posted earlier we had the highest increase in pay ever so far this year. Which gee I dunno, shows a strong economy.

I ahve always said good things abou IDF , whoud not, they are a very technical , dedicated bunch.

the thin is they are a very high end. force with impressive capabilities but no capacity.

Senior US officials are preparing for the possibility of a strike on #Iran in the coming days, according to people familiar with the matter, a sign that Washington is assembling the infrastructure to directly enter a conflict with Tehran.

Don't like that. The longer they wait the higher the probability it won't happen. Do it tonight and nail those Chinese planes too.

who has even discussed b2s bombing fordow? where would Israel have gotten b2s? we discussed c 130s but not b2s.

what have you been reading?

we have the ability to fly right in an hit fordow wit b2s before Israel did anything.

It is not a question of what we have the abilityt to do it is a question of what Israel has the ability to do.

WTF

Posted by: n at June 18, 2025 09:58 PM (gk2/K)
