The Morning Report — 4/ 18 /25

Hoggtambien.jpg

Good GOOD FRIDAY morning kids!

Can the Democrats be so utterly clueless and tone-deaf or is it something else? Does Chris Van Hollen really think that sucking down margaritas with this criminal illegal alien in El Salvador, who has been linked to human trafficking as well as being accused of beating his wife is going to win friends and influence the electorate? Well, if Hillary Clinton, Jasmine Crockett and every other execrable Democrat wants to make this the hill to die on, who are we to oppose them. They painted themselves into this corner because they cannot concede an inch that President Trump might be right in any way shape or form.

And whatever legal procedural process may or may not have been violated in removing this fiend from our country, regardless of his violent criminal record and association with gangs are, the salient point is, from my knowledge of the law, he and other foreigners are not afforded the same due process rights as actual American citizens on American soil. His mere presence here is a crime that is punishable by immediate deportation. He may have been accidentally deported to the wrong country, but that should not mean he must be returned here. Send him back to his country of birth so he can help enrich their heritage. What has the Left shrieked about? We're deporting people who will cure cancer and invent the next great thing or some such rot.

While it's encouraging that illegal border crossings are way down and deportations and arrests even at businesses that employ illegals are up, I want to see the actual employers arrested, charged, tried, convicted and then fined heavily and/or imprisoned. That would deter the invasion like no wall ever could, IMHO.

I'll keep it short this morning but I want to wish all of you a most joyous and blessed Easter in advance. Have a great weekend.
And lastly, a quick shout-out and thank you for your continued support in hitting our tip jar. It truly is appreciated more than you can know.

Rarely but ever in any opinion will you see an appellate court use such flowery or effusive language.
It's a pretty disgusting "opinion" that embarrasses all decorum.

Not just the massive breach in referring to the "fine" judge (it's always, always "the court" because it's an office held not a nobility owned) but worse--nothing in the opinion is based on the record before the court nor a discussion of the applicable Constitutional implications.

The entire MSNBC-worthy screed can be boiled down to: We will teach Orange Man Bad to bow before us.

57 I believe that the democrats are realizing, by and large, in their collective lizard brain, that the traditional electoral tastes, folkways and structures of America will no longer sustain them, and they are breaking free from it, embracing an historical, revolutionary identity. They may not know yet how this translates to political power but they have faith in the embrace, and its organic and glorious fury, chaos and violence.

58 Problem with "arresting" employers that employ illegals is back in the early 2000's they wanted to go after Human Resource employees hiring them. As we have found out through DOGE a lot of these illegals have legitimate social cards/numbers. My mother(Mexican) was sent to classes by a pillow manufacturing company(Reno, NV) on how to spot fake SS cards. None of the shit taught in classes was applicable and didn't work. The only way she could sniff these illegals out was they'd forget "their" name when she'd call them to the office over the PA, "Rosita Conchita Chihuahua to the office'........no response. 69 Powell may have some hate for Trump, idk. But "market players" are hoping for the easy money policy again, so they can push the over-priced market ever higher. There has been talk about when the "pivot" (to lowering rates) will happen.

But rates are still historically low. Instead of easy money enabling Wall Street to dominate, imo the reciprocal tariffs and rebuilding Main Street, along with USA manufacturing is a better path. Easy Al Greenspan (and others) enabled Wall Street riches, making the rich much richer, while middle/lower classes stagnated.

The role of the fed is stable currency, not enriching the rich via cheap money for the gamblers. A little weaker dollar might help us, but USD is still considered the safe harbor in troubled times.

Listen assholes:
1) It's "We the People." Not "We the judges." We--WE the People--get to say how this country is run. Not you.
2) You need to understand this:
Ten years ago, almost no one would have supported impeachment merely over rulings they disagreed with.
But because you dumb bitches so squandered your authority and legitimacy, bowing down to the Democrats over Covid, the 2020 Election and J6 to cause this.
That's what you should be horrified and offended by--not the People calling for impeachment, but the explosive growth of support to reach a majority for such.

Also watch your school system for "mission creep". Our school district is facing flat to declining enrollment. Yet they are expanding "services" to students. Threaten to cut the budget and none of this nor administrative jobs are cut though -- they always threaten teachers and aide positions.

I imagine more than a few Congress peoples are getting a substantial kickback for looking the other way and/or protecting these people so they can operate inside the US with impunity.

But there's always the unmentioned issues of trust between these criminals. Might be worth fleshing out that mistrust to break-up their little arrangement.

It's an administrative process because deportation is not irreparable harm. If you're here legally with a Passport or green card, you can hop back on a plane and come back. If you're illegally here, well, you're gone and the administration kicking you out is the right, legal action.

It's the executive branch asking, "Where's your proof that you're allowed to be here? None? Gone."

There was a budget fight in a town near me - the town had used "emergency COVID funds" to hire a bunch of permanent bureaucrats so when the emergency ended they "needed" a massive tax increase, mostly to balance the school budget.

One of the opponents of the tax increase had noted that over ten years the number of kids in school was down 33% but in that time the school budget had doubled. And...the proponents alternated in arguing it was because of inflation (and then that inflation didn't exist) and that the old spending levels were racist.

Damn! I love Carville. I know, I know... You say "He's a left-wing loon, a true believer, a progressive style commie"

I don't agree. He's an old school left wing liberal demoncrat bomb thrower who has seen it all and understands the reality far better than the "young guns" who are dragging the party all the way to crazy town. The guy knows how to win elections and he loves it. He also knows this waaay the fuck over in left field garbage is toxic for the party. And unlike a lot of others in the party, he isn't afraid to say it. For Carville, it's all about the party, winning elections, and staying on top. And he will throw those bombs at anyone he perceives as a threat to those things. Even if they claim to be demoncrats.

I love this guy. He's a maniac!

The problem is politicians and business owners will cover each others asses. You don't see any business owners standing with Trump right now, do you? You take away the illegal hispanic work force in the housing construction boom in NC and what are you left with? Who is going to make up the loss in workers? If you think American white or black people are going to work for the kind of pay laborers get right now. A great many single hispanic male laborers live 3-4 in a home. Families live together as well. I see it day in a day out. After a year, they move out. For a long time the illegals never had bank accounts. they also went to the emergency rooms instead of Dr's offices. they didn't let themselves be accountable. They have it down pat. A lot move state to state. The illegal poplulation is now a fully systemic issue in the US. I doubt it will ever really be fully dealt with.

They continue under this delusion that the judges could affect the return at all.

The judges pushing this are pushing a fantasy and no more.

The worst a judge can do now is holding executive officials in contempt which will end up being meaningless. Criminal contempt gets pardoned. Civil contempt gets no DOJ backing for prosecution.

And that's assuming that SCOTUS isn't going to slap all of this down (they are, hearings on lower courts overstepping their bounds are scheduled in front of SCOTUS in about a month...even ACB has been writing for years about how the lower courts are out of control).

Scientists have discovered the strongest evidence yet of life outside Earth—a molecule linked to biological activity on a distant exoplanet

unusual_whales @unusual_whales
Astronomers say they have found the strongest indication of life beyond our solar system, on a planet 124 light-years from Earth called ‘K2-18b.’

While they have not yet declared the finding of life, they detected “potential biosignatures” that are typically produced by living organisms such as marine algae.

Mr Shelby @mrshelby101
Detection of Potential Biosignatures: JWST observations revealed the presence of dimethyl sulfide (DMS) and dimethyl disulfide (DMDS) in K2-18b's atmosphere.

On Earth, these compounds are produced solely by living organisms, particularly marine phytoplankton. The concentrations detected are thousands of times higher than those found in Earth's atmosphere, suggesting a possible biological origin.

Grok @grok 4h
A trip to K2-18b, 124 light-years away, would take about 2.186 million years with current spacecraft like Voyager 1, traveling at 17 km/s. Even with hypothetical advanced propulsion, reaching 10-20% of light speed, it would still take 620-1,240 years, far beyond human lifespans. Interstellar travel remains impractical due to vast distances and technological limits.

You can pay for the proper cost of labor, or you can pay for it in taxes to cover welfare for the permanently unemployed Americans.

I argue that the US taxpayer has been subsidizing corporate America for years after they shut down factories and moved them to slave labor countries. The businesses get improved profits, while the customer doesn't see the entire bill until tax time.

307 Rubio says the US might withdraw from Ukraine/Russia ceasefire negotiations if nothing changes in the next few days.

“If our efforts to end the war in Ukraine fail within the next few days, we will inform President Trump that negotiations are no longer a viable option. If both sides are serious about peace, we’re ready to help, otherwise, we’ll move on.”

1) First and most importantly, I've never seen you post an actual link showing that Sarah Hoyt libeled you. Not here, not on Instapundit.

3) After literally years of being asked to provide a DD-214, you finally post something. But how do we know it's yours and not someone else's?

2) CBD told you the last time you showed up to knock it off. And yet here you are.

GIVE IT A REST.

Wait, wait, wait.

Did dude seriously just say he was going to murder Sarah Hoyt?

If he's trying to look like a Badass Killer, maybe he shouldn't turn his wrath upon a woman.

312 The driving reason employers have been hiring illegals is to keep wages deflated to deal with the low wages and unfair trade deals foisted on this country by previous politicians on both sides of the aisle. That's the entire reason Trump is resetting the playing field.

Let's see where we are when the trade discussions shake out.

Let’s get real here.

The “driving reason” wasn’t something that was done Willy nilly by politicians but at the insistence of Corporate CEOs and Wall Street big wigs.

Why did you leave them out.

I wish there were judicial reform being contemplated to reduce the number of federal judges. If they have enough time to manage the executive branch then they must be under utilized in their real jobs.

316 While it's encouraging that illegal border crossings are way down and deportations and arrests even at businesses that employ illegals are up, I want to see the actual employers arrested, charged, tried, convicted and then fined heavily and/or imprisoned. That would deter the invasion like no wall ever could, IMHO.

It's the only way to stamp out illegal immigration completely. Bring on e-verify.

318 I don't believe Charles has converted to Islam. I think it's more likely that he's an atheist. He is, however, smart enough to understand that his country is, effectively, muslim. They may not be the absolute majority yet but the elected governments keep treating them like they are.

Posted by: I used to have a different nic at April 18, 2025 08:22 AM

The majority of the UK population may not be Muslim, but it seems the majority of people in positions of power and influence in the UK are Muslim. And that's all that matters. Once that happens, it's over.

319 It was recently reported that Hogg is using DNC resources to run against a number of sitting Democrats. He wants people in office who are further left and will amp up the ‘resistance’ against Trump.

Carville is outraged about this and during an appearance on NewsNation called Hogg a ‘contemptible little twerp.’ He even suggested the possibility of a lawsuit against Hogg over this.

Ignoring the Working Families Party - supporters of AOC, Chuck Schumer, Kathy Hochul, etc. - and similar organizations - is not the best move for the future. We do so at our peril.

Hogg is just giving them the platform. (Theater & cover)

322 It has been theorized that Christianity fares best where it is oppressed.

Posted by: I used to have a different nic at April 18, 2025 09:03 AM

It has been oppressed in the UK for seemingly decades now and it does not seem to be faring well there at all.

Granted, I don't know what "fares best" really means.

Christianity has been oppressed here in the USA for decades as well and I would not say it has been faring well here either. Catholic Church here seems to be entirely left-wing, supporting all left-wing causes (global warming, BLM, illegal aliens, gender madness, LGBTQ+ nonsense, abortion, etc.). Christianity in general seems to be more about gaining followers rather than preaching the Bible's teachings and principles. See that "He Gets Us" campaign, for example.

Then of course there are all the denominations which support LGBTQ+ nonsense and support abortion.
