I freely admit to increasing my alcohol consumption over dealing with the boy, his lack of ability to adult, and his hurtful and abusive relationship with me and DH. The boy no longer knows where we live, and that's nearly as bad. My liver may not think I'm doing the right thing, but for now, it's a coping skill.

I have my dog Ralphy and my friends' cats from across the street come in every day from about 11am to 5 or 6pm to sleep.

Not long after Rebecca was born, I saw a film made in France which featured a young man with Down syndrome. I was very impressed with the fact that he could carry on a conversation in French - it gave me hope that my baby with DS could grow up and learn to speak a foreign language, just like that young actor!
A few seconds later, I realized that French was that kid's native language...🙄😂

I am an idiot. We have plenty of fish guts, but we usually throw them in the river, to replenish the river ecosystem. No reason why I can't keep 'em, along with the heads and tails, and compost them to replace poo. Much better idea.
We usually get between 25 and 45 nice sockeyes every July. That should be plenty.
Of course, I will have to argue with the seagulls and eagles who think those parts are theirs by law...

get a 55 gal barrel, cut the top out, and use that to let it ferment over winter. It is pretty hot I am told, so use it with a lot of water. You can toss in kelp too. Mom used to buy Alaskan Brand Fish Fertilizer which is basically just that.
