That leftists are doing these senseless acts of violence however illustrates the mindlessness and bankruptcy of their movement. It has nothing but violence and hate to drive it. In an authoritarian society this violence and hate might lead to power and rule, but not in America. We still remain a nation of laws and rule by election. Violence and hate only leads to arrests and prosecution, fully supported by the general public. And it only lowers the support for any movement that engages in such barbaric behavior. Thus, this vandalism and swatting are merely the short term manifestations of a dying movement. As these thugs get prosecuted and sentenced to prison, the attacks will fade. And at that point, either the left will finally start to reassess its actions and policies, or it will die as a political movement. Don’t expect any reassessment, however. That the left has now descended to this idiocy indicates its inability to self-assess. It is so certain it is right that it thinks shooting itself in the foot is a sure way to win new adherents. Keep it up, Democrats! We on the right are thrilled you are proving yourselves to be this stupid.
All of this has created what appears to be a large circular firing squad between the old guard Democrats like Schumer et al and the crazy in your face anti-American Maoist Mau-maus like Titty-Caca Ocasio-Cortez and her ilk. All I can say is pass the popcorn while they openly expose themselves to a perhaps heretofore disinterested or blind majority of Americans who can no longer choose or are able to turn away. And as Trump's domestic and foreign policy successes will show in the coming months and years of his term, voting for anything other for America first candidates and policies is insanity. OF course, the now nakedly corrupt judiciary, especially at the lower levels and horribly underscored by the Supreme Court's refusal to reign them in, as well as Congress which despite a slim GOP majority also lacks the will to exercise its whip hand against an overreaching Judiciary. Naturally, the Democrats in both chambers are not going to be of any use. And on a not unrelated note, we have a very crucial special election a week from tomorrow here in my new home state of Wisconsin which has national repercussions. Yes symbolically it's being touted by the usual propagandist hacks as a referendum on Donald Trump. It's for a seat on the State Supreme Court.
The most important election of the year arrives April 1, and will decide who controls the Wisconsin Supreme Court. The race pits Brad Schimel, the former Republican Attorney General, against Susan Crawford, a judge from heavily leftist Dane County. With the recent retirement of progressive justice Ann Walsh Bradley, the state’s highest court now stands deadlocked, with three conservatives and three liberals, so the winner will be the tie-breaking vote in what might be the swingiest of the swing states. The election has nationwide implications, in more ways than one. Democrats are attempting to make the race a referendum on President Trump’s most potent ally, Elon Musk. Here in Wisconsin, the party is currently running an ad that barely mentions Schimel — but instead attacks Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency. . . Musk has pumped millions of dollars into groups backing Schimel, so if Democrats successfully paint the conservative candidate as a Musk puppet, this strategy will undoubtedly spread nationwide. If liberals succeed in defeating Schimel based on DOGE’s handiwork, it might actually be Democrats who keep Musk in the news to use his influence as a talking point in the 2026 midterms. . . . . . The contest is also an early look at how voters feel about Trump’s second term. The president has won Wisconsin twice — each time with fewer than 20,000 votes, or less than 1% of the statewide tally.
Trump endorsed Schimel on Friday, calling Crawford a “Radical Left Liberal” who has been soft on crime, and effectively tying Schimel to his own agenda. “And if she wins, the Movement to restore our Nation will bypass Wisconsin,” Trump warned. A Marquette University Law School poll conducted in February showed Wisconsin residents split on Trump’s job performance, with 51% disapproving and 48% approving. (Musk fared worse: Only 41% of respondents viewed him favorably.)
The race also might indicate how much swing-state voters will be hearing about abortion in the near future. Democrats are pitching Schimel as an abortion extremist: In Wisconsin, pro-abortion activists have been unsuccessful in rescinding an 1849 law that bans abortion in the state. A 4-3 liberal state court majority would almost certainly do so.
But while Democrats have counted on abortion as a big election-winning issue in the post-Roe world, Republicans like Trump continue to win statewide here. If it fails to take out Schimel, liberals may be forced to drop abortion as their silver-bullet issue. And of course, Schimel’s election could thwart Democrats’ hopes of pushing changes through the courts that they can’t pass in the GOP-majority state legislature. A glance at the calendar shows that a week from Tuesday just happens to be April Fool's day. Given the nature of what the Democrats are doing to themselves, let's hope that that is a good omen for our side. If the best they can do is manufacture astroturfed rallies for Bernie and Titty-Caca where the two of them wind up sniping at each other, well pass the tree bark soup, call me Rocket Man, and let me warm myself by the glow of a burning Tesla dealership.
Not taking any chances, given what happened here in 2020 via the election thievery, so I will go out either today or tomorrow and vote early if not often and I urge all of my fellow Wisconsonians to do the same. So is it any wonder that a 'historically accurate' meme game called Yasuke Simulator is murdering it?

This is why we need to outlaw and permanently ban public unions and defined benefit pensions - because the recipients of those funds will do stupid shit that destroys their investments and the consequence is that the now underfunded pensions will be underwritten by larger tax extractions from the private sector.

I have thought for many year that the purpose of define pensions was to run up a bill so big that it would be sent to the Federal Government to pay.
No pension plan ever has really tried to collect and invest with a goal of being able to pay out in 40 years.

Brad Schimel is a good guy. He was my classmate at the UW law school. We had a few beers together. Went to his wedding. He is just a 100% Wisconsin. Susan was my classmate undergrad at Lawrence University. She was my girlfriend when we were teenagers. Haven't talked to either of them in decades, so I guess it is possible one or both have become crazed political monsters. But marriage and parenthood usually have the opposite effect, so I doubt it. Both have the intelligence and experience to do the job. It is crazy, I mean CRAZY, to hear people talking about them as far-right fascist or radical left. The best thing I saw this weekend was the NCAA wrestling championships. Trump attended the final round and got cheered
But the highlight by far was “Captain America” heavyweight Wyatt Hendrickson (2LT USAF) defeating (shocking) Gable Stevenson in the biggest upset since USA hockey’s miracle on ice in 1980. Going into that match it was unthinkable that Stevenson could lose… he got taken down with 20 seconds to go in the match. Incredible

I personally don't think the Democrats are coming unglued. They're going through the same "growing pains" the GOP is experiencing. It's just that by nature, the left is more, uh... excitable than the conservative base.

According to Big Bang Theory (as I understand it), once the galaxy cooled enough following the event, there was almost exclusively hydrogen... with a bit of helium. All heavier elements were created in stars (and the heavier the element, the longer it takes) and then freed into the larger universe via supernovas (which created the really heavy elements).

Well I don't necessarily agree that the appeals process won't work. It already has in a couple of cases. Just yesterday the DEI group that sued asked the appeals court to drop their case, not how the process works, because they knew they were going to lose and didn't want their case to be dead. And as I noted above Trump just deported another 200 illegals to Venezuela last night.
The shit Boasberg and crew are doing isn't a close call stuff. They are clearly trying to violate Trump's Article II powers under the Constitution. Roberts is an establishment hump but if he allows the courts to start openly violating the Constitution and making themselves the President I think Trump will defy him.

Hubbymayhem and I were driving to the diner for breakfast when out ahead of us, Mr. Law Enforcement hits the lights and pulls over behind the citizen. Citizen gets far over away from traffic on the wide area beside the road. Mr. Law Enforcement does not. He just pulls over, barely off the road and throws that door open and steps right out with traffic coming from behind him. Ensuring that all cars must swerve in to the other oncoming lane to avoid clipping the police vehicle door (which was left open) or hitting Mr. Law Enforcement.

It seems like everytime there's a SWATing event the cops have absolutely no clue who called, where the call came from or anything else. Yet... a quick reverse lookup of the purported address and who lived there, and what their phone number was would be.... revealing.
Yet, this apparently is never done.
But the call to "roll out" is quick and the cops are able to muster a small army in less than 15 minutes. But can't or won't do a little due diligence before hand.

I'm very ambivalent about judges running for a seat on the bench. The judiciary is bad enough without turning them into pols.

I believe that if the phantom voter fraud exists, it would be heaviest in heavily blue areas. This would skew the national popular vote which, given the fixation of the Left on it, sounds like the basic goal.

Mrs. BD and I have been roaming around Israel's Upper Galilee region throughout the day. I took this distant pic of Mt. Hermon at around 8:30AM this morning:

Mt. Hermon is the northmost point in Israel. It's also Israel's highest elevation point. Our one and only ski resort is located there.
The peaks on the right are the "Syrian" Hermon, which Israel RETOOK about 2 months ago after the collapse of the Assad regime.
When Israel has a good amount of precipitation in the winter, you can still find patches of snow at the top of the Hermon through June. This year's rains were less than usual - so far.
One last pic: we lunched at one of the Galil's (Galilee) wineries, enjoying fresh baked bread, a cheese platter and a salad, along with some Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay (go away, Kamala!).
Afterward we visited another winery, Recanati. They have a beautiful visitors center, whose large veranda offers a lovely view:
