103 Interesting painting and not just for the nudity (although that doesn't hurt). There is a motherly playfulness about Venus but the emphasis is on carnality and the flesh. Venus looks out directly at the viewer. She is the embodiment of physical love and sex and she enjoys that. The detailed tiara and earrings, deep blue of the coverlet and reds of the background further brings out a sensuous aspect to the myth. Lotto took the basic myth and presented it in a humanly physical manner that the viewers could really understand.

Looking at his other works on the Wiki page, I noticed that Lotto's alter pieces and religious themed paintings have the faces averted from the viewer, focussing on the others in the scene. But his portraits usually have the model, like in this work, meeting the viewers' eyes. It makes for a more personal experience. Don't know if that was a common technique of Italian High Renaissance art but Lotto does it so effectively.

Heh. That's closer to the mark than most would guess. Without booze, everyone dies (at least, once you have the witch's brew of high population density and livestock combined with poor sanitation - and sanitation was poor by definition prior to the late 18th century). If you have good and plentiful booze, not *everyone* will die of dysentery and cholera. Then, you conquer.

Property Destruction: Nearly 40% of respondents (39.8%) stated it is at least somewhat acceptable (or more) to destroy a Tesla dealership in protest.

It's an underlying point that no one seems to want to talk about.

If tariffs are so bad, then other countries should be dropping them voluntarily as fast as possible. Trump is signing a 0 tariff deal with Israel today. The press should be holding Bibi up as a model of how to deal with this issue.

And yet...it's just demands for Trump to stop.

Equities have been bubblicious for years and primed for a decline. The only reason it wasn't well underway a year ago was the AI bubble riding to the rescue. We were already primed for both a market decline and a recession well before Trump took over.

I decided to keep an eye on what was going on, and was working on a ceiling A/C unit nearby in the hallway. I heard maniacal laughter and burst through the door. A boy about 10 years old was standing about 5 feet back from the urinal trying to hit it. Only some got there. Stock declines should be expected, as well as some business failures. It's going to take a while to shake out. Once I realized that probably about 90% of USAID's $40 billion budget was going to Democrat cronies, helping to prop up their entire political ecosystem, I realized that my assumptions about how midterms should operate within normal bounds might have been...biased.

Maybe that equivalent of 5 Hollywood years of box office revenue will have negligible impact on how Democrats can run their operations and spread their messages.

Maybe it will represent a very large amount of what they can do in modern day, especially after more than a decade of having relied on that funding structure.

Call your mother, immediately.
Worst day in the market since June 2020.

L. Ron Hubbard (Parody) @FakeLRonHubbard Apr 3
📉 Ah, the market’s shrieking like a banshee in a typhoon, don’t you see? Blood on the charts, Wall Street clutching its pearls—worst day since June 2020. But I tell you plainly: let it burn. The stock market is not our economy. It’s a casino built atop a house of mirrors, propped up by delusion, derivatives, and the daydreams of globalist bankers who never learned how to swing a hammer or plant a field.

Now listen carefully—Trump’s tariffs? Divine intervention. A cosmic correction, ok? While the Wall Street cult whines about short-term losses, real Americans are finally being liberated from the supply-chain leash held by Beijing and its apologists. We’re not here to appease foreign markets or keep the Dow Jones happy. We’re here to rebuild this nation from the bedrock up—steel, oil, wheat, and sovereignty. That’s value, not vibes.

🛠️ These tariffs are a spiritual filter, separating the parasites from the producers. You think a drop in the NASDAQ means anything to the man running a CNC machine in Alabama? Or the family

🛠️ These tariffs are a spiritual filter, separating the parasites from the producers. You think a drop in the NASDAQ means anything to the man running a CNC machine in Alabama? Or the family welding together a pipeline in West Texas? Not a chance. They’re the new vanguard. The chosen class.

💡 So, let Wall Street crash. Let the speculators cry. The market is not our long-term success—it’s a thermometer taped to a fevered corpse. America’s resurrection isn’t found in tech stocks or manipulated earnings calls. It’s found in the factories, the fields, and the flame of self-reliance.

📞 And still—call your mother. Tell her we’re on the right track, even if CNBC says otherwise. She’ll understand. She always does.

335 Years ago had a number of occasions to travel for business to Victoria, British Columbia. Only practical way to fly there was via Air Canada through Vancouver.

Air Canada had like four flights a day, but not enough passengers to fill them, so the first two or three flights of the day would have "nose wheel problems" that delayed them so the full load of passengers could be held up and flown on the last one or two flights!

It was literally always the nosewheel... they didn't even try to hide it, and everyone knew the scam.

So folks like me figured out we could fly back and forth on Helijet Airways, in a sexy Sikorsky S-76, for only a little more, BUT could avoid a hotel fee and still work a full day! So eventually Air Canada lost all those passengers and all but two of the routes.

And let me tell you, the flight through the Gulf Islands at 3000 feet was spectacular! One afternoon the pilot came on the intercom and asked "Anybody in a hurry? Or would you like to watch some whales?"... and down we went to circle around an Orca pod at a couple hundred feet!!

Those choppers are noisy as shit though!
