Man Convicted of Posing as Flight Attendant to Fly for Free 120 Times

A 35-year-old American man has been found guilty of impersonating a flight attendant at least 120 times in order to avoid having to pay for plane tickets.
Federal prosecutors accused Tirone Alexander of entering the secure area of an airport under false pretenses and committing wire fraud at least 120 times between 2018 and 2024. The 35-year-old man reportedly took advantage of a common airline policy that allows flight attendants and pilots from other airlines to fly for free. Alexander, who allegedly had worked as a flight attendant for regional airlines between 2013 and 2015, would go to various airline websites and check the “flight attendant” option during the online check-in process. The form required applicants to provide their employer, date of hire, and badge number, and Alexander used falsified information that apparently no one bothered to check.

Family Thinks Elderly Couple Is Annoyed By Their Loud Party - Then Came The Tears

doof-restaurant-good-news-story.jpg

What began as a lively family birthday celebration at Mama Mia's in Carver, Massachusetts, turned into a deeply touching display of unexpected kindness, leaving diners in tears and reaffirming the profound impact of simple human connection.

***

Lindsey's family was celebrating her mother's birthday with a party of thirteen, admittedly making quite a bit of joyous noise. Seated beside them was an elderly couple, and initially, Lindsey's group worried they might be a nuisance.

“We thought they were annoyed by us,” Lindsey recalled. But everything changed when they finished singing “Happy Birthday” to her mom. The woman next to them smiled warmly and said, “It’s my husband’s birthday too.”

Without hesitation, Lindsey’s mom lit a candle in a cupcake and the whole group sang again — this time, for the gentleman named Tony. The impromptu celebration continued as they shared cake with Tony and his wife, who expressed immense gratitude for the unexpected gesture.

Then came the words that lingered with everyone: when Lindsey’s mom told Tony, “We’ll meet here next year,” he softly replied, “I don’t think so.” At the time, no one quite understood the weight of those words.

"This means more to us than you know. My husband was just diagnosed with cancer, and he's not doing well."

Look at Youngstown, Detroit...Now look at Beppu and Kobe.

They have buried us and we paid for the whole thing. It's still going on. They pay nothing for our defense of the Gulf.
We are idiots.
No Japanese or Koreans are in harms way. They are just watching.

Clinical Manifestations of Iatrogenic Magnetism in Subjects After Receiving COVID-19 Injectables: Case Report Series

Abstract: A series of cases of COVID-19 vaccine-injected patients suffering from iatrogenic magnetism is described. The attachment of massive metallic objects (up to 70 grams) to different parts of the body is a real phenomenon that may present additional health risks if such patients are subjected to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) [ . . . ]

Conclusions: A strong magnetic field is generated in the human body that has no causal relation to previous COVID-19 vaccination.

544 Eagle Claw taught a lot of hard, costly lessons, to DoD
Rule 1 - do not make it a multi service affair unless forced to. Rule 2 - KISS. Rule 3 - be bold.
You had USAF Spec Ops, you had Delta, Navy CH-53Es, Marine pilots for the CH-53Es, late addition of some Rangers, and CIA and Iranian agents.

Except for the Marines and Delta, no one trained together. And Delta did not trust the Marines.
Posted by: Anna Puma at June 16, 2025 10:04 PM (skGot)

Anna Puma, in many ways results of the May 1975 rescue op for the civilian container ship Mayaguez and crew, captured by Khmer Rouge forces off the coast of Cambodia, was worse than Eagle Claw (when it ended).

The butcher's bill:
US casualties were ten Marines, two Navy corpsmen, and an Air Force crewman killed in the crash of Knife 31 (CH-53); an Air Force crewman killed in the crash of Knife 21 (CH-53); one Marine killed in action on the West Beach; and three Marines missing in action and presumed dead. Fifty were wounded  including thirty-five Marines and six airmen. In addition, eighteen USAF Security Police and five flight crew were killed in the CH-53 crash on the way to U-Tapao to pick-up more Marines.

One thing you could do to stymie ground-penetrating radar is to make your horizontal tunnels deep enough that GPR cannot see them, and then dig a vertical raise close to surface. Might just show as a dot on a GPR map, and not be definitive.

I am still not sure about that, since MOST spoons are actualy stainless, which is not very magnetic at all, depending on the composition.
However a dab of glycerine will make things adhere, as will "oily" skin.
(one of my stupid party tricks was to stick quarters to my forehead, and to pretend to make them magnetic to stick to other people's foreheads, it is hilarious if you are drunk and in your 20's)

Your administration was elected with a mandate to challenge entrenched interests and prioritize America’s interests by avoiding unnecessary wars.

That if we don’t fight for our own country and our own people then we will no longer have a country for our children and our grandchildren.

And foreign wars/intervention/regime change put America last, kill innocent people, are making us broke, and will ultimately lead to our destruction.

That’s not kooky.

That’s what millions of Americans voted for.

In your opinion. Despite the planning, the first night's relatively straightforward movement to the staging location was hamstrung by lack of air asset redundancy, and inability to forecast, recon for, and operate in a common weather phenomenon in the area, a haboob. Not much long and careful planning there. Again, those issues were due to the forces we had available at the time, not what was truly needed. Along with a lack of foresight of possible local weather.

We do have nuclear bunker busters, and I had Grok going on about what they can do. Adjustable yield, 1 - 10 kt TNT. The penetrate a few meters into the ground, and then detonate, with the design to optimize shockwave coupling to the rock.

Properly aimed, one of those could deliver significant shockwaves even 200 m undeground. It would do no direct "blow up" damage, the shockwave would do some real damage.

Consider a big room 200 m under rock. Direct a 10kt shockwave. Air overpressure in that room would hit 10 - 30 atm! That would be enough to kill people right then and there. Also, mess up delicate equipment. Just imagine a "nuclear lab" type setup, and such a pressure shock rips through, and bounces off the walls.

The Marines blew off doing any sand storm training

Also the spare CH-53Es were not added until late in the training for mission redundancy. The CH-53Es were the true Achilles heel as one went down in the haboob. Another was a fail. Third made it to Desert One but with a problem, basically had 72 hours of life in the rotor. So the CH-53E was down checked. The rest made it to Desert One an hour late due to the haboob.

Meanwhile the Rangers had captured a bus full of Iranian citizens and blew up a fuel tanker.

Somehow with pin-prick precision bombing, JAGs needing to sign off on single bomb drops, no artillery, and a "counter-insurgency" approach that was often criminally soft and dumb - we killed MILLIONS!

The claim of three ships on fire in the Gulf of Oman near the Strait of Hormuz on June 17, 2025, lacks official confirmation from maritime authorities like UKMTO. Social media reports and a NASA FIRMS map suggest fires, but no major news outlets have verified the incident. An image shared with the claim shows coordinates (37.0 N 122.0 W) pointing to California, not the Gulf of Oman, raising doubts about its relevance. Given the region's tensions, such reports are plausible but unconfirmed. Without official evidence, the accuracy remains uncertain.

171 Cicero can't tell given the photo but that cat looks similar to a 35-foot Fontaine-Pajot a friend had for years and then tragically sold just when I came back here. Great boat for long-duration trips, roomy and comfortable. Well except when motoring the 800 miles up from Cabo, the "bash". Cats bounce like corks as you know.

He's now got a 42-foot Leopard in the Moorings fleet, down in Grenada. Did a great (cheap) trip with him in the French West Indies last November, hoping we can do Croatia this year or next. Owners get such a discount that unthinkably expensive charters become cheap (assuming bare-boat of course).

However, I refrigerate Ketchup, because I prefer cold Ketchup on fresh, hot French Fries for example. Pickles are another example. I like them cold. But they do not need refrigeration, obviously.

A nice contrast in flavors. I think refrigeration slows oxidation and helps keep the Ketchup flavor popping. But it is not required. Store brand is fine - definitely don’t need to be giving the Heinz family any money voluntarily.

A magnitude 2.5 earthquake was reported earlier in the Qom Province of Northern Iran, close to the Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant (FFEP). There is a sort of common sense strategy for addressing the "W-2" illegal labor problem, it would both achieve results and minimize economic disruption. Friend told me he could get it to someone with excellent top DHS connections. So far have heard nothing.

Of course worksite raids, to alter the pool temperature and focus minds, could help. But one yuuuuge element is missing in that, to date: prosecution of employers. A glaring and disastrous omission.

226 >>I don't understand where the idea that Trump would not use military force if necessary comes from. Absolutely he wants peace but events drive .

Trump has been saying for many years, long before he got into politics, that Iran must never get a nuclear bomb. Anyone with an ounce of common sense has been saying the same thing for obvious reasons.

Iran has been at war with us for decades. They sponsor terrorist proxies that hit us, take hostages and support our enemies like China. Iran is the leading state sponsor of terror in the world and much of it is has been targeted at the country they call The Great Satan. That would be us.

Trump obviously is not part of the neocon war first crowd but he is also not stupid. No sane person believes that if the terrorist in Iran got a nuke they wouldn't use it and once a nuclear war starts the entire world will be involved. This isn't 1945. An nuke today would start WWIII.

I doubt Bibi loves war. I doubt most people who carry want to shoot someone. But people carry because sometimes you don't get a choice. Trump isn't a warmononger or a commenter. I voted for him because I trust his judgement to use force only when he has no choice.

The jury found Greenpeace liable for defamation and other claims related to its role in the 2016–2017 protests. Greenpeace has vowed to appeal, warning that the ruling could bankrupt its U.S. operations and chill free speech.

Unless the device is miniaturized, a difficult process, the Iranians may have no way to deliver a nuke.

And with the loss of many of their their launchers, the Israeli Arrow-3, David's Sling, Iron Dome, Iron Beam and USN SM-6 systems can stop the missile before it gets close.

238 If the Iranians have indeed tested a nuke, their only plan of action is to mount a nuke on a ballistic missile and detonate it over Israel to fry Israeli weapons systems, as well as all the other electrical equipment.

I doubt the US will allow that to happen. Trump will know how to handle it.

Trump will bring peace to the Middle East like he is to the Russia-Ukraine war.

258 Apropos of nothing, I've been going down a bit of a Robotech rabbit hole lately. I was 10 when the series first aired, and it's kind of hitting me that the older woman (Lisa Hayes) that I had a crush on as a kid is now half my age. Or I'm twice hers, whatever.

Any way, I found audio books on youtube and was going to listen to them, but it turns out only two had been done. I had read all of them, including the Sentinels based on the ill fated second season of the series and The End of the Circle, which capped all of it, and was hoping to reexperience it all but it was not to be.

So I found that several youtubers had posted the series, and played those in the background for a couple of weeks. And thought I was done.

But I made one more search and found that, apparently at some point, the original Macross got an English dub, and about five months ago, someone helpfully posted that. Minmay's original songs seem better, though I still prefer the soundtrack from my youth.

That's the range that massive explosions undeground would create. A small 1kt nuke undeground would make over a 4.0 event.

Now, undeground explosions, especially nuclear, have unique signatures that distinguish them from regular earthquakes, at least if they are big enough. An undeground nuke test would be readily apparent to seismic analysis.

The time Trump will lose me is when he cares about installing a better regime anywhere. That's what got us to this place. Believing we had the wisdom to install better regimes everywhere in the world.

The job of a POTUS is to make our government better for the American people. Sometimes that includes taking down foreign regimes that threaten the American people but the days of nation building are hopefully behind us. Trump spent much of his first 6 month on the job telling Iran to make a deal and drop their mesianic bullshit and he would help them. But they will never get a nuke. That's why his first foreign trip was the Middle East. They chose poorly.

ABS sensors are usually wheel speed sensors. One on each wheel. They are basically electromagnets, and not too expensive. But labor to change them might run into several hours, as in some cases removal of the brake rotor is required. If it's just a severed wire to the sensor, you might be able to splice it.

You could try removing the ABS fuse, if there is one. That should yield just one code, "ABS not working". Car should run fine without it. Of course ABS won't work, but it's not working now, is it?

It only takes one side to declare war (Death To America! and taking our Embassy, oh yeah, and the proxies), the other side has two choices: Surrender or fight. Sometimes war is not your call, but someone else's call. After that, you've got those two choices.

308 I think it would be foolish to come this close to overthrowing that Nazi regime, and then negotiate it back to status quo ante-- even if the nukes are gone.

Let Israel kill Khomeini. Then set up a small liberated zone in Kurdish territory, or around a port city. Recognize a new provisional govt. See if enough Persians salute to make it stick. I suspect residual support for Iran's Nazi regime may be hollow-- kind of like Tsarist Russia.

Risky? You betcha. So is 45 more years of the Mullahs.

336 Oil futures are yawning because Iran is already collapsing, meaning this is not going to be a long drawn out war. And I believe that a negotiated end is unlikely, because Iran’s government is incapable of rationally assessing their future: they’re more likely to decide to hide in a hole until the 13th Imam comes to save them or something.

BUT that does not mean the war will last long; the government of the Mullah’s is going to collapse. Plenty of signs it is starting to fragment already. Only thing still holding it together is the IRGC, but they are taking a beating.

No, but those people don’t matter anymore. Just like what the G7 leaders Trump left behind tonight really don’t matter. What matters are our future relationships with the nations in the region - the Gulf States, Egypt, Turkey, a few others. Why them? Because outside of public rhetoric (which is just posturing) they are all going to know through their intelligence whether we did this for Israel, or whether Israel did it themselves.
And realizing through their intelligence services that Israel did this for itself is going to make every one of them sit back and say to themselves “ok, it is just not worth fucking around with the Israelis anymore.”
And that is going to be a huge change from the last 70 years of Mideast history. Gaza will have to be sorted, but Iran’s collapse will break the back of their resistance.

I even remember the FIRST Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.

In an extraordinary feat of valor and skill, an Indian submarine torpedoed & sank a submerged Pakistani sub.

Pakistan said their sub had gone down with all hands due to a catastrophic equipment failure. Because the Indian submarine commander was a Sikh, India went along with that for a little while.

389 >>No, but those people don’t matter anymore.

I think that is over complicating the issue. Trump has been saying for decades that Iran must never get a bomb. Secretly, every country you named and virtually everyone else in the region doesn't want them to have one either. Because the mullahs bug fuck nuts.

Nobody needs an intelligence service to figure Trump out because he comes right out and says what he means. Iran cannot get a nuke. And he isn't fucking around. Some of his tactics might be a bit of a mystery, where he intends to end up is not.

Those were all historical speed bumps that changed nothing. The end of the Iranian regime upends the last 40 years of middle eastern history; the coming (and inevitable) end of the Palestinian situation marks a huge change from the last 70 years of middle eastern history; this truly is a once in a lifetime event.
How will the Palestinian situation be resolved? However Israel wants it to be resolved - they won’t have any more international friends left after this.

Btw if you wonder what we here in America can thank Israel for; I think Israel is going to help us finally get rid of the UN. (Some little rump debating society using the name will persist, of course).

All of the people talking nonsense are going to be so thoroughly discredited that they simply won’t be listened to on anything anymore - and I included most of the American left in that. Rebooting to Mint was a pain, and when it finally did boot, screen resolution is off. Open "display", and Mint thinks it's on a laptop, with no change in resolution permitted.

I have an update running in Terminal. Hope that helps.

410 One of the earliest viral internet stories was an MD regaling his encounter with “Scrotum Self Repair”.

A very sick, fevered individual presented hisself to the ER saying he had a …. problem. The windup was, he worked in a machine shop, and during his lunch break he would (somehow) self gratify hisself on a piece of equipment.

Well it was a belt driven kind of machine, and in his throe of passion one of the the boys got caught in the belt, and he lost that one. “Avulsed” is the term, I think. He tried to staple the wound shut, which did work, after a fashion. But inevitably became infected. It’s still somewhere on the ‘net if you want to read it.

One could argue anywhere they are using rubber bullets, ya might be better off using the real deal. It’s also possible ole shot in the nuts actually had it coming. “There I was, reading my bible on the courthouse steps. And the cops came by and beat the shit out of me!!” Sure, Jan.

It used to take 2 generations or so before history was inverted, invented, and made up (1945 until the ridiculous, and baseless "revisionist" crap about the bomb in 1995). Now we've improved that to one generation. I know some of the people beclowning themselves were 10 years old in the early 2000s when things were actually happening, but many don't have that excuse.

But with that, off to read about Operation Meetinghouse, the big Tokyo fire-bomb raid. Quite an interesting book on it, and LeMay, by James Scott. Recommended (I'm assuming he avoids the always weak and lame post-game moral agonizing schtick afflicting so many WWII types).

426 Well, back on my laptop. Could not fix the screen issue with the desktop. Running the Mint ISO off the thumb drive, resolution is OK. Something wrong with the boot sequence.

I have run dual boot in the desktop before, had Win7 on one HD, and XP on the other, and could explore one disc from the other.

I think I will get a new SSD for the desktop, reinstall the Win7 HD, and install Mint 23 on the new SSD. Then I ought to be able to easily (heh) migrate important files from the old Windows install to the new Mint install.

In the meantime, I will stick with this laptop.

Anyway, it's late, and I need to go to bed. Night, Horde.

Get a external carrier for the HD. At that point it's identical to an external hard drive. You can plug that into the laptop and you're off to the races.
