I tried the Signature, a 6 X 46 figurado (pointy at both ends), which sports a handsome Cameroon wrapper. Binder and filler both from the Dominican Republic, where it is rolled. Smoke was ample, draw was easy, burn line required some management to keep straight (I tend to manage the line when trying a stick for the first time, as wrapper plays a big part in overall profile). For me things started off with wood notes, a subtle sweetness, and a tangy finish. By mid-stick, wood and leather dominated, with the sweet note making intermittent appearances. Again, no range report due to lack of barrel for the '06. However, I have spent the time constructively by reading a couple of books on reading wind, that being something I'm woefully deficient at. I now have a plan and will put it into practice by the end of next week.
Mainly because if the barrel doesn't arrive soon, I will be forced to purchase a rifle suitable for competition, due to some upcoming commitments I need to get ready for. Posted by: blake - semi lurker in marginal standing (tT6L1) at May 11, 2025 07:10 PM (tT6L1) 17

This is on top of wearing it on a neck lanyard. I don't get there enough to get challanged but I think the rule is to keep everyone humble and take some ownership. It's a private club and their induction seminare they'll tell some anecdotes. One being that they have only expelled one member ever - fellow member said, "Hey, standing over here it seems those home loads are a bit hot, maybe you should put them aside...". Nope... So what do you all think? When is it a good idea to check your ego and attitude? ========= Always good to stow your ego whether working on equipment, using power tools, or shooting. FWIW, when I got to actively shoot, I always went on days and times when few people are about. Never had any problems with RSOs ever. The public DNR ranges around here have a real problem as there are not monitored nor have any range safety officers. Common for people to be down range retrieving their targets and newcomers start shooting downrange. The indoor ranges often have people imagining they are in a those idiotic mag dump movies or they emulate the gangsta image by shooting sideways and other ignorant things. I leave promptly when the dumb and sloppy show up. I cordially hate them as that is often why we cannot have nice things at the indoor range like drawing from holsters or patterning shotguns. I know this is OT, but I got willowed in the last thread and don’t want to waste all the typing, and maybe it will lighten the mood as well:
225 Sounds like the restaurant that claimed it could supply a steak of any animal. Customer comes in and wants an elephant steak. The maitre d’ comes over and explains that they only have one elephant, and would rather not slaughter him for just one customer. He suggests the customer try gnu instead. “Ok,” says the customer, “I’ll try that!”. So the waiter takes his order back to the kitchen, and a time later comes back with a succulent steak, cooked to perfection. The customer sets to eating with gusto, and enjoys it immensely. When he is finished, he calls the maitre d’ over and says “That was great, I thoroughly enjoyed it, but come on, admit it: that wasn’t gnu, was it?” “Well,” said the maitre d’, “you have to admit, it was just as good as gnu!” Posted by: NemoMeImpuneLacessit at May 11, 2025 07:25 PM (cK4Fj) 38

My last call about two years ago for jury duty was humorous. Case involved compensation for eminent domain and the city attorney knew my background and promptly had me explain what I taught and any experiences with the law, accounting, business practices, etc. He did it all so that the plaintiff's attorney had to burn an juror strike on me. Pretty sure I wouldn’t want that shooter at my range, and would never have that RSO on my crew. WTF? About both of them.
So far never really had a problem shooter. Worst experience yet was another (off duty) RSO who had brought people as students to teach (handgun). Unbelievable attitude and manner. Of course his day was noted, so as to avoid. My crew are all easygoing guys, no need really to tell them “customer is always right” when it comes to courtesy and being friendly - of course safety and range rules set the limits. We lost one of our key guys not long ago, but we still offer not just friendly service but help on sighting in optics, clearing jams, and even small repairs on occasion. Last month had a Russian-speaking Romanian immigrant family in, they helped translating basic range commands, I stayed late so they could finish their intended course of fir, and they all became members. I had a bad experience at an Ohio state-supported outdoor range: I was intending to get an initial zero on a new rifle scope on an AR-15. I was set up with a target at 25 yards, had a bench rest and sand bags.
Some dude claiming to be a range office then storms up with a bad attitude saying, "This is a pistol range!!!!" (We're outdoors and the range is not marked that way). I point to the set up, tell him that I'm sighting in a new scope, and ask, "Does it look like I don't know what I'm doing?" This dude then yells, "Five rounds only!" and stomps off. Rather than have anymore problems with this a$$hole, I packed up and left. I'd been there before, but had never seen a range officer previously. I understand that an RSO can deal with idiots and careless people, but this dude definitely had a chip on his shoulder. But all it takes to escalate is one guy intent on getting his way and other guy(s) feeling they will lose face if he does. I have seen a few RSO that have the respect muh authoritah! attitude. PewPew tactical website has regular updates as the tech is moving really fast. ======= I can answer some basic questions but others here have much more practical experience with them than I. But, make sure your rimfire silencers are serviceable by the user as they get dirty quick, center fire pistol suppressors are in the middle on the dirty scale, and rifle suppressors are mostly like gas tubes on ARs--self cleaning if you avoid using cast bullets or really low power dirty loads. The other is get a calibrated rod for your combo of suppressor and barrel. Off center installs or improper reassembly can result in baffle strikes which is not a good thing. The public defender pointed out that horse thievery was still a capital offense punishable only by hanging in SD under Dakota Territory laws from the 1870s. But as a public defender, he hadn't been notified that he had to try a capital case that day. The prosecutor was embarrassed, but didn't want to stipulate to a lengthy delay to allow the public defender to prepare for a capital case. The public defender then suggested dropping the two counts of horse thievery and substituting two charges of grand theft instead. The prosecutor agreed. Instantly, the public defender changed his client's plea to guilty. Judge banged the gavel. Case closed.

Does anybody have experience with Silencer Central? They seem to have the process made simple. What about their "Banish" line of suppressors? Any good?
Posted by: That SOB Van Owen FIL used them with no problems. E entry wait times are a LOT less than they used to be. But, FIL was too stingy and in a hurry to do a firearm trust and as a result, it has been a nightmare since he died to deal with. BIL wants the suppressors but hasn't done his due diligence to get the transfer done. So they are in a locked safe sitting until he does what he needs to do. Wife is about ready to call the cops to the house for them to legally take custody of them as even touching them as heirs is in a very bad gray legal area. Do it right, create a firearm trust on those couple of suppressors, if not the rest of the firearms, so you can easily transfer them to heirs for sale or retention. You have to pay another $200 buck transfer fee stamp and go through the paperwork again otherwise to transfer them to a firearm's trust later. Posted by: whig at May 11, 2025 07:53 PM (ctrM5) 78
Women often benefit far more than men from those classes. Women are more teachable in most cases while quite a few guys let their ego get involved. But, I also advise that husbands should let others teach their wives with rare exceptions.

EdL, great story!
Last time I was called I was called upstairs (damn) and seated in the initial 12 (double damn). When judge asked about previous trial experiences a humorous remark led to the judge and both sets of lawyers grilling me about a big int’l case in which I was involved. The rest of the pool looked on with curiosity, and after 5 minutes of this decidedly off-topic discussion, judge says “fascinating, juror 9, thanks for sharing that - you’re dismissed!”. Gun Question ... I run a Ruger 1911. It operates flawlessly - no misfires in over 1,000 rounds.
BUT ... whenever I drop the mag and clear the chamber ... it "crimps" the unspent round. Compresses the projectile back into the casing. Anyone else have this happen ? Should I send it in ? Posted by: Fast Eddie Felson at May 11, 2025 07:59 PM (/4KOd) 83
Oddbob, what are you planning to suppress? I suggest starting w/ pistols or pistol caliber carbines. My recommendation would be the MP5 clone as the platform because the H&K tri-lug muzzle adapter gives you one of the best positive locks that won't "walk" off the barrel under heavy shooting. The big disadvantage of threaded barrels is the that a suppressor will slowly come off and loosen from its position as more and more shots get fired through it. The H&K tri-lug on the MP5 platform doesn't have that problem. Also, the difference a suppressor makes is much more evident w/ pistol rounds than rifle rounds (w/ some exceptions). Using subsonic ammo, you might even be able to ditch ear protection when using a suppressor outdoors.

The time I got seated before the last jury summons, was a Respect Muh Authoritah! pissing match between the police and a defendant. Real Keystone cops behavior. And humorously enough, the only key question that the prosecutor and defense attorney wanted to know was familiarity with a certain area. That is because the area was known for drug sales. Anyway the cop was following some suspects, the driver pulled into a driveway and all the other occupants fled. The driver, however, went and sat down in a garden chair on the front porch. Then you have the cop screaming at the defendant (which turned out to be his parent's house--so they came out), more popo came to the cop's assistance, the crowd around grew to watch the show as these cops could not pull the guy out of the steel lawn chair he was sitting in and he refused to get out of the chair. The cops involved were big guys--over six feet and husky. The defendant was 6 ft 8 or 9 and mebbe 350 lbs of muscle. Ed Too Tall Jones comes to mind. So the case was obstruction and for disorderly. We convicted on the second and not guilty on the first. A two year sentence was too much for the obstruction charge. Posted by: whig at May 11, 2025 08:02 PM (ctrM5) 89

Can we talk about suppressors for a bit? With the chance -- I’m not ready to say likelihood -- of getting them removed from the NFA, I’ve started to get a little can-curious and I got a few questions.
Posted by: Oddbob I like the 'oil filter bushing' concept if they had one that was legit - i.e. the bushing would the serial numbered part analogous to the AR lower or trigger group that several handguns have now. But with a better machine thread instead of the oil filter thead. This way one could have multiple much cheaper cans for various rifles and just one (maybe three max) licensed bushings to play with. Cans could become more disposable and cheaper than making them out of titanium. Posted by: Itinerant Alley Butcher at May 11, 2025 08:07 PM (/lPRQ) 105
That was exactly one of the questions I had. Thanks.
Posted by: Oddbob = NFA laws are poorly written enough and the ATF, etc. have proved themselves to be lawless enough, I urge anyone messing around with NFA items or buying and selling firearms as a quasi business to really read and understand not just the laws but also the underlying statutes. Relying on gun mag and forum understanding of firearm laws is a sure way to become a martyr of the legal system. In firearm unfriendly states, it is probably wise to identify firearm friendly lawyers in your area if you plan to buy and sell even as a collector or you are dealing with NFA items. Then pay them an official legal visit for advice Because you usually have obnoxious state and even local ordnances that can snare the unwitting. There are some online lists of lawyers that do firearm trusts, etc. and estate planning for firearm collections. It can be a real nightmare often for heirs to do the right thing legally when they inherit such items. Sometimes, there are even unpleasant surprises like unregistered machine guns, explosive ordnance, etc. in the hands of a parent that have to be disposed off. Lawyers help do that. I have never had the chutzpah to mention jury nullification when summoned to jury duty: because I believe in it. The point of a jury is not to merely judge facts, but originally, and primarily, to keep the judge in HIS lane. There was jury nullification of early unjust laws in New York Colony, before the revolution. Had the Tories wanting to throw out jury trials, eventually it lead to 1776. But if you say you believe in it, you’ll never get seated. Don’t say it, just say you aren’t convinced of the facts. Of course I am reliably told that if you want out of a jury, that mentioning that the gold braid on the US flag means it’s not a _real_ US flag will get you excused immediately (am NOT a sovereign citizen type - by no means!).

Since we're also talking about funny/odd trial experiences, I was subpoenaed as an Expert Witness as part of a civil trial. The plaintiff was suing for personal injuries suffered in a crash.
I was a Traffic Crash Reconstructionist back then, and the whole issue revolved Perception-Reaction Time: the defense was that there was insufficient time to avoid the crash. The defense attorney kept beating me like a drum for over an hour, attacking my expertise. When the defense attorney asked if I was aware that the standard Perception-Reaction Time in crash investigations was 2.75 seconds. I told her, "Yes, but that's due to a misunderstanding of Dr. Olson's data that included the 99th percentile. If you read his more recent research, he stated that a more reasonable PRT is 0.75 to 1.0 sec for stressful situations." The defense attorney then said something like, "Oh, you're the expert." Needless to say, the plaintiff won. LOL. Posted by: Retired Buckeye Cop is now an engineer at May 11, 2025 08:14 PM (pJWtt) 113
Isn't the 2nd Amendment great?
Posted by: Unknown Drip Under Pressure I blame the brother in law. He never made the effort to comply with the law by filling out the paperwork necessary to transfer and regardless of how I or anyone else feels about it--ignoring the law has some very nasty potential consequences. And the whole thing could have been avoided had not FIL been so damn anxious to get his pew pew suppressors. It is much easier to set up the trust while purchasing it and simply requires fingerprints and paperwork to do so up front. All then that would have needed to be done was tell the ATF that one of the trustees was now dead and needed to be removed. I think suppressors are just like mufflers on cars or mowers and should not be regulated but far too many people nowadays get their idiotic notions of firearms from watching stupid movies of shoot em up. And so they believe a 300 Win Mag generates the sound signature of a mouse fart when suppressed. And that people fly backwards into windows, etc. when shot. The whole fake tropes relied upon for idiot movies spoils the fun out of watching them for me. Posted by: whig at May 11, 2025 08:15 PM (ctrM5) 114

I will never be seated on a jury. I did grand jury duty once, but that was it. In my small county we met once a month to handle cases.
Last time was for a shooting in the nearest town, I think the charge was attempted murder. The prosecutor asked if any of us would have a problem with the State withholding evidence. I said I would and put together a lengthy rebuttal on the fly. I thought to myself, “I won’t be on this jury.” The very next juror said “yeah, what he said”. I thought to myself “I am definitely not on the jury and the prosecutor, defense AND the judge might have me escorted out.” Well, the latter did not happen but I was not seated on the jury. It’s not my mission to avoid jury duty, far from it…but I just am of the mind I’ll never be picked. I wasn’t picked even when I threw my name in the hat for court-martial juries. Posted by: Oddbob at May 11, 2025 08:07 PM (/y8xj) If you want to suppress rifles, I recommend at least considering B&T for your 5.56 and .308 platforms. B&T is known for their suppressors - they make more different types of suppressors than most. They've recently introduced 3-D printed suppressors made of titanium as a way to provide maximum heat resistance, lower cost, and minimal weight at the same time. If you want to move your suppressor around between platforms, I recommend going w/ .308. A .308 can will fit on the other calibers you mentioned. However, in order to get maximum performance (i.e. sound suppression) out of a can, you should use a can matched to the caliber of the weapon you're using. A .308 can on a 5.56 rifle will work, but it won't work as well as a 5.56 can on a 5.56 rifle.
Posted by: whig Wouldn't be surprised if the restrictions on suppressors had more to do with poaching* than gansters lighting each other in total silence. *Not that I know any poachers, but if I did they would probably be using .22 mag in lieu of the 30-30 they use during hunting season. Last few times SEALs came to the range on my day (and ended up joining) they called first and among their questions was whether they could bring their “work” guns.
To which the answer was “the more forbidden and exotic the better, yes!”. Last month the guy let me shoot his SP-10, was very nice. He said they didn’t have the cans for them yet and I encouraged him to bring one when they did. Posted by: rhomboid at May 11, 2025 08:27 PM (1m82a) 141
111 I have never had the chutzpah to mention jury nullification when summoned to jury duty: because I believe in it.
Posted by: NemoMeImpuneLacessit at May 11, 2025 08:12 PM (cK4Fj) I took classes with a prof who told the class he went to voir dire many times but was never seated on a jury. The lawyers asked him what he did for a living and he told the truth: “I am a professor of history and my specialty is Constitutional law.” “I don’t know why I never get picked!” We the students laughed. Gun Question ... I run a Ruger 1911. It operates flawlessly - no misfires in over 1,000 rounds.
BUT ... whenever I drop the mag and clear the chamber ... it "crimps" the unspent round. Compresses the projectile back into the casing. It's not unheard of for bullets to get shifted around a little with repeated loadings but to be displaced noticeably on just one load/unload definitely seems not normal to me. Tell us more about the ammo. Can you feel extra resistance on the slide when unloading compared to racking it empty? Posted by: Oddbob at May 11, 2025 08:28 PM (/y8xj) 143

I know one moa ain't that bad, and could be lived with, but thought I'd ask if anyone has a suggestion. I'm trying to make it shoot it the 80 to 90 grain bullet range. Considering selling or trading for a Tikka.
Posted by: irright ------- Rugers use cold hammer forged barrels around a mandrel if I recall right. I would do a break in procedure using cheap blaster grade fmj ammo (or roll your own) and shoot about 50-100 rounds through it. Cheaper than a new firearm but doing that along with the breakin cleaning regimen can help std. production barrels shoot better. The other thing is check your stock fit and barrel channel fit. I am pretty sure that the American is free floated barrel and so a dollar bill should be able to be slid between the barrel and stock back to the receiver. The other is to check your torque on the receiver screws on the bottom. Make sure they are torqued to the right factory torque setting. If using glass, then make sure that it is mounted and zeroed correctly. Then there is the shooter component. If you know someone who is a good shot, have them shoot the rifle and make darn sure that you have a stable rest with bags and shooting table. Posted by: whig at May 11, 2025 08:29 PM (ctrM5) 146

Posted by: Itinerant Alley Butcher That was partly to blame in the NFA drafting in the 30's as game animals darn near got depleted down the small mammals like squirrels or rabbits. Not really a factor anymore as a lot of states now allow suppressors for hunting use as they should. Haven't seen problems with poachers reported and part of that is because poachers are lazy ass people that would never spend the $200 bucks and might not pass the enhanced screening for NFA items in the first place. Same reason that thugs in the ghetto prefer the Glock switch to make their pistols full auto to homebuilt cans. Lawbreakers are by and large lazy assholes that simply ignore all laws. The slide is "stiff" - but can't tell any difference between dry-cycling and chambering or ejecting a round. Current lot of ammo is Sellier and Bellot - but I've seen the same thing when running Remington and Winchester. The thing is - the gun runs perfectly ... other than ejecting an unspent round. It's arguable that the Thompson SMG became the iconic firearm it was in the 1930s (and still is today) because of pop culture and the effective banning of it by the 1934 NFA. Even before WWII, the Thompson's silhouette was instantly recognizable by anyone who'd seen movies like "Scarface" or "Public Enemy." Posted by: Ed L at May 11, 2025 08:45 PM (AiJK3) 169

I was going to try bringing a rifle to shoot (there should be nice outdoor ranges in Idaho, at least, right?), but every single one of my rifles, except the .303, is now banned in WA state. If it is deep-seating every unspent round, you may have a shorter than normal leade - the distance from the end of the chamber to the beginning of the rifling. The result is that every round gets pushed deep into the rifling when chambering, thereby pushing every round deeper into the case.
You don’t know it’s an issue when the round is fired (unless you’re getting higher pressure and faster MV - try chronoing some rounds and see if they are faster than advertised). Posted by: RI Red at May 11, 2025 08:46 PM (9qDFL) 171
As I sometimes do, I looked up this week's movie on IMDb:
Invasion U.S.A. A one-man army comes to the rescue when the United States are invaded by communists, starring Chuck Norris. Wow! That sounds exciting! Also gun-thread appropriate. Oh, no, wait, that's the 1985 movie. Here's the 1952 one linked above: A group of people at a bar witness the unfolding events of a Soviet invasion of the USA. "It will scare the pants off you," reviews Hedda Hopper. Well, that sounds… a bit lower-budget. Starring Gerald Mohr. Who? A nifty tool for adjusting dovetailed iron sights is the Wyoming Sight Drifter. It is a sort of spring loaded slidehammer gadget, that does what the traditional hammer and brass punch does, but is a lot handier to use.
It is about the size of a big fountain pen. To use, press the end of the tool against the sight, pull the other end of the tool back, and release. It gives the sight a sharp little whack, and hopefully moves it a bit. I just got one, and I love it. Multiple models are available, with the basic model starting at $35 dollars. www.wyomingsightdrifter.com Posted by: Idaho Spudboy at May 11, 2025 08:46 PM (RWJYA) 173

"No wobbly shit!"
/Weasel Posted by: GWB Pretty much. I guess I should have added that CHF barrels along with their competitors-button rifling, etc. often have some jagged edges on the lands initially from the barrel making process that can slightly damage bullets. Firing cheap blaster ammo essentially wears those down along with the cleaning regimen. Wide Tolerance bands also come into play as cheaper barrel makers discard the mandrels, buttons, (tooling), from barrel making only when their generous tolerance limit is hit. Quality barrel makers discard them earlier and have a tighter tolerance band for barrels shipped. Simply shooting cheap barrels with range blaster fmj from 50-100 rounds often breaks them so a cheap barrel can shoot better and perhaps foul less. Worn tooling can often produce rough barrels right off the assembly line and this can help if the other issues were addressed. Posted by: whig at May 11, 2025 08:47 PM (ctrM5) 175

Cheers to you, brother! You will be missed! Posted by: Doof at May 11, 2025 09:00 PM Gettin' a little dusty in here, again. Thanks for sharing that, amigo. Posted by: Notorious BFD at May 11, 2025 09:16 PM (mH6SG) 206
DBCooper, thanks. Reminds me of last November, was on a boat in the Leeward Islands, had picked up some Perdomos from their HQ in Miami on the way. Couldn't find a torch lighter in the islands. Soft-flame lighter, famously constant trade winds, just about burned my thumbs off. But with all that, the Bourbon Barrel Aged Sungrown was so good, ordered a bunch more. Next time, torch lighter gets smuggled along.

Yes, thanks Weasel for your words about Jim. Such a damn shame someone like that goes so early.

I'd toast Jim with a whisky had I not quit drinking Jan 1, 2025. Though I have 4 bottles sitting 6 feet away, Can't do it. Maybe this October at Corsicana at the formal Viking ceremony.

I've really enjoyed (with an edge of sadness) all the stories and testimonies folks have had about Jim SND.
Still kinda in some degree of denial, he was taken so fast. Posted by: mindful webworker - anchors aweigh at May 11, 2025 09:35 PM (b/vRQ) 218

Hello morons, special hello to the morons who came to the WA MoMe. It was good seeing y'all.

No shooting this week, due to the MoME. I did finally win one of those gunbroker auctions for a G26 slide. The aftermarket slide I already had is trash so I have hopes that an OEM Glock slide will be good.
I've switched over to the G30 for EDC lately, just ordered a new IWB holster for it. We'll see how it goes. Posted by: Mark Andrew Edwards, Buy ammo at May 11, 2025 09:42 PM (xcxpd) 222
Thanks Weasel, will check out Zorro.
I actually am on my third Jetline Phantom - great torch lighters (single flame). First two just had problems, stopped working (first one was odd, everything seemed to work, but, she's a no worka). Both worked for a year or more. They just sent me a third (now I have a collection of malfunctioning lighters). Lifetime guarantee. Jetline has a deservedly great reputation, their lighters are nice, so maybe I'm just a lemon-magnet when it comes to these things. My first torch lighter (bought in 2005) worked for a decade+ (in fact, might go put some butane in and try it, probably still works). They're essential for cigars, but I also like them as emergency flame sources for The Big One (earthquake), civil disorder, zombie apocalypse, or the like. 192 EdL, didn't know until recently that production of the military Thompson was scaled back in favor of the M3 grease gun as it became available. Obviously great savings in terms of cost, and probably production times. Though I don't think it was generally carried/used as much as the Thompson by infantry.
Posted by: rhomboid at May 11, 2025 08:57 PM (1m82a) The M3 was primarily a mechanic and driver gun. I was issued one in Germany before they phased them out. Range day was fun. You "familiarize" with it. Which is showing you can control the bursts. Sad to see it go because my rank then gave me an M203 to have to hump around. I hated that heavy POS. My unit still had a grease gun in the early 90s.

---- The Zorros are made in China but they are robust and extremely well made. Inserts are either gas or fluid. They have O rings and are really nicely done. I have one in titanium and another in brass. Posted by: Weasel at May 11, 2025 09:55 PM (13bqY) 226
Just saw that "Invasion USA (1952)" features both Phyllis Coates and Noel Neill.
Coates was Lois Lane in the 1951 Mole Men Superman movie, and the first 24 episodes of the George Reeves TV show. Also appeared as "Ellen Lane" in one episode of Lois & Clark, 1994. Neill played Lois Lane in the 1948 Superman with Kirk Alyn. She took over the Lois role in the 1950s show's 2nd season. She had an uncredited cameo in the first Chris Reeve movie, and was in one episode of 1991 Superboy. Might actually watch this movie. Might. Love the M3 stories. Yes, mostly for support troops, artillery, tankers (?), not infantry. Somehow do I recall correctly that the movie Hacksaw Ridge had Desmond Doss's CO using an M3? Seemed odd.

Also have a Lotus lighters, beautiful big desktop type, classic zippo-type design. First one also didn't work. This one *sort of* works. WTF, over?

My grease gun left in November of 90. I only shot it twice. Once at our local range and once in Graf.
My buddies unit in Korea had theirs taken away at the same time. I always assumed with the way the army does stuff that was when they went into mothball. Could be wrong but I'd bet they were all gone before 91. I never saw one again that's for sure. Posted by: Reforger at May 11, 2025 10:07 PM (xcIvR) 231
One thing I never understood on the M3 was there were already a gazillion nice 30rd Thompson mags in use/inventory and instead of having it use Thompson mags they made a weird mag that needed a loader. I could load 4 Thompson mags in the time it took to load a grease gun mag. The M3's were quite accurate too. Amazingly.
