Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Morning Report — 5/ 6 /25![]() Last week, it emerged that the left is trying to tar Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) as mentally unhinged because he supports Israel in its existential war for survival against the genocidal forces of Hamas and Iran. The tactic of claiming that mainstream political views with which you disagree constitute mental illness is a classic Stalin-esque tactic. In Soviet Russia, dissidents were diagnosed as clinically insane and stuck in “asylums” that were actually prisons, where they were subject to a variety of tortures in the name of regaining their “mental health.” It turns out that this approach is not limited to a class of political insiders and journalists trying to silence one of Israel’s most principled and stalwart defenders in Washington, D.C. Instead, the entire psychotherapy profession has determined that supporting Zionism—that is, supporting the idea that Jews have a right to a nation in a land that they’ve occupied without interruption for almost 4,000 years—is a sign of psychopathic mental illness. These are the same kind of doctors who insist that a child who is born male but feels he is a girl has a right to chop off his genitals and declare himself to be female and is in fact female. And for anyone to oppose this is not only denying one of their human rights but is also in fact a dangerous lunatic. Ditto global warming/climate change. Ditto denying the concept of "toxic masculinity" and institutional white supremacy, and on and on and on. Now when one part of the national polity views the other as not merely wrong or as a legitimate rival but as an existential threat to their existence and an evil that must be eradicated, we are this close to Soviet style psychiatric wards, if not gulags or worse, the gas chambers and crematoria of Nazi Germany. And just like the latter, we are this close to having a Judiciary that will either act on its own or uphold illegal executive orders by some future Democrat President (God-forbid ever again) or anti-constitutional laws to do away with any and all political opposition. Look what was done to hundreds of ordinary citizens in the wake of protesting the stolen 2020 election under the pretext of a phony Malig-Nancy Pelosi/FBI staged "insurrection." And speaking of insurrection: It’s time to call this what it is. California’s efforts to ban cooperation with federal law enforcement first crossed the line into insurrection. Since then other states, including now Colorado, have followed suit. The Colorado House has passed a measure aimed at protecting the rights of immigrants in the state, despite efforts by the Trump administration to crack down on illegal immigration. The House debated Senate Bill 276 for nearly four hours before approving it 42-21 along party lines. The measure prohibits local and state law enforcement officers from allowing federal immigration agents to enter parts of immigrant detention centers that are off limits to the public…The bill also prohibits another state’s National Guard from entering the state as part of any enforcement action without permission from Colorado’s governor, and prevents federal immigration agents from going into schools, health care and child care facilities, churches, libraries and jails without warrants. The only people this protects are illegal alien invaders. And states do not have the right or power to deny access to federal law enforcement officials simply because some politicians support certain illegal acts. If a state voted to ban any cooperation with the IRS in enforcing tax laws or the FBI when prosecuting abortion opponents, the hysteria would be off the charts and federal judges would quickly determine that such actions are invalid.Perhaps Colorodo needs to have its statehood revoked and turned into a federal territory, with its legislature dissolved and a territorial governor appointed by Trump to run it. Send in the Army to put down anyone who resists. How many divisions does Jared Polis have? Considering this item, perhaps it goes beyond insurrection into participating with a foreign power in an act of war, and committing treason?! A newly released intelligence assessment has found that some Venezuelan government officials “facilitated” the illegal migration of members of the brutal Venezuelan criminal gang Tren De Aragua into the United States “to advance what they see as the Maduro regime’s goal of destabilizing governments and undermining public safety.” However, while Venezuela’s “permissive environment enables TDA to operate… the Maduro regime probably is not systematically directing Venezuelan outflows, such as to sow chaos in receiving countries,” says the April memo from the National Intelligence Council, released Monday by the ODNI. The memo waters down an earlier FBI assessment that the regime of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro is specifically directing TdA activities in the U.S.Maybe a squadron of B-52s and/or B2's should be scrambled to take out a few military bases in and around Caracas. Maduro could use a nice big JDAM enema. Just a thought. And it should be noted that Iran and Venezuela have very close ties. Not just Tren de Aragua gangsters but perhaps Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corpsmen and other terrorist operatives from Tehran are likely filtering through the Darien Gap and over the Rio Grande. If President Trump and team are serious about confronting or checking Iran, here's the place to do it, right in our own backyard. Speaking of Israel, finally it seems as if the Israelis after all this time have had it with Gaza. Israel called up its military reserves Sunday to prepare for a massive new operation, “Gideon’s Chariots,” in which it plans to reconquer Gaza and eliminate Hamas, neighborhood by neighborhood, over several months. The Israeli government says that it will carry out the operation if Hamas does not agree to a hostage deal by the end of the forthcoming visit of President Donald Trump to the region, which will be from May 13 to 16. Military analysts describe “Gideon’s Chariots” as a classic “clear, hold, build” strategy to root out Hamas and create new, credible, demilitarized civilian authorities to govern the Palestinian communities in Gaza.Should've done this on day one, but better late than never I guess, and given the fact that America was being run by the virulently anti-Israel/pro-Iran Obama/Biden junta I guess that was not possible at the time. And lastly, a quick shout-out and thank you for your continued support in hitting our tip jar. It truly is appreciated more than you can know. Have a great day.

The outside deck was closed because it rained all day and everything was soaked. A group got up from the bar and went outside (they unlocked the door and let themselves in the patio area). They first complained that their asses were wet from the wet chairs. She went out and attempted to provide some service, but because they already had a tab at the bar, they needed to go to the bar.

I think the problem with turning out "good candidates" is that the processes behind getting a "good candidate" to be able to run, and win are horribly corrupted.
Take Kentucky for example. McConnell has the state's election system in his pocket, or had it. He's bailing out at the end of his term, if he survives that long. Anyway, there have been candidates that were preferable to McConnell yet either were defeated in primary elections or smeared so bad they simply faded away. That's a real problem. And you can't fix this sort of thing from the inside, using the processes that prohibit change and keep shit weasels like McConnell in office regardless what the public wants. Real, lasting change will only come from outside the established political system. Posted by: Martini Farmer at May 06, 2025 08:09 AM (Q4IgG) 70

Germany's conservative leader Friedrich Merz narrowly lost a vote in the Bundestag to become the next chancellor in an unexpected setback that plunges Europe's largest economy into political uncertainty. The far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD), which finished second in the most recent election, demanded fresh elections after Merz's loss, the first time in German history that a chancellor-designate has failed to win in the first round of voting.

So after all the German government's efforts to ramp up the suppression of the AfD and "save democracy," they held a vote in the Bundestag today to confirm that pencilneck Merz as the new chancellor....and lost. Fell six votes short. They'll try again in two weeks. If Merz loses again, Germany could have snap elections once more: with the AfD now leading the polls. Spicy time approacheth. In more "judges are the law" news, a federal judge-king in NC has ordered the state to certify the Democrat the winner of the supreme court race she "won" by less than 500 votes.
The judge-king has decreed that requiring absentee ballots to comply with the election laws is "changing the rules of the game after the game has been played." The "rule" being upheld here, of course, by this judge-king is "fraudulent ballots which give a Democrat the win must be counted." And if you're wondering how a federal judge has jurisdiction to order a state to certify the winner of a state election--you obviously haven't read their Secret Constitution. The priest will encourage the planned murderer to repent and turn himself in during the Confession, but will not break the seal outside Confession. The WHOLE idea is that everything is between you and the Lord, so you confess EVERYTHING as a sinner. The priest is a conduit, not a witness and rememberer of your sins. If you ask most priests, they purposely don't remember most of what you say, since folks stream in and out, one after the other. And they sure don't identify you, b/c most times, you're mostly invisible behind a screen. Posted by: Nova Local at May 06, 2025 08:27 AM (tOcjL) 125

A team of chemists has achieved the unprecedented: stabilizing a notoriously reactive carbene molecule in water, validating a decades-old theory about vitamin B1 and offering a greener path for chemical manufacturing. Chemists have successfully generated an unstable molecule in water, a feat once believed to be impossible. Chemists have confirmed a 67-year-old theory about vitamin B1 by stabilizing a highly reactive molecule in water, a breakthrough that was long considered impossible. This discovery not only resolves a long-standing biochemical question but also paves the way for more sustainable and efficient methods of producing pharmaceuticals.

Morning, news folken,
I see the stock market is back where it was when Trump announced his tariffs. Trust the Force, Luke! Trust the process! My oldest friend is coming up on a birthday at the end of this month. He's not the email type, and I've lost his address anyway. But I've found what probably is his current physical address in FL. He's a big Trek fan, in fact he got me into it back when the show was new. I thought I'd buy a copy of David Goodman's Autobiography of James T. Kirk and send it to him with a Happy Birthday note and my phone number. If he still lives there (and he's still around), maybe we can talk by phone. I don't know how anyone can come to the conclusion that Trump is a mere reformer with what he is doing with world trade. He is resetting global relations, something that hasn't been done since WWII, on a worldwide scale without firing a shot. Nothing like this has even been attempted before and if he is successful the downstream affects will be massive.
And then there is the whole DOGE thing and ending the deep states slush fund at USAID. He is breaking the uniparty's ability to control us and foreign governments with our tax dollars. Not all revolutionaries wear berets. Sometimes they wear scalp weasels. And in this case the revolution is being televised.

Fetterman's Aides Blow Whistle on His Disturbing Mental State. Some of the staffers, who were described as “his truest believers” are now questioning his fitness to be a senator...so concerning that his former chief of staff Adam Jentleson wrote a letter to the medical director of the traumatic brain injury and neuropsychiatry unit at Walter Reed in May 2024.
He eats fast food multiple times a day...We do not know if he is taking his meds and his behavior frequently suggests he is not...We often see the kind of warning signs we discussed. Conspiratorial thinking; megalomania (for example, he claims to be the most knowledgeable source on Israel and Gaza around but his sources are just what he reads in the news — he declines most briefings and never reads memos); high highs and low lows; long, rambling, repetitive and self centered monologues; lying in ways that are painfully, awkwardly obvious to everyone in the room. ...preoccupied with the social-media platform X, which he’d previously admitted had been a major “accelerant” of his depression. He drove his car so “recklessly,” Jentleson said, that staff refused to ride with him. He had also bought a gun. Interesting times in Germany.
>>@EvaVlaar · >>4h Interesting development in Germany: >>Friedrich Merz went flat on his face in the Bundestag today as he became the first candidate in German history to not get enough votes in the first round of voting to be elected Chancellor. >>His coalition is supposed to have an absolute majority (50% + 1) in Parliament but the German constitution requires that the parliament votes anonymously to appoint the Chancellor and officially form the government. Merz didn’t get enough votes, showing some members of his own coalition turned on him. Posted by: JackStraw at May 06, 2025 09:22 AM (viF8m) 325

--------- Their weapons delivery system, from Iran, needs to get some attention. The drones and missiles are most vulnerable when in transit to Yemen from Iran. Yet, we attack the Houthi's after they've launched an attack. It'd be "better" to interdict the weapons while being shipped. It's not like we don't know where they're coming from and where they're going. Posted by: Martini Farmer at May 06, 2025 09:23 AM (Q4IgG) 328

> ’Im sending the people who ordered the “Fuck Jews” signs at my bar to Auschwitz to learn about the Holocaust.
People like Ben Shapiro have argued, a-historically and unconvincingly, even more so, ignorantly, that Jesus was a troublemaker who was murdered because he challenged the Romans. He completely denies his divinity, that He was even a prophet. He further argues the Gospels were written after the death of Jesus so their accuracy is suspect. There is so much ignorance there, so much avoidance of the historical record, and contrary theologically according to the Old Testament, it’s actually beyond comprehension. It’s one small reason why I don't read any of the nonsense his organization writes. So where do we send him, and people like him? Portnoy is a clown.
