Democrats Will Never Forgive Laken Riley for Being Murdered By an Illegal Alien

When Joe Biden and Alejandro Mayorkas opened the southern border to an invasion of hardened criminals such as Jose Antonio Ibarra, it was fully understood and embraced by the left that those criminals would commit heinous acts of crime against law-abiding Americans. Laken Riley was one of those victims. Even after murdering Ms. Riley, Ibarra remained a hero to the left. In fact, President Biden actually apologized to Ibarra for using the term “illegal” to describe him.

Unfortunately for the Democrats, most of the nation was aghast at Ms. Riley’s murder, and legislation was introduced in her honor by Congress mandating that illegal aliens accused of most felonies and violent crimes must be detained. Because of the notoriety of the Laken Riley murder, some Democrats broke rank out of political expediency and voted for the conservative legislation.

Buyer’s remorse is starting to settle in on Democrats who broke rank, however. The base of the party still champions Laken Riley’s murderer, Jose Antonio Ibarra. Democrat Rep. Jahana Hayes went on CNN to express her regret for supporting legislation to lock up violent illegals.

Now can we please do something about the ventless, ~~no spill~~ always-spill gas cans that the scientifically illiterate bureaucrats at the EPA have inflicted on those of us who use power tools.

The document indicates the White House is ready to ask Congress to eliminate NOAA’s climate research centers and cut hundreds of federal and academic climate scientists who track and study human-driven global warming.

The entire premise is false. There is no human-driven global warming. “Climate science” is not science at all, it is simply the use of US taxpayer dollars to propagandize for global command and control of all human activities, and subject those same taxpayers to lives without liberty.

It is bad enough that NOAA has lost its way in pursuit of global climate-communism, but it’s even more preposterous that NASA is wasting taxpayer dollars on climate propaganda. NASA is so lost and politicized that it’s no longer even capable of launching a person into space, having to rely instead on Russians and private companies. As best I can tell, NASA is now little more than a federal landlord leasing out launchpads to those capable of doing what it can no longer do.

A Climate Update from the Bureau of Imaginary Problems

We are repeatedly told that it is a hard and fast, indisputable, scientific fact that the oceans are warming because of the carbon-based lifestyle of people such as you and me. Only climate deniers would deny the harsh reality that the ocean temperatures are rising.

I guess I’m a “climate denier” who also happens to be correct - ocean waters in the southern hemisphere are getting colder, nor warmer.

Scientists have observed an unusual cooling trend in the surface waters of the Southern Ocean, contrary to predictions and modelling.

”…contrary to predictions and modelling.” These were the same predictions and models which stated that only an abolition of personal freedom under global communism could save the planet from apocalyptic warming.

Like any carnival barker who gets busted for promoting a fraud, the climate hustlers just keep changing their sales pitch, but the underlying fraudulent product they keep pushing remains unchanged. The climate hoaxsters are now claiming that of course the ocean waters are cooling…because of global warming!

“We found that the Southern Ocean cooling trend is actually a response to global warming, which accelerates ice sheet melting and local precipitation,” says Earle Wilson, an assistant professor of Earth system science at the Department of Earth System Science at Stanford University in California.

Rather than admit that “climate scientists” keep producing faulty models, Stanford University is furiously spinning to adjust the incorrect models and keep the climate hoax going. Anything else taught at Stanford should be considered just as fake as its climate science. Falsus in unum. Falsus in omnibus.

Goldman Sachs, which has prospered under the uniparty’s globalist, America-last agenda, is terrified that Donald Trump might be successful. Therefore Goldman has suddenly redefined the term “recession” to be a mid-day stock drop that might be harmful to Wall Street and to hedge fund hotshots.

Goldman Sachs declared a recession last week that lasted all of 73 minutes before the stock market rebounded and the recession was called off by Goldman.

The disturbing end point for this “libertarian” passion for the elimination of labor expense, despite the ongoing need for human labor, is a return to the “peculiar institution” that western nations finally abolished in the 19th century. Principled Free Traders are already quite open about their enthusiasm for the use of overseas chattel labor in the name of increased corporate profit and lower consumer prices. What is the principle that allows free trade libertarians to be comfortable with foreign slavery but not domestic slavery? It seems like a slippery slope. Decent people understand that slavery is an abomination anywhere on this planet, and that anyone using the term “capitalism” while supporting the use of foreign chattel labor is a threat to actual market capitalism, where labor must be a negotiable input.

And by the way, if robots and machines are replacing factory workers, why are the free traders so desperate to have all that manufacturing done overseas rather than here in the U.S? We all know the reason why, of course. Even with automated manufacturing, there still needs to be all sorts of blue-collar jobs to support such plants. The America-last free traders recoil in horror that there might be any jobs created for the “deplorable” class of Americans.

Seriously, I wouldn't get rid of ALL climate research, if for no other reason than that I don't want the next Dem president to come into office and declare that we need a new climate moonshot because Trump stopped collecting climate data, which they will say would have clearly shown a rising global T.

However, I would set it up so that only read data is presented; no more of the made up "forced" data from faulty weather stations. I reckon 1% of the current climate budget should do it.

One thing about LEDS (or a couple, who's counting):

Pro: they do not give off heat.

Con: the quality of the light is just slightly off. It is harsh. You can get ones that are close, but it just feels off to me.

Good (fantastic) in car headlamps, not so much for indoor lighting.

What tariffs? They’ve all been “paused”. For China the ones that matter, like phones and other high value products, they’re gone altogether.

But Art of The Deal. I mean come on. Let’s just be real. He saw the markets tank, and even worse the bond market collapse and got scared. Can’t blame him really, the reaction was ridiculous and he doesn’t want to be the guy remembered for an economic collapse on his watch.

Reality is in order to right the ship we need a painful severe recession. A long one too. It will take that to restore jobs. It can’t happen overnight without some painful disruptions along the way. But there’s no political will to make that happen. Not even from Trump.

There is a documentary on the Saturn V on YT. Astounding vehicle, that bent physics to make the impossible possible. The only thing that challenges it for technical challenge is the natural gas powered SpaceX launch vehicle.

The argument that was made orginally was that getting illegals to work all though low status/pay jobs would then "free up" Americans to working at higher status jobs.

But...there are only so many of those jobs, and they generally require long periods of training. So instead most of those people ended up...SSDI.

So yes, your lettuce is 5 cents cheaper because they can pay illegals less but now you get to pay taxes to keep the person that used to work that job alive instead of letting them work at it.

Oh, and that's for the illegals that do work. Many of them don't getting various forms of welfare instead.

I'm not sure what you mean by successful. DOGE was very successful, and continues to be, at pointing out waste and fraud in government. Unfortunately, Congress just goes ahead and funds said waste and fraud.

We haven't really seen any success on the Russian front. And the middle east is a powder keg, ready to blow.

Most of the illegals are still here. Even on tariffs, he's suspended most of them. Which, in my mind is a good thing, but I only ever thought they were good as a negotiating tool, so I hope that is going to work. I'm still not sure.

Only the country specific rates(excluding China) have been paused. The 10% baseline and sector specific tariffs(generally 25%) are still in place. Stuff from China with a waiver seems to be at 20%, though it appears electronics may become sector specific.

Most of the big stuff can be determined quickly, it's fine details that can cause a negotiation to go to a couple years. India and the US have finalized terms of reference for phase 1 of that trade deal, and talks have only been going on for a couple months. They overall expect to have something in place in that 90 day window.

Depends on how bad the other countries want it. Some countries -- like Vietnam -- will be easy to close, because they see competitive advantages in doing so. Vietnam has become almost like a mini-China in exports, and would love to get a deal in place that gives them more access to the US market. They were one of the first in line to negotiate.

Other countries -- like in Europe -- will be backstabbing scumbags like they always are.

I expect this will be 90% wrapped up in 90 days. Trump will of course not get everything he wants, or even close to everything. But it will overall be a much better deal for the USA than we had in January.

What’s the definition of a good deal? The issue for most countries isn’ta simple tariff. Where the negotiating is your drop your Tarriff to 0 and we will as well. That would take 5 minutes.

The real issue is all the fuckery with regulations and subsidies and VAT and currency manipulation by countries which makes it impossible for US goods to be sold. That will take time. And every country has their own version of it. I can’t see how that’s done in 6 months let alone 90 days.

Disagree. LED's make great floodlights, but they don't focus worth a damn. The stock halogen composite lights on my suburban, which are pretty mediocre, pick up road signs and obstacles on the road far further away than do LED lamps. Seen this many times while being overtaken by some shmuck with LED headlamps, that create a huge pool of white light up close to his car, but it's my headlamps picking out that warning sign a half-mile ahead.

I'm not sure the DOJ has discretion here. The DOJ is tasked with defending challenges to legislation and agency action. So long as the creator of the legislation or rule still wants to pursue it, the DOJ acts as the creator's lawyer in court.

Right, but as I've pointed out several times, the mistaken impression people have about Big L is that it's the same party it was before 2022.

They had a setback with the nomination of a gay lefty in '24, but otherwise the party is much more in line with libertarianism than it was before 2022.

Clickbait. It was a district court judge in Kansas, who by the way is anti gun, that ruled that. If you go way back to US v. Miller, that was the same tactic used by the left to have Scotus rule that the NFA was constitutional and hurt gun rights since the 1930's. So, under Miller which even Bruen did not overturn (it distinguished the case because it was not necessary to do more than cite common use argument), the NFA is constitutional by precedent and thus the 10th is bound to overturn the district court decision as a matter of law. Now, Scotus either grants cert or not (I am betting not), which means the whole premise of that video is effectively wishcasting bullshit.

Subsidiarity is a more sustainable circumstance with the Fedgov and state governments devolving decision making to the lowest level possible in many cases. The fly in the ointment is that it allows people to be deprived of liberty in places and not in others. Ostensibly, the Bill of Rights applies and even the older common law rights incorporated in the privileges and immunities clause and the 9th Amendment. But in actuality, it means leftie shitholes and rightie paradises uneasily coexisting within a national and state framework. Some people, against their wishes will be stuck behind due to various circumstances like jobs, family, etc. and conflict between localities will occur and states and fedgov will have to resolve those.

Easy, those men are desperate for love at any price. If you dig down into sociology and history, there are patterns that both sexes continue and repeat throughout whatever milieu they live in. All society does is determine how those patterns play out in a particular time and place. So like it or not, mating strategies and behaviors seem more rooted in genetics than a lot of people want to believe. Humans can and do override their genetic programming but it takes conscious effort and a grace from the Lord to avoid sliding into pre programmed responses.
