42 I have a prayer request, . please. A young friend of mine- "C" well younger"-in her early 30's was just in the hospital probably for depression. I haven't gotten all the details yet because she just texted me to say she was released and I didn't know she had gone in . Anyway, she has the intense job of being an addictions counselor and is a very bright, caring RC woman. It's sounds like a very stressful job. She needs healing and that rough places be made smooth. Thanks.

I will probably tell her that it might be helpful to stay off social media and news . She always knows the latest political happenings which is not always a good thing for one's state of mind.

Apparently, this was not uncommon and 23AndMe had a counseling protocol for it. A friend found a full brother he didn't know existed, resulting from his parents pre-marriage pregnancy, and the baby adopted. Thanksgiving dinners happily expanded.

101 The thing about 23andMe is that if any of your relatives gives their DNA to a database then the authorities now basically have your DNA as well.

That’s how they’ve caught a few serial killers already.

Not that anybody around here has anything to worry about, but ya know, sometimes mistakes can happen.

So who knows shat will happen in the future with DNA databases but do you trust big gov & big corp with your DNA sequences?

I’ve never given my DNA to a corp, but some cousins have, I’m sure.

The scientists couldn’t figure out why they vanished so suddenly until DNA came along and they discovered they hadn’t really vanished, they were basically conquered by Cro-Magnon people from the south and the women and girls were taken for slaves.

Properly used, DNA in the hands of law enforcement should only be able to say "No". That is, DNA doesn't prove that a person was at the crime scene, it can only say this person wasn't.

When TV says "The DNA is a match", its a writer's crutch to get the Who-Done-It wrapped up in forty-four minutes.

Just got back from my morning run and saw your question.

When I got my new phone, "RCS Chats" was turned on, and it was interfering with my standard SMS messages getting in/out of my phone.

Here's where it is on my phone:
{ Messages button on my home screen/desktop }
{ Click the upper right circle with the first letter of your first name }

Scroll down and find the gear, "Messages Settings". Click that.

There should be an "RCS Chats" line. Click that.

Turn off the "Turn on RCS chats" setting.

Now all messaging is strictly SMS messaging through your phone provider.

Note: You can also find this setting by clicking the main settings Gear icon for Android, and then use the search line to search for: RCS
