103 I never know what to think about Van Gogh paintings. There are always points that get my attention but the overall effect is confused. But this is still interesting. Everything swirls in bright, somewhat discordant colors. Except the eyes. (As others here have noted.) They are comparatively sharp and real against the swirl of the rest. They show him focused as they make the viewer focus on them. It's a bit hard to look away.

Oddly, perhaps, this makes me think of a Green Man image. That is where a human face starts to appear from the depths of a tree or foliage, a spirit emerging from the wood. It's an ancient image. No matter how much else is obscured, the eyes are always sharp and definitive, staring out. (Shades of Treebeard.) The effect of the two images seems related.

“Necrotizing fasciitis (NF), also known as flesh-eating disease, can arise when certain bacteria enter the skin through a wound — a cut, abrasion, burn, surgical wound, or even an insect bite,” Bill Sullivan, a professor of microbiology and immunology at Indiana University, who was not involved in the case report, told Live Science in an email. “NF can occur anywhere skin or tissue is breached, including genitalia.”

One willing to play twice as dirty as the left, right up and maybe just past the limit of the law, to burn down all their precious "rules" that only seem to benefit them.

Issuing mass orders; sealing all evidence; gagging all parties; setting hearing on the left's motions, only to cancel and re-set to the next day; sanctioning their lawyers; granting relief far in excess of what Trump seeks; assigning himself jurisdiction no matter where the parties reside; midnight orders; oral orders; more sanctions; impossible deadlines for the left to respond; laughing, joking and chatting with Trump lawyers while barely letting the left's speak; etc.

An endless machine gun of orders and violations--make them fucking choke on their rules that they've been flaunting for the last 10 years.

169 The Marxist leaders of Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Colombia all offered statements honoring the legacy of the late Pope Francis on Monday, embracing him as a friend to their cause.

The most vocal praise came from Cuba, where dictator Raúl Castro – who once joked he would return to the Catholic Church if Pope Francis “kept it up” – called him a “dear friend” and credited him with making the Church more palatable to the Communist Party leadership. Figurehead President Miguel Díaz-Canel similarly lauded Pope Francis as “unforgettable” and credited him with making Cuba a priority in his service as head of the church.

When the lovely and globe-trotting Mrs naturalfake and I visited the Prado Museum in Madrid,

one of the exhibits that interested me the most was an exhibit for an upcoming Exhibition Tour of the Prado's Art and how they made extremely accurate fake versions of the real painting to send instead of the originals.

And I wondered...if you go to these great museums just loaded with priceless paintings out in the open,

how many are actually the originals and how many are expertly painted fakes?

Have we ever actually seen a Van Gogh painted by Van Gogh in person? Or was it "Starry, Starry Night" by Myron Schwartz?

BONUS!: If you ever get a chance, give yourself plenty of time and go see the Prado Museum in Madrid. I'd put it easily on par with the Louvre and various Brit Art Museums.

Sure.

Mae was sparring with Charlie McCarthy on the Chase & Sanborn Hour radio show in 1937. During their repartee, Mae said, "You weren't so nervous and backward when you came up to see me at my apartment. In fact, you didn't need any encouragement to kiss me."

"Did I do that?"
McCarthy asked.

"Why, you certainly did," West purred. "I got marks to prove it. And splinters, too!"

And that joke got West banned from radio for ten years.
