The odalisque was a popular image at the time. Jean-Baptiste Ingres used/reused them in a lot of his art. They were a romantic image, being depictions of "oriental" haram girls, but also classical in that they were beautiful and idealized. One of Ingres most famous odalisques lounges in a pose similar to this. It's a Venusian pose of beauty, sexuality, and seduction. This pose can be seen in works by Titian, Canova and Manet, as well as on the Elgin Marbles of the Parthenon.

Normal looking woman. Average physique. Shaved pits. Not a beauty but not unprepossessing. Her feet look dirty. The muted color palette makes this seem calm, quiet, and sort of restful. @FenelonSpoke (your #71 in the tech thread): "Maybe I asked this before, but I can't recall the answer. Is there a technical reason why some people receive my text messages and some don't?"
Just got back from my morning run and saw your question. When I got my new phone, "RCS Chats" was turned on, and it was interfering with my standard SMS messages getting in/out of my phone. Here's where it is on my phone: { Messages button on my home screen/desktop } { Click the upper right circle with the first letter of your first name } Scroll down and find the gear, "Messages Settings". Click that. There should be an "RCS Chats" line. Click that. Turn off the "Turn on RCS chats" setting. Now all messaging is strictly SMS messaging through your phone provider. Nobody likes a bad picture or painting of themselves, but the one in Colorado, in the State Capitol, put up by the Governor, along with all other Presidents, was purposefully distorted to a level that even I, perhaps, have never seen before. The artist also did President Obama, and he looks wonderful, but the one on me is truly the worst. She must have lost her talent as she got older. In any event, I would much prefer not having a picture than having this one, but many people from Colorado have called and written to complain. In fact, they are actually angry about it! I am speaking on their behalf to the Radical Left Governor, Jared Polis, who is extremely weak on Crime, in particular with respect to Tren de Aragua, which practically took over Aurora (Don’t worry, we saved it!), to take it down. Jared should be ashamed of himself! -------- Tell me about it! Is anyone else really, really hot right now?? Chuck Schumer rejects calls to step down as Senate Democratic leader WASHINGTON — A defiant Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer vowed that he won’t step aside as the chamber’s top Democrat, rejecting calls from some House colleagues and liberal advocates critical of his move to help pass a Republican funding bill. It’s up to Democratic senators to choose their leader, and none of them have called on Schumer to quit a post that he has held for more than eight years. But some have entertained questions about whether it’s time for a re-examination. Sen. Michael Bennet, D-Colo., told a constituent at a town hall last week that “we’re going to have future conversations about all the Democratic leadership.” Schumer also rejected comparisons to then-President Joe Biden’s refusal to step down as the 2024 nominee, in response to a question about whether he’s making the same mistake. https://is.gd/GdBpSG Posted by: Archimedes at March 24, 2025 10:16 AM (xCA6C) 143

132 you can't claim a child that you are paying support?
WTF? ******************* As with many things regarding IRS code, the answer is, it depends. Non-custodial parents can still claim the child as a dependent for tax purposes, but there's several conditions that must be satisfied. Or, get the ex-spose to sign the exemption over to the non-custodial parent using a special IRS form, the number of which I can't recall off the top of my head. She was only 43 years old and had announced her resignation three days before Trump became president. Clot shot 2. She investigated and found some seriously hinky shit concerning child exploitation and abuse of someone famous and connected. They are 10 years more advanced on FSD (self driving). At some point GM or Daimler or Ford or VW will need to make a play and licensing TSLA would cut 10 years of their time to launch. Ford sales about 4 million cars annually. Lets say TSLA can get 5000 for a license. Thats 20,000,000,000 a year just selling software. Adds about 25% to their gross at almost 100% profit margin. It's often complicated because tax implications are usually a term of the divorce agreement or decree. But they nonetheless often get breached as soon as the ink is dry. No matter what is agreed to, or what the judge orders, it's almost always a hot bone of contention as soon as tax season rolls around. Especially if the ex-spouses are still pissed and bitter.
Posted by: Elric Blade at March 24, 2025 10:55 AM (iFTx/) Either way, both parties are paying so is this suggesting both parties can claim? Posted by: Piper at March 24, 2025 10:57 AM (p4NUW) ________ Usually the beef is that Ex-Spouse X -- usually the one who thinks they got the short end of the tax benefits -- thinks the other side isn't deserving and/or not doing what they agreed to do, and therefore X should get more of the tax benefits. Also, you may be surprised how vague some divorce agreements/orders are -- and often deliberately so -- so enable the case to be closed and off the calendar. The judge and/or lawyers think "eh, fuck it, they can argue about this later." Posted by: Elric Blade at March 24, 2025 11:02 AM (iFTx/) 282
