In winter, at high latitudes, you get more dark than sun. Further, the bright moonlight washes out the faint morning twilight.

Still, I seem to remember most setting full moons in a blue sky ?

So for 47N (Montana) on March 14 2025 (full moon):
Moonset 7:52 AM
Sunrise 7:42 AM

Which seems to prove your conjecture. It should be blue if you are an Astronomer.

100 It might be a crime gang in black robes telling us that other crime gangs are free to roam the countryside, or these hideous AWFL wine moms telling us their hideous AWFL lesbo daughters are actually dudes. Or a million other absurdities. Whatever.

Every day, we're being boxed in by the most craven swine Western society has ever vomited up. These people, the foolish, the weak, the greedy and corrupt - they're able to bully and dictate terms to their betters among the vast majority because their greatest weapon against us is our own tolerance.

They should pause to consider that, by boxing us in like this, that tolerance might reach the breaking point. And when that does come to pass, the fey lords and ladies in our capital can feel free to hand down their eloquent edicts commanding us to bend the knee - and find to their horror at that far too late hour that it doesn't work anymore, and that fey lords and ladies are given no more quarter than their precious pharmacological mutants or Mayan street warriors.

It's clear that the hothouse we've built for these flowers of ours has insulated them from consequences for so long that they can't understand that consequences even exist.

That is a gorgeous painting. All those shades of blue speak of the cold and calm. The blending of paints must have taken some work to get the right effect. The silence inherent in the scene is captured so well. It's a small aspect but the two points of light above the moon, stars or planets, is a lovely touch.

This is why I think we need to look at how we got here, and how individual policies that seemed good at the time have had terrible long-term effects.

For a long time, conservatives assumed tax cuts would solve everything and the culture was a tertiary issue, behind the imperative of making money. The conservative think tanks stressed individual freedom of action with as few obligations and restraints as possible.

What did this get us? Broken families, declining birth rates, runaway immigration and a disintegrating society that is incapable of prioritizing its own needs over foreign migrants and the elite class.

Faith was something that got in the way too much, so it was devalued and pushed aside. We're seeing the consequence of that in rampant immorality, will-to-power and outright lying. Rebellion isn't enough - it has to have an objective, a point. Franco wanted to restore traditional Spain. What do we want?

161 About the Comey thing … who uses “86” to describe anything anymore? I haven’t heard it used since I was a little kid, and even then it was considered lame and gay. Heavens to Betsy!

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say former heads of the FBI, who are lame and gay and 8 feet tall use the term.

167 I saw a hilarious piece of an interview with someone from Qatar about the plane that everyone is so hyper about. (It will be buried since it’s so embarrassing to Trump’s critics)
The media guy asked “why are giving this to Trump for free, will you get something back?”
And the Qatari replied “but we offered this to the Biden administration a year ago, everyone in your government has known about it for a year. Why is this an issue now?”
Urk. Silence, end of question. Never mention it again.

Pro-Palestine protester fumes at UCLA for not acknowledging that she is on a hunger strike as she goes 6 days without food.
Talk about a self-own.

It would feel like drinking a big cup of failure as it would fulfill none of the flavor or appearance criteria. Also, Inspector likes to make me my morning drink and he likes to be able to do something with it. Pretty sure he'd revolt at the stark simplicity of just heating water.

179 "...pathetic, broken woman and her sad, pathetic, broken kid."

Yeah, sometimes people are simply swallowed up by crazy. An individual makes up their mind to do what they damn well please, then everyone in their orbit has to decide how to deal, detach, exit, paste on a grin, or try to force sanity to the surface...and good luck with that.

Wet-brain drunk relative rounded up to rehab? Up yours. Intervention organized for a compulsive gambler? Law suit threat. Prevent a willful, yelling teen from taking the brand new family car out in a blizzard? Wrecked car, kid okay. Stop a young man from viewing porn on every computer? Cost him a job. Tell a young woman to quit having babies with assorted boyfriends? Talk to the hand. Remind a politician they were elected to protect US citizens and uphold the Constitution? Get real.

Everybody's got rights, except those who must clean up the messes and pay the tab.
