AWFL Wisconsin Judge Who Aided and Abetted the Flight of a Fugitive INDICTED on Obstruction of Justice Charges

A federal grand jury indicted Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan on May 13 after a daylong hearing on charges that she tried to assist an undocumented immigrant escape arrest from her courtroom last month.
Dugan, 66, was previously charged with obstructing a U.S. agency and concealing an individual to prevent an arrest. The two charges carry a maximum penalty of six years in prison and a $350,000 fine, but sentences in cases involving nonviolent offenses typically are much shorter.).

She will enter a plea on Thursday.

She is expected to plead "Democrat."

I served on jury duty once with a sitting federal judge and he mentioned that he knew the judge of the case we were assigned to socially. He ended up being the first potential juror that the defense attorney dismissed.

It makes me Hulk angry.

To make it worse I had a Workers Comp claimant who was a partial paraplegic who had reached the indemnity benefits max from WC ( med benefits are lifetime) and was subsequently turned down for SSDI multiple times. This at the same time I knew a perfectly healthy guy who was on SSDI working under the table in a Golf shop and playing golf 3x a week or more at a private club he belonged to.

I've seen it both ways. The Medical benefits suck - they don't make a wounded Vet whole in any way. And we've got way too many wounded Vets in the first place. Its not healthy for a nation to be at constant low-grade war.

But I've also seen many Vets - especially in public service - that believe they're owed lifetime employment. A true entitlement mentality, when they're perfectly capable of finding private employment. But that private job won't give them the status - as in a few pay grades - that staying on the public dole does.
