Hey...Nike! Stay Away From Our Children! Isn't Using Them As Slave Labor Enough?

VP Vance Takes On Nike's Alleged Funding Of Youth Trans Study: 'Craziness Hasn't Gone Away'

Nike appears to have, at some point, helped fund a study on the effect of "gender-affirming" care among young male athletes to see if it's possible to impair them enough so they can "fairly" and "safely" compete in girls' and women's sports.

While the company has since told OutKick that the study "was never initialized" and "is not moving forward," it's unclear when those decisions might have been made. The company has refused to provide additional context, despite the study's head researcher – Dr. Kathryn Ackerman – and a secondary researcher – Joanna Harper, a male who "identifies" as a woman – both publicly stating that Nike was funding the study.

Boycott...Boycott...Boycott.

There is no other way to get through to companies that are hellbent on supporting the destruction of our children and our culture.

Well, maybe just nuke Nike from orbit...it's the only way to be sure.

Kami came from out Pacific Palisades
In the backroom, Kami was everybody's darling

Nike's like Target. It's fine for the foreseeable future.

Unless pro or amateur leagues decide to change vendors over this crap, they're fine. Virtually everyone who would be inclined to boycott Nike already was long before this crap, which also isn't going to get much press. Their remaining customers - virtually every pro and amateur sports league, "hood" denizens where their shoes are status symbols, young women who like their spandex, etc. - are there to stay barring some major huge and new thing. This isn't huge or new.

Boycotts and brand preference shifts *can* do damage - just ask Gillette and AB-InBev - but Nike has already weathered that storm. Like Target, "woke" is part of their brand. They could possibly do more damage by backtracking than by keeping the hammer down. It's who they are, and their customers either like it or don't care.

Overreliance on China production is what is going to hurt Nike. Plus they are passe and as a corporation, past their heyday. They are in a very competitive marketplace where even slight downturns in demand can escalate into a problem quick and the secular decline in sportsball is making things worse.

Luxury pricing for a mass market good means a downturn can escalate into a real revenue problem quickly.

Their FY projections for 2026 are already softening and their current P/E is about 19.

If anything, Nike may be ready for a short than going long.

144 Overreliance on China production is what is going to hurt Nike.

They do, and there's a reason for it. I used to have a friendly working relationship with a guy at Starbucks HQ and I once asked him why their coffee sucks. He gave a very sensible answer, and it has nothing to do with over-roasting to extend shelf life (the most common reason I see).

He put it along the lines of, "it's because we don't really sell coffee. We sell milkshakes with coffee in them. To taste coffee in a Frapuccino at *all,* the coffee has to be extremely strong and bitter. Our coffee is usually an ingredient, not a beverage on its own."

Trooning is a 20/80 issue for Nike. No upside for pissing off parents that buy a lot of these shoes while Pride! is not as problematic.

There is a very serious backlash on Troonism to the point that actually funding desexing males to compete in female sports is a lot more likely to cause damage than supporting that Kaepernick or Pride! would.

Competitors don't even have to run negative ads against Nike, let the Trump officials do that every time the subject comes up.

Pushing males into female sports and doing it explicitly is far different than rhetorical support.

That gets specifically at parents who buy a big proportion of gear from Nike versus adults.

All Adidas, Asics, and Reebok have to do is keep their mouths shut while Nike spirals downward in consumer favorability over this. They don't even have to say one word.

Nike is not someone that has a natural monopoly on selling sports ballshoes anymore with the demise of malls

241 STANDOFF! Police Chase. SUSPECT in TREE HIDING From ICE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WW-x-lyXAh4

SAN ANTONIO - A man with a warrant for his arrest fled up a tree to escape authorities.
The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday near S Navidad and Hazel St.
According to the Department of Homeland Security, they attempted to execute a deportation warrant for 29-year-old Guatemalan national Raul Ical. They tried to make the arrest during a traffic stop where Ical was a passenger, but he fled the scene and climbed a tree.
DHS says Ical entered the United States unlawfully on March 27, 2013, was deported to Guatemala on April 24, 2013, and then illegally reentered the U.S. again.

275 Focused clinical book type intelligence really is a strong indication of outright ignorance. What this "non-existent" study is, essentially, is an example of a Harvard/ Johns Hopkins educated sports medicine endocrinologist from Boston Children's Hospital exploring ways to handicap children purposefully so they can play a game.

THAT is macabre. Someone possessing the least modicum of common sense and morality would look at the endeavor and feel a strong urge to smack the good doctor in the face and tell her to wake up and recover her humanity/ humility.

There. I feel better now.

So to follow the plots of those shows, the interim hosts have to keep the site running well for a few days until JUST BEFORE Ace comes back we suddenly realize that Ace will feel despondent if everything went well with him gone, and then we have to make a mess of the place so that Ace will realize he was needed!

DOGE: How do you get half of the woke lawyers in the DOJ to quit? Tell them they're going to have to combat antisemitism and keep men out of women's bathrooms. Assistant AG Harmeet Dhillon managed to get 50% of the woke lawyers in the Civil Rights Division to voluntarily resign.
The Washington Post reported that roughly half of the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division lawyers resigned after Harmeet Dhillon, the new division head, directed the team to prioritize addressing antisemitism, transgender women's participation in women's sports, and "woke ideology."

I like Kona as far as type of beans, but since I like the ice blended drinks, and don't want to pay hundreds of dollars for a blender that gives the desired result, I pay for Starbucks or a local equivalent when we go to town. It's an occasional treat, that I very much enjoy. Our Starbucks is in a grocery store, and I like the kids who work there, and I like the current caramel drink I'm getting. When I want an ice blended mocha, I go to the local place.
