The Morning Report — 4/ 2 /25

MystalBlue.jpg

Good morning kids. First up, on a sad note, news broke late last night of the passing of actor Val Kilmer at the age of 65. He was in some of the more iconic pictures of the mid 80s through the 90s, creating some memorable roles and moments on the silver screen. RIP.

Well, Wisconsin disappoints yet again. There were reports late last week of serious election integrity shenanigans in Milwaukee and considering what we all saw in 2020, the only thing that really ticks me off is that both the state and national GOP, which had plenty of time to organize and marshal the resources to both rally voters and do what they could from the legal standpoint to fight the cheat, did nothing. On a positive note, the resolution requiring photo ID to vote actually passed. And, the special elections in Florida were big wins for our side.

The Leftists were and are making the Wisconsin race for an open state Supreme court seat into a supposed mandate on Trump. I fully expect the spin machine to either ignore the two wins in Florida or else claim them to not mean anything. These elections aside, all recent polling shows broad support for Trump and the MAGA agenda across the board and a concomitant disaffection with Democrats. More crucially, the reactions to the butchery of "Snow White" as well as full on rejection of the Democrat platforms of Woke, DEI and all the rest I think are a bellwether of a societal shift away from the depredations and madness of unchecked Leftism. There is a sea change in the culture that will be seen and felt over the course of quite a few years to come. If nothing else, I hope to live long enough to see and feel it in the final twilight of my sunset years, whenever that is to be.

On a personal note, I somehow managed to rear-end someone resulting in the likely write off of my car. And it happened right in front of a polling station. How's that for irony. Anyway, most importantly no one was injured but suffice it to say that considering the year I've already had this is the last thing I needed. Like the proverbial hole in my head that I quite literally have.

Anyway, basta cosi on that. Life goes on, Oh-blah-dee, and this too shall pass. As for the local politics, now comes the full court press (pun intended) to gerrymander the hell out of this place so as to eliminate two solidly GOP seats, one of them belonging to my congressman Brian Steil.

So, some scumbag in Philadelphia got arrested for tossing nails in the driveways and at the cars of Trump supporters. Well, at least we can be thankful hat his neighbor down the block wasn't Bill Ayers who could have advised him about the efficacy of steel pipe, black powder and long fuses. Or Mohammed the Clock Boy. . .

And with that, I give you this effluent to chug down on this dreary morning.

Mystal said, “I set out to start to kind of try to write Project 2029,” Mystal explained. “When Republicans come into office, they come in with a sledge hammer. They come in smashing things that I hold dear. When Democrats come into office, they come with like superglue and tape. And, so they try to put things back together. So, I thought about writing ten Constitutional Amendments that would be super cool if we had. But, I was like, ‘No, no, no.’ We need to smash the things that they like. We need to smash the things that are holding this country back. And, so I came up with ten laws that we could just get rid of — not reform, not update for the modern era. Ten things that we can smash if we ever are allowed to get power again that would make this country better tomorrow.”Co-host Sunny Hostin said, “One of the laws you write about is playing out right now, the Immigration and Nationality Act,” Hostin said. “Now, this administration is using this statute to justify the detentions and possible deportations actually of visa and green card holders who they seem to deem a threat to U.S. foreign policy. What do you make of the administration’s use of the act, and more broadly, is Trump really setting up a First Amendment showdown — which is what Whoopi’s been talking about?”
One of my premises for the book is that every law passed before the 1965 Voting Rights Act should be presumptively unconstitutional. Because before the 1965 Voting Rights Act, we were functionally an apartheid country. Not everybody who lived here, could vote here. So, why should I give a about some law that some old white man passed in 1920s like, the Immigration and Nationality Act?”

By this logic, if you could call it that, Mystal Blue Persuasion seems to be advocating for the legalization of murder. But hey, what about the Civil War amendments that officially freed the slaves and recognized their citizenship. Meh, I guess the Constitution itself is unconstitutional, eh?! the stupidity is just off the charts, but there you have it. In any case, sorry to inflict that on you, but it is nothing if not illustrative of the mindset, will to power and hubris to presume to have any moral authority that is Leftism.

Have a great day.

And lastly, a quick shout-out and thank you for your continued support in hitting our tip jar. It truly is appreciated more than you can know.

4 Unrelated to the topics posted by JJ...

I saw the start of a video by a woman who wanted to share with the world why she had moved from the US to Norway. Her claim was that she got fed up with the US after the 3rd time she "had to put her students in a closet because there was someone on campus with a gun". Now, I'm not going to say she's a liar but it seems we'd have heard if there was a specific school, possibly outside certain inner cities, so under siege that firearms on campus was a regularly occurring thing.

Of course, right after that, she said that her husband was a Norwegian citizen and she wanted to live with him... which seems more likely. Of course, all the non-US people in the comments were telling her what a poor thing she was to have to endure the violence of that country that everyone on the planet wants to come to.

She says that like it's a bad thing. Now, I'm not a fan of the massive number of executive orders since we know how easily those can be done away with and I would prefer laws be passed. But I am enjoying these little victories.

19 Democrats with the help of some R's are trying to run the same game plan they ran in the 2018 mid terms: Take out enough GOP house members, the GOPe gladly helped with that one in 2018, so Democrats can impeach, with the GOPe getting their hands dirty.

The next move will be to bully enough people in the Senate to convict.

I'm reasonably certain President Trump knows that's the game plan and is 10 steps ahead. He has certainly been way ahead of Democrats this time around.

The Signal non scandal was the trial run. It was obvious the left was trying to create a martyr with the flunky who added the wrong person. That person was supposed to be fired and go on to leak all kinds of nonsense to create a perception of impeachable actions. It didn't work, because there is no Pence on the Trump team.

21 Pundits keep fretting over tariffs. Yesterday on CNBC, one said "what is Trump trying to accomplish by using tariffs?" In a plaintive voice.

Is that some sort of mystery? He is pretty clear on his goals. He wants revenue to reduce deficits, he wants a fair trade system, where American exporters get a chance to sell into foreign markets, and he wants to promote American employment. No mystery at all.

37 Dems are celebrating even the FL results:

Waltz District was a 14% margin. In November 2024, Waltz won by 33%. Gaetz District was a 14.8% margin. Gaetz won in November 2024 by 32%.

Those are gains of 19% & 17.2% (Huge!). If Democrats can do even half that well in the midterms (cut say 9% off Republicans margins everywhere), Democrats will retake the House easily.

Those are HUGE gains! If Democrats can come anywhere close to similar performances across the country in the midterms, Dems will take the House in a landslide.

It still wasn't enough for them to lose. We need to get the foul stench of Fox out of this country. It is literally poisoning everything it touches.

Floriduh will never allow a Democratic candidate to win ever again! The state is rigged to the max! An economic boycott all over Florida will be its downfall on top of climate change disasters being ignored by their government and FEMA. Sorry Disney you are screwed there now!

We'll continue to lose in places like Florida, because we would never and will never call in bomb threats like they did in 2000. Because we don't yet know how to pierce the veil of bullshit and bots. Yet.

Basically, President Trump moved hard to beat the margin of cheat and succeeded.

In other words, they tried but, there were enough boots on the ground Democrat had to seriously limit the obvious cheating.

Unfortunately, with the Wisconsin election, while it may have national implications, it's still a local race and controlled by Wisconsin. I believe.

65 Kilmer co stars in a movie "Kill the Irishman". This is one of those movies that failed theater release but is shown on cable. It's about mob stuff in Cleveland in the 70s, Kilmer plays a Cleveland PD detective. Pretty good overlooked movie with a good cast.

Well, Democrats have been flouting the law without consequence. It's not like they've not broken numerous laws it's they've grown used to not being punished. Whereas Republicans are constantly harassed. However, it's looking very likely Democrats will not be able to avoid consequences for their actions. It will take time to get this done, which I know it sucks but, it is what it is.

Birth control, feminism, homosexuality, transgenderism, "pet moms" and "fur babies", MeToo, toxic masculinity, MGTOW, abortion, war of the sexes, Sex in the City, girl-boss, female preachers, and the list goes on and on and on.

These weren't natural outpourings of society that wound up reflected in the art. Rather, these were subversive writings films, shows, social media memes, that are meant to achieve the desired goal of lower birth rates.

The elites that control banking, media and government strongly desire to see the destruction of western culture, but really, more than that, the want to watch the world burn because they are the enemy of humankind.

Part of it is out of a sense of paranoia and part out of supremacy. They believe their group of elites are justified to do as they please because they are favored and special. In some sense, they are correct, they have risen to power through effort and strategy.

But being supreme in this world will only get you so far. Judgement comes.

According to some, losing these elections portended a mid term blowout so, we should be thrilled. And, by extension, obviously, since R's won, it portends R's increasing their margins in the House.

Reality says: Special elections are always tough because voter turnout just isn't there. Special elections also have no predictive value whatsoever.

Can We Fix Our Demographic Doom Loop?

Probably not.

The Death Cult known as feminism has pretty much won the culture wars.

I, almost literally, have not seen a modern movie, series, TV show where someone, some character doesn't come on screen to say the equivalent of "children suck and babies are the worst thing evah! With agreement for that statement among all the other characters.

Women have been convinced to sacrifice their most fertile years for the grand adventure of a job even if that job is Chief Scooper at the local Pink Berry. Then, maybe, maybe, maybe squeak out one little baby around age 40.

Men have been convinced that jacking off to porn and playing video games all day is superior to marriage and having a wife and family cuz a video game won't take all your stuff in divorce court.

So's who's winning the Demographic Wars?

Welp, take a look at Old Blighty and you'll see all you need to know.

Sad.

156 Morning, news folken! I didn't normally check in during the JJ news, but now I have some time in the mornings. I'm at a coffee shop, waiting for my mechanic to open so he can do some long-needed fluid changes on the Buick.

I see WI still wants to stay full retard. Well, almost, since they approved the Voter-ID law.

Val Kilmer looked older than 65, last I saw him. I recall with fondness and some actor-appreciation awe his performance as Scull, the TExas Ranger officer who goes insane under Indian confinement, in Comanche Moon. In the novel by Larry McMurtry, Scull imagines he has become a flea after being trapped in a pit with millions of them, and Kilmer suggested that beautifully. RIP, sir, and I'm sure you will have grand tales to tell when we meet Up Yonder.

192 Without a resurgence in the Christian church, there will be no salvation for western society, or the world for that matter.

There is no mental justification for anything other than self-interest and pleasure without the Christian ethic of self-sacrifice.

No matter how many shows, movies or internet clips that are produced to try to propagandize Christian-like behavior in society, it will always be a piss-poor facsimile of the real thing.

Liberalism and leftism is what gaslighted goodness looks like. You may not agree with them, but they think they are highly moral people fighting for goodness. They mimic the ethics of fighting for goodness, but without any true North on their compass. They simply fight for what they are told to.

In some ways conservatives are the same, they fight for corporate excess in their misguided belief that unfettered capitalism is virtuous, or they go to war and kill because they think America is virtuous.

So they step over drug addicts and broken people and they cheer on bombs killing people because they think the good side is "winning".

218 Massive economic boom is needed to keep the LIV's on board.

I disagree. A massive economic boom lulls the lo-fo mofos into complacency, thinking that since life is pretty darn good and their wallets are fat, they can afford to be generous and let the Dems have a chance at governance. Meh. Sadly, it's pretty typical for the party that won the last, recent national election to lose competitive special elections, and do poorly in the midterms. Not sure whether it's complacency of the winning side, enthusiasm generated with the losers, or if a significant enough chunk of weirdo voters exist that want divided government.

Trump exacerbates this effect, as his appeal is significantly based on being a Republican party outsider, so many of his voters feel no obligation to vote for general Republicans in these other elections.

Republicans are always either evil or idiotic in the view of the left. Coolidge was, I think, the last GOP president to get a somewhat neutral portrayal in editorial cartoons.

It's interesting to read a collection of cartoons by the overrated Herblock. All his Republicans are evil except for Ike, who's simply a befuddled old man. And he had a special hatred for Nixon.

FRANCE HOLDS EMERGENCY DEFENSE MEETING AS IRAN STRIKE FEARS GROW

Macron convened a rare high-level defense cabinet to address rising fears of a potential U.S. or Israeli strike on Iran’s nuclear sites.

The urgency comes as Trump warns Tehran of bombings and new tariffs unless it returns to nuclear talks. Iran has exceeded 2015 nuclear deal limits, producing enriched uranium near weapons-grade levels—though it denies weapon ambitions.

France, Germany, and the UK are pushing for a last-minute diplomatic breakthrough, but coordination with Washington remains difficult.

298 296 If Trump is the all time party crasher then Obama is the Dems party crasher
He came out of nowhere and tore the Dems apart. I think the problems the Dems are having now are due in large part to him. He crashed the party and shit in the punchbowl

He got them gay marriage and Obamacare, a major step towards government provided Healthcare. Trump's current term is the only time I've ever seen the ratchet of government growth reverse.

Actually, none of the hot women I've known in real life were crazy. But then I never bedded any of them, either.

301 >>Rep.Luna: what's she's supporting is exactly the kind of issue Unions proffer as benefits in a Contract.

It's stupid and self-centered.
At this moment in time, when what this country needs most to survive, she is wasting time on serving her own workplace needs.

I'm sorry, but if you can't manage having a small child while working -- as millions of women do (and have done) every dang day -- then resign. Srsly, get over yourselves, ladies.

Something is wrong with the GOP. Lessons learned, "gifts" of time & hard work are not sticking. Why not?

>Lancaster Online, 'Elon Musk, Scott Presler sound alarm over Republican Josh Parsons’ chances in Tuesday’s state Senate special election' Jaxon White | Staff Writer Mar 22, 2025

In part, "Are Republicans actually worried about Tuesday’s special election in the bright red 36th Senate District?

A GOP activist credited with helping register thousands of new voters last year sounded the alarm in a post to X on March 20: “Pennsylvania, we are currently losing this special election.”

The author is Scott Presler, whose outreach group Early Vote Action has heavily campaigned for the GOP candidate in the race, county Commissioner Josh Parsons.

“I’m very disappointed that Republicans aren’t taking special elections seriously,” wrote Presler. “I can’t do everything.”

Presler’s post got the attention of one of the most important Republicans in the country – Elon Musk, who commented on the post with two exclamation points,

The GOP & fighting to the end. BS. But at least the party has some loud women, too.

308 Good morning and God Bless, JJ.

I am sorry to read of your fender-bender yesterday at the polls but grateful that no one was hurt and that you got to cast your vote for Schimel. We fell short there but won the two open House seats, so mixed bag at best.
As to your other point, I also have been scratching my head as to WHY the GOP always seems late to these state elections and has no forward gameplan where it concerns them. Just look at the reports following November 2024, where it was noted the GOP was sitting on a 500 million dollar warchest that wasn't used. And before other posters cut in and say "they are saving that money for the 2026 midterms," that just doesn't cut it with me! I work 40 hours every week, my net after taxes is $350 less than I should have and I struggle to make ends meet and have a bit extra to spend to enjoy life. And DESPITE my own finances, I gave multiple donations of $10-25 dollars over the past two months towards ALL these elections. If I can stymie my own concerns and donate why in the hell is the RNC and those responsible for campaigns not get more involved?!? Whatley and others need to answer!
