But-but-but Democrats are so smaaaart, obviously they should be making more money. Why aren't they, then? Well, for one thing, they're not that smart. Also, a lot of them grew up being paid for by their wealthy parents. They lack drive and grit. For another thing, they have certain "disadvantages." I'll allow FBI profiler Will Graham to explain. A new national poll released this week is one of the first to indicate a bump up in President Donald Trump's approval ratings after a steady edging down in the president's numbers since he returned to office in January. Many of you will say "the polls are rigged." Yeah, I mostly feel that way. Still, it's something to see some upward movement even in a poll rigged against Trump.

Blue states have always been vastkly dumber than red states, despite the media narrative staing the opposite. I proved this in my 2004 essay, "Are Bush Voters Really So "Dumb"?":
http://www.zombietime.com/iq_of_2004_voters_by_state/ The upshot: If you looks at the sttats county by county instead of state by state, it is revealed clearly that poor/minority counties in otherwise "red" states are the ones voting blue, but are also the ones with the low average IQ, dragging down the states' averages. Taking this crucial drill-down into account, Dem voters are and always have been on avergae much "dumber.: Posted by: zombie at May 19, 2025 04:38 PM (pMi6S) 26

They play a lot of games by using different levels of analysis. So, for example, laugh at those red voting hicks in the deep south because their states are ranked lower in something or other - but if you instead compare the red and blue voting areas *in* those states the red areas are almost always better. I was on a forum that was supposedly non-political but had a strong leftwing bias. Someone posted a "fat map" based on states and sure enough those red state hicks in the deep south were all fatties. Oh the laughs posters had... Ohio is fairly red with a purplish hue. It could swing back to purple if Columbus continues to boom with imports from around the world (some citizens, some not so much). But even when Rep wins, you end up with center-left squishes like DeWine. Ohio has still not adopted the policies to strengthen the economy and expand freedom. The New Republic: Trump’s Approval Rating Plummets in Just About Every Category. The poll, conducted between May 1 and May 6 with 1,000 adults, showed that 56 percent disapprove of the overall job that Trump is doing as president. Trump is also sitting on multiple net negatives. He is -32 on inflation and -17 on jobs and the economy, policies that were central to the promises he made in his reelection campaign. He is -16 on foreign policy and -15 on education.
Maybe some Republicans in Congress will finally wake up. His agenda is a disaster and they are running out of time before the next election. the only polling group that matters is repubs in congress. they worship the guy. Sadly, would probably still be re-elected. The idiot shouldn't have even 10 percent approval. WTF is wrong with people? And Harry Enten claims his ratings have improved 🙄 On the whole, they have. This is one poll commissioned by the website 'Strength in Numbers'. It doesn't mean it's not accurate or accurate. But Trump's average disapproval has definitely ticked down since reaching a high of 52% on April 28.
