I saw that yesterday (the raw video, not the one on Hot Air). Absolutely amazing. At first, you don't notice much. But it bears repeated viewing. Watch every little corner of the background. The whole landscape move in relation to the foreground. I think I watched it 10m times in a row. Posted by: zombie at May 15, 2025 07:33 PM (pMi6S) 9

And just because you come up with a stupid hot take I am not bound to agree with you. For the last 4 decades all we have done as a country is bombs and war in the Middle East and we got nothing but death and debt. Trump is the first to try a different way, deals. And it is working. The Abraham Accords worked when all the experts said they wouldn't and hopefully the Saudis will join soon. The goal is to unite the ME in prosperity not war and box out China. It's not perpetual war. Iran today is a result of more failed US foreign policy. Isolating them and taking away their money if they don't play nice is a much better strategy than constant war. All of Trump's proposals go through Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Under the proposal on the table, delivered by the Trump administration, Iran can continue to enrich uranium. For civilian applications, you see. With a qualified "international verifications". Sound familiar? It should. ""It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you don’t stop."

Posted by: Its Go Time Donald at May 15, 2025 09:01 PM (GYlcL) Iran is not an easy problem to solve. If it was, Reagan would've done it around 1986 or Bush in 2005 when they were puffing their chests high on the fumes from all of their windfall oil wealth with oil at well over $100 a barrel and going on a nuclear buying spree. I already stated that the correct play is always to attempt a deal before hostilities commence if for no other reason to be able to point to the deal being broken before the first shots are fired. Trump has stated numerous times that Iran can never be allowed to have nuclear weapons. So why don't you allow him the courtesy to see what he can do diplomatically, before you get your wish and we risk a nuclear exchange in the Middle East, with the likely first target being Tel Aviv? Trump’s Achilles heel is his “deals”. He loves the ceremonial aspect of signing. And he knows signing a deal with Iran will be yuuuge and luxurious.
He’s not alone in this. All leaders love that shit. Greatest photo ops possible. But trusting Iran on anything is foolish. We expect Democrats and French and Germans to do this. I had higher hopes for Trump. Posted by: Its Go Time Donald at May 15, 2025 09:14 PM (GYlcL) 214
