Media: We're Totally Fearless Truth-Seekers But Also We Hid the Truth of Biden's Dementia from the Public Because We Were Afraid of Social Ostracism by the White House or Fellow "Reporters"

There's so much Now It Can Be Told reporting on Biden's dementia, now that it's irrelevant and can't hurt the Democrat Party or help Trump.

Andrew Stiles:

Now They Tell Us: How Top Democrats Changed Their Tune on Biden's Decline After the Election

In cruel twist of irony, Hillary Clinton may have been the only one who wasn't lying

Mainstream journalists spent the last four years "speaking truth to power" by helping Democrats lie to the American people about the extent of Joe Biden's cognitive decline. The truth can finally be told now that the election is over.

The first of several books about the Democratic Party's scandalous cover up, Fight: Inside the Wildest Battle for the White House by Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes, came out earlier this month. Excerpts from the upcoming titles, such as Uncharted: How Trump Beat Biden, Harris, and the Odds in the Wildest Campaign in History by Chris Whipple, have leaked to the press in an effort to juice sales. The revelations contained in these works of postelection journalism reveal the alarming disparity between what leading Democratic politicians and White House aides felt privately about Biden's cognitive health (very concerned) and their public comments defending the president from criticism.

Ron Klain

After serving as White House chief of staff from 2021-2023, Klain returned in 2024 to help Biden prepare for the now infamous CNN debate. Klain was "startled" by the president's condition during their first meeting, Whipple writes in Uncharted. "He'd never seen him so exhausted and out of it. Biden was unaware of what was happening in his own campaign. Halfway through the session, the president excused himself and went off to sit by the pool." Klain was "struck by how out of touch with American politics" Biden was, and after watching the president appear "fatigued, befuddled, and disengaged" during limited prep sessions, he "feared the debate with Trump would be a nationally televised disaster."

Klain offered a remarkably different account several days after the debate in July 2024. "As the president said, he had a bad night, his practices were better, and he was tired from all the back and forth travel around the world, and was suffering from a cold that really constrained his voice and constrained his ability to be forceful in the debate," Klain said on MSNBC. "But the president is absolutely sharp, fit, on top of his game. People can see that for themselves. You don't have to take my word for it."

...

Barack Obama

The former president was "shocked" but "not surprised" when Biden bragged about finally beating Medicare on the debate stage, according to Allen and Parnes. "Obama knew from experience how the job aged a man, and he could see the effects when he watched Biden on television and in their rare joint appearances." One of those appearances was at a Hollywood fundraiser that made headlines after a video clip showed Obama gingerly leading Biden off stage after the president appeared to freeze up. In their first conversation after the debate, Obama tried to "subtly guide Biden toward his own conclusion that there was no light at the end of this tunnel."

Obama did not share these views publicly. Instead, he meekly offered support for the president like a total coward, a move that undermined his own desire to see Biden leave the race. "Bad debate nights happen," he wrote on X. "Trust me, I know. But this election is still a choice between someone who has fought for ordinary folks his entire life and someone who only cares about himself. Between someone who tells the truth; who knows right from wrong and will give it to the American people straight -- and someone who lies through his teeth for his own benefit. Last night didn't change that, and it's why so much is at stake in November."

After Biden dropped out, Obama campaigned passionately for Harris despite telling Democrats in private conversations that she was a bad candidate who would "lose to Trump."

He discusses other Democrats' flip-flopping on Biden's mental acuity. See the article for that.

The madwoman Hillary Clinton apparently stuck by Biden through this. But then, she's half-senile herself.

The media is in damage control mode, attempting to find some explanation for why they covered up Biden's dementia that doesn't prove that they're either stupid and incompetent or that they're deranged partisan liars who will tell you that the sky is green if they think that might boost the Democrat Party by 0.1%.

Axios founder Jim VandeHei attempts the softest possible rebuke of his fellow "journalists," while pretending that he had nothing to do with the cover-up:

His partner Mike Allen gropes for an explanation for the press's failure -- and yeah, it wasn't a failure, they covered up Biden's dementia exactly as they intended to, with mostly good results considering the enormity of the full-spectrum psyop they were running.

Allen says, in so many words, that reporters are weak-willed social climbers who will take down their pants and bend over for peer approval. He says "reporters" just didn't report on Joe Biden's dementia because "we all want to be liked by the White House."

Really? Seems to me that "reporters" were eager to offend the Trump White House, and before that, the GWB White House, and before that, the Bush White House, and before that, the Reagan White House.

These partisan hacks always vomit up neutral-sounding reasons for their intense, palpable partisanship. "Well we all want to be liked." No, that's a lie; you want to be liked by Democrats.

They do nothing but tell one lie after the last lie before the next lie and then get huffy about other people's alleged "disinformation."

Their first, last, and only ethic is to lie constantly about their politicization of information.

"Hello," they lied. Why don't you deplorable bigots trust us?

Chuck Todd soft-pedals it, but does admit the obvious reason for the cover-up: Because reporters didn't want to "help Trump."

But I don't understand. I was informed that reporters are fair and objective, and that it's just Conservative Disinformation to say they have a rooting interest in politics and they abuse their positions of influence to advance their political imperatives.

But now you're telling me these Saints of Truth actually hide information because it might hurt a Democrat or help a Republican?

I'm confoozulated!

Former CNN Thumb Chris Cillizza -- CNN fired his ass, but he remains a Thumb -- defaults to the old cover story, that the Biden White House was just filled with super-geniuses with the persuasive powers of the devil himself so of course the sainted press corps was just snowed under by the devil's silver tongue.

But they're still geniuses and experts in all things, mind you. It's just in this one case -- well, this and covid, and Hunter Biden's laptop, and Benghazi, and If You Like Your Insurance You Can Keep Your Insurance, and a dozen others -- the wily Democrats just hoodwinked the poor dumb unsophisticated press corps.

Which is not dumb and unsophisticated. They're rara avis geniuses, of course. It's just that the Democrats diminished their ability to use the Force, like Palpatine did in the Star Wars prequels. They shot Stupid Rays into their brains.

But they're all better now, and once again they are much smarter and more sophisticated than you are so you must go back to believing their every pronouncement again.

Chris Cillizza
@ChrisCillizza

I don't agree.

While I absolutely believe that the media -- myself VERY much included -- didn't work hard enough to get around the smokescreen the Biden people were putting up around him -- I do not think that it was "intentional activism."

We simply didn't push hard enough.

Weird -- you pushed very hard to claim that every single statement Trump made was a lie. Why did all of this rabid energy to call the White House a den of liars dissipate all of a sudden?

But let's say it is "herd mentality." Okay-- which way does the herd run? Don't tell me it runs in every direction, because that's not what herd mentality means. Herd mentality refers to groupthink in which everyone thinks and moves the same way.

So which way is that? And why is it so easy to get this herd on the same path?

Could it be because there is nearly zero intellectual diversity in this group? That they all shame the same assumptions and political leanings?

The authors of Fight report that Donilon was indeed desperate to maintain his White House perks. "Nobody walks away from this," Donilon told a prominent Democrat. "No one walks away from the house, the plane, the helicopter." Another Biden ally recalls: "Donilon was one hundred percent. All of the people around him. 72 The simple explanation for the media collusion was that they knew we knew and that we knew that they knew we knew but they dared us. They simply said what are you going to do about it, vote your way out of our grip. Funnily enough Trump's vote must have been huge to overcome their grasp.

The young people who ignore the media and get their info from podcasts saved the day. New media defeated the old media and it helped that the young people were pissed off at being lied to.

I looked at the Free Beacon article to find out how on earth it was that Hillary wasn't lying. The claim by Allen and Parnes is that basically, she was that stupid. She didn't spend much time with him (although neither did we, and we knew) and she felt his pain because she was also dragged for getting unhealthy when she "knew" that was a bunch of BS (yeah, she's healthy; she just gets things wrong because she's a liar).

Even after she watched the debate, she defended him. Somehow, Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes think she still considered him capable.

I don't know about that. Cuomo did a long interview with Tucker. Guy sounds dense and kind of dumb, but nowhere near as dumb as you'd think.

He and Tucker laughed about how they had little control over what they said on air and how much internal politics at the channel were involved with what ends up on TV.

Halsey?

My personal theory, pulled straight from my ass, is that, before WWI or so, Navy officers were independent god-like figures who sometimes operated for years without any contact with higher authority. There just wasn't any way to contact them. Army officers, by contrast were usually a few days at most away from higher command.

Operating as an independent god doesn't really mesh well with being a politician.

185 James Garfield, the 20th President of the United States, had a fascinating life filled with unique accomplishments and quirks. Here are some interesting facts about him (1/3):

Ambidextrous Talent: Garfield was ambidextrous and could write with both hands simultaneously. Even more impressively, he could write in Latin with one hand and Greek with the other at the same time—a skill that’s as rare as it is mind-boggling.

From Poverty to Presidency: Born in a log cabin in Ohio in 1831, Garfield grew up in extreme poverty after his father died when he was just 18 months old. He worked as a canal boat driver and farmhand before educating himself into a political career, making him one of the few true "rags-to-riches" presidents.Math Whiz: Garfield was a bit of a nerd—he developed an original proof of the Pythagorean theorem in 1876 while serving in Congress. It’s not every day a politician doubles as a mathematician, and his proof is still recognized today.

192 James Garfield (2/3):

Assassination Oddity: He was shot on July 2, 1881, by Charles Guiteau, a disgruntled office-seeker, at a Washington, D.C., train station. Doctors probing for the bullet with unsterilized instruments likely caused the infection that killed him 11 weeks later. Alexander Graham Bell even tried to locate the bullet with a primitive metal detector, but it failed—partly because Garfield was lying on a metal bedframe.

Multilingual Preacher: Before politics, Garfield was a lay preacher in the Disciples of Christ church and could deliver sermons in multiple languages, including Latin and Greek, thanks to his self-taught classical education.

Civil War Hero: Garfield served as a Union general during the Civil War, leading troops at the Battle of Shiloh and Chickamauga. He left the military in 1863 to join Congress—after being elected while still in the field.

Pet Lover: Garfield had a soft spot for animals. He reportedly named his favorite dog "Veto" because it barked at congressional bills he didn’t like (or so he jokingly claimed).

First Lefty?: Historians debate whether Garfield was the first left-handed president. Evidence suggests he favored his left hand, though his ambidexterity muddies the waters. If true, he’d beat out Herbert Hoover, the commonly cited "first."

Telephone Fan: Garfield was president when the telephone was still a novelty. He reportedly loved chatting on it and was one of the first to have a phone installed in the White House—though it came too late to save him.

John Paul Jones could have done well if he’d tried.

But you’re probably close with your theory since politicians of old had to be asked by the party to run for president and those old sailors wanted nothing to do with it.

That's because they knew Biden was not in charge of anything, the COS was. It was clear to most of us that was the case since the start of Biden's term.

I still think that there was a deal made in 2020 to go with Biden provided that he only stays for one term. Biden reneged on the deal and there was nothing they could do about it so his crashing at the debate meant that they could legitimately get rid of him.

That strikes me as very odd for someone with so much to give.

Maybe his last meaningful relationship involved betrayal and he doesn't want to open myself up to that again. Not that odd to be wrecked emotionally by someone and have no desire to go through that again.
Don't know the man or his history; just throwing that out as one reason why someone wouldn't want to get married.

Odd, but yeah, there are many reasons why good men avoid getting married and having kids and being caught in a "trap" by a "Karen" type female.

No idea about his situation, but our courts certainly are aligned against the white male father. I'm still single and childless ... avoided the possible pain, but also passed up some very fine women.

idk, being a white male makes one a target, but some men should find the right women, despite the biased courts. I guess ...
