About 1/3 of my neighbor's half-acre lot is wooded wetland that abuts my property. I'm over the fence two or three times each year traipsing through the poison ivy to clear out the weeds and creeping vines that try to invade my flower bed.

I feel like an ICE agent raiding illegal immigrants.

The featured painting is not colorful like "The decease of Mirko Mirius" or "Crucified Rooster" but I like it and would consider hanging among rotational art.

I had bought some new dress socks at Costco and they're about a million times better than the old gold-toe socks I got rid of. They actually slide on easily and aren't as tight, so they're much more comfortable. Longer too, thus avoiding the unsightly "inch of skin" problem when sitting down.

We had a big copperhead in our yard a few years ago.

I walked over to it to check out, and for a moment I wondered if I could snatch it up with my hands like the Crocodile Hunter...

Then sanity prevailed and I went to get a hoe, cuz at that time the Late Great Stormy was still with us and being a Kerry Blue she would've be right up in its face immediately.

When I got back it was gone and i couldn't find it.

The copperhead had wisely skedaddled.
