Our little pup, 18 months old and 6 pounds is adapting wonderfully to her new home and our Shih Tzu. We brought her home Saturday and it's like she has always lived here.

She has never had a yard, always lived at the shelter and apartments and she is crazy about being outdoors.

Cats get stressed very easy. They exhibit hiding and lethargic behavior as a result. She might want to hide under a bed or behind a couch.

Just make sure she knows where the litter box is, food and water and give her time. She'll be fine as long as she starts eating and drinking. Put her stuff near her and give her space to get some nourishment.

Sleeping and resting a lot is about 85% of a cat's existence, as far as I can tell. The other 15%, mine is desperate to get outside, but it seems that yours has been through some trauma and she's probably glad to be home where it's warm and dry and food is available.

I took in a stray cat who had been living feral for a while, turned out she was a rescue who got chased off by the cats already in the home.
I lured her indoors with food and left the door open all summer, and she never left the house.
It turned out she belonged to a house two doors down so I arranged with the lady to keep her and I renamed the cat Chloe.
Chloe didn't take a step outside for a year.

Touch her nose on your cheek to feel if she has a fever, it should be cool.
Put your ear on her side to listen to her breathing for rattles or wheezes.
Check her scat in the litterbox to see if it is firm or diarrhea.
If she is still lo-rez after a week, consider a check up at the vet's.

I taught there. Amazing people.

The kids were amazing. I taught at an after school school. Classes ended at 10pm. And then detention.

I stayed one night to try to help a kid in detention. Left at 11pm.

Very nice buses were there to take kids home. I walked back to my apartment. Kids were all over the place. 11pm. Family Mart - kids were filling up on Ramen. Others were hanging out at a small park.

Not to mention my church I found there...

Very nice buses were there to take kids home. I walked back to my apartment. Kids were all over the place. 11pm. Family Mart - kids were filling up on Ramen. Others were hanging out at a small park.

Not to mention my church I found there...

272 The additional joy of owning a cat:

Cats eat grass to settle their stomachs. Sometimes they puke the grass back up again, and other times they pass through and are pooped out.
Sometimes they don't go all the way and like this evening one of the cats had a piece of grass sticking out of his ass. He was amazingly miffed when I pulled it out the rest of the way.
