A Female Fencer is Banned from Competing When She Refuses to Fight a Man
If there's no difference between men and women, then there should be no "women's" sports, period. If there's no difference between men and women, women should just compete with men, period, and if they can't compete -- which they can't -- then they don't get to play sports.

A female fencer is speaking out after she was disqualified from a tournament in Maryland for taking a knee and refusing to compete against a transgender-identifying male opponent. Stephanie Turner, 31, was black-carded and booted from a tournament this past weekend for refusing to compete against Redmond Sullivan, who is male and identifies as transgender. Sullivan formerly competed against males and was permitted by USA Fencing to compete in the women's tournament, the organization confirmed to The Daily Wire. "I want to thank God for trusting me with this mission to fight for female exclusive sports and putting me in a place to effectively protest," Turner told The Daily Wire in a statement. "I also want to add that I am grateful to the Independent Council on Women's Sports (ICONS) for their encouragement and support," she added. "They have helped me and so many other women who have been put in this unfair and confusing situation." ...
"Redmond says to me, 'Well you know, there is a member on the board of directors here who supports me, and there is a policy that acknowledges me as a woman, so I am allowed to fence, and you will get black-carded,' and I said, 'I know.'"Sometimes backlash is unfortunate. Strange bridge to die on, from what I recall from my college fencing days, women were more than capable than men. It's not an upper body strength sport, favors precision and leg strength.
Of course reach matters, but refusing to fence vs someone taller than you would likely also net a DQ.

The best Elton John album is
"Tumbleweed Connection".
One of his earliest albums but there's not a bad song on it, and several excellent ones. It's also probably his least heard album.
Kind of an oddball critter in that it's a sort of concept album set in the Old West/Old South. Made, I guess, before Elton John and Bernie Taupin had really figured out "who" Elton John was going to be as an entertainer. That was his "street fighter" stage when he wore jeans and a t-shirt and tennis shoes and was a piano bashing rocker. No teh ghey on display.
Check it out. It's great.

Strange bridge to die on, from what I recall from my college fencing days, women were more than capable than men. It's not an upper body strength sport, favors precision and leg strength.
Of course reach matters, but refusing to fence vs someone taller than you would likely also net a DQ.

O/T we watched the stupid Netflix docu BS, "Surviving Blackhawk Down," and found it to be just fucking awful.
They got survivors willing to be interviewed, only one D-boy, and I think three Rangers, one of which was a sniper who rode in a Blackhawk. They got the heli pilot, the one that got taken hostage and traded back, to speak also.
Of course they got plenty of skinnies to speak.

I think I've talked about this on the 'hq before, but a relatively recent girlfriend (last 5 years) who was fairly tall for a woman got in an argument with me about which one of us was stronger. She goes to the gym, she's very strong, and women can be as strong as men.
And she was dead ass serious.
After some banter, I said, okay, I'll pin you down on the bed and see if you can escape, then you'll do the same to me and see if I can escape.
She was shocked that she was powerless against me and that I pushed her off me in about 3 seconds. It rocked her entire world.
The point of this anecdote is that there are far too many women in their 20's and 30's who literally believe (thanks to propaganda and hollywood) that they are just as strong as men.

Not to crap on a good "transgenders shouldn't be in female sports" thread, but I believe that fencing tournament (and most tournaments) have a suspension rule for forfeiting a match.
If that rule is universally applied, then it should be appliec in this case.
The female fencer will be getting unfair punishment if she gets a longer suspension due to forfeiting to a transgender.

The best women's softball players would likely struggle heavily against Varsity Baseball Players. You might find the odd freak that could pitch. But batting, fielding and baserunning would be a huge issue against men.

If needed, have a few small colleges do the same thing if Democrats still refuse to acknowledge the actual truth.

Strange bridge to die on, from what I recall from my college fencing days, women were more than capable than men. It's not an upper body strength sport, favors precision and leg strength.
Of course reach matters, but refusing to fence vs someone taller than you would likely also net a DQ.

Although in competitive man carrying wife racing the preferred way to do it is to have the wife hold on to the man with her legs upside down (i think) to keep the man's hands free. That's probably pretty hard, deserves respect.
