Not at all. Something that is worthless is irrelevant. It has no value, neither positive or negative. A blackened crumb that falls off your toast is worthless. It isn't something you want, but it also does you no harm. It just sits there. You can leave it on your plate or brush it into the wastebasket or let it fall to the floor and, on balance, your life is exactly the same regardless of which route you choose. There is no value and no harm. It's just a breadcrumb.
If the GOP were merely worthless, it would be much better than it is. But it sadly *isn't* worthless. It does actual harm while lying to the rubes about its ambitions and motivations. If they just sad in their offices eating their salaries and otherwise doing nothing, we'd better off than we are with them doing things.

This brings me to a point I've been pondering a while now: the left needs a reformation. I would argue HAD their reformation, becoming more radicalized and fundamentalist. But the left needs their reformation to cool down and cut out their leftist loons.
The left is a religion on all but name. They have their demented, evil versions of origins, morality, deity, law, blasphemy, sacraments, doctrine, and order of worship. They have to reform so they can purge this influence and get back to their origins of rights, freedom, compassion, care for the poor, and upholding the downtrodden.

Well I wouldn't hire anyone who claimed they were a reporter for a TV show. But these guys who run these stations do, then get into trouble and have to fire or pay huge settlements because of these idiots.
If I ran a news organization I would hire people to do research and crunch info, then have AI compile and set it up with animated personas 24 hours a day in a once per hour Headline News format. It wouldn't even have to make much money and show a profit.

Entirely possible. When the "Speaking With American Men" thing broke a couple of weeks ago, one of the pieces of commentary was from a Dem strategist who didn't like it because she thought that base wanted more unhinged insanity, not less.
And she is probably right. The Dem base is increasingly insane. It's also diminishing, but getting more and more radical. And Karen - who is the heart and soul of the Party - does *not* want a phony "return to the center" or any such nonsense, she wants more molotov cocktails and derangement.
If things go like they have been, Newsom may well be able to make himself the shoe-in for the nomination. He'll lose 40 states, but he'll gallop of the nomination finish line. It comes down to whether any of the spooky bastards at the top have the will to prevent Newsom or someone like him from taking the nomination and leading them to electoral disaster.

The Dem base wants a radical. The *Party* may want to try a fake "return to the center" thing, but the base doesn't. The Dem base is increasingly unhinged. With the old factions fracturing, Party control is anyone's game at the moment. As you said, the Biden faction (which doesn't actually exist because it's really the Kalorama faction) is scrambling. The Clinton faction is dead. The old-school "Union Democrat" blue-collar faction is gone, not even a rump power in the Party anymore.

Videos from the event show masked men in keffiyehs and army fatigues pointing prop guns, while other actors play dead bodies heaped on the floor. When the men playing Hamas terrorists see that everyone is dead, they put their arms around one another and raise their hands in victory. Fake blood is also seen in the video.
The re-enactment, accompanied by music and a voice-over about “From the river to the sea,” was met with whoops, cheers, and applause from the audience.

Coincidentally, I'm doing a re-watch of The Wire. I'm about half way through the 5th season, where the Baltimore Sun is flailing about like a ling cod on a trawler deck due to the money drying up, has about 4 real reporters, and the rest are a bunch of hacks, lead by unethical douchecanoe editors as they chase a Pulitzer based on a lie.

I have no idea who the '28 Democrat nominee will be. It won't be a crazy socialist or hard-core Leftist (BIRM), though. If the Democrat powers-that-be didn't want Bernie in '16 or '20, nor Fauxcahontas or Mayor Buttplug in '20, I doubt the DNC will clear the field for AOC, Newsom, Mayor Buttplug, Harris, or any other communist in '28.
