Of Course: German Intelligence Rated It as 80-95% Likely that Covid-19 Was Manufactured in the Wuhan Lab (But Kept It Secret All These Years)

From David Strom: You don't hate the Regime enough.

For five years, the Federal Intelligence Service (BND) has assumed that the coronavirus originated in a Chinese laboratory. The BND classifies the laboratory theory as "probable" and is "80 to 95 percent" certain. Since then, the German government has kept secret the BND's findings that the virus originated in the biolab in Wuhan . This is reported by NZZ, Zeit, and Süddeutsche Zeitung.

To date, it remains officially unclear whether the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus is of natural origin or originated in a laboratory. Despite intensive research, no intermediate host has been identified that naturally transmitted the pathogen from animals to humans. At the same time, controversial experiments at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) that supported the laboratory theory came into focus.

Virologists meeting at the foreign intelligence service?

According to reports, several scientists at the German foreign intelligence service, the Federal Intelligence Service, have been meeting in recent weeks, initiated by the Federal Chancellery. The first meeting took place last year, with the participation of renowned virologists. A central topic of these discussions was the possible origin of the virus. According to Zeit, the Federal Chancellery has been keeping relevant information under wraps for five years.

Strom quotes from the Daily Mail, which has additional details:

In Wuhan, the BND agents 'struck gold,' coming 'as close to the origins of the pandemic... as possible in China,' German media Die Zeit reported.

They found unpublished dissertations from 2019 and 2020 that allegedly discussed the effects of coronaviruses on the human body.

Additionally, uncovered materials revealed Chinese scientists had 'an unusually large amount of knowledge about the supposedly novel virus available at an unusually early stage.'

Based on the materials BND agents found and analyzed, they used a 'Probability Index' to measure the reliability of information, which determined the lab-leak theory was 'probable' with an '80 to 95 percent' certainty.

Further, the agents also accused Chinese scientists of actively carrying out dangerous experiments with the deadly coronavirus MERS.

54 I followed several post-docs on social media at the time. These were accounts that did informal discussions of new and topical papers. ("Journal clubs" are a common practice in universities and research labs, kind of like a bible study for nerds)

Early on, in the ones I followed, origin was a hot topic and the data was overwhelming that this was man made. But then that Origins paper came out and about that time all the people I followed went dark. It was very clear that their PI or adviser told them to fall in line and *never* go against the industry that funds them.

My point is that the entire research industry is corrupt and needs to be shut down. Pharmacology, virology, medical research,... the few good men among them were fired and the rest are dirty.

I don't think you can see it any other way. One made-up and supposedly unattainable metric after another put up by the Uniparty, to show that "Trump failed".

Not enough ventilators!! So Trump had several manufacturers repurpose and crank out thousands...

Running out of hospital beds!! So Trump parked a hospital ship off Manhattan, which Gov "Murder the Elderly" Cuomo refused to use, and give Trump a win, and so parked all the Covid in nursing homes..." etc etc etc

I generally agree, with the caveat that it was an awfully convenient coincidence that the virus came along right when the Left needed to finish off Trump. As did the Chinese since he was making them pay economically for all their cheating in trade matters. And I don't believe in coincidences.

Why hasn't that been done after this "leak"? How could we take measures when we were told it was not a leak by people who knew it was?

Why wasn't anyone concerned about how the leak happened, and how to make sure it never does again. MILLIONS are dead and injured not thousands. It was a release.

People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Professor Zhou Yusen, Director of the 5th Institute at the Academy of Military Medical Sciences (AMMS) did a header off the roof of a Wuhan Laboratory Institute. He was known to have been involved with the research there.

So:

In my little town, anticipating thousands of infections that would overwhelm the medical facilities, they took over the fairground and opened a battlefield-like hospital with hundreds of beds at the ready and staffed 24/7 with medical personnel. It served, I believe, one patient, who was there for reasons completely unconnected to hospital overflow -- which never happened. They closed it after six weeks with barely a whisper in local news. I think it was chosen precisely for that reason, because it sounds like a vaguely good thing. Kinda like saying "pro-choice" instead of "pro-abortion."

Remember when most of the pro-choice people rallied around the notion that you had no right to refuse a "medical treatment" they wanted you to get?

I still suspect a small part of the reason R v W got overturned was so many "government out of my healthcare" people demanding people that didn't want the government controlling their healthcare be sent to concentration camps...

The Omicron variant was very interesting. Seemed to be much *older* than even the original CoV-2 version that first came out.

There is a conspiracy theory that Omicron was just an earlier version they were working on in the lab, not nearly as deadly as the strain that leaked, but yet could confer natural immunity to all the strains.

And thus, the theory goes, it was intentionally released as the real vaccine.

243 Interesting. My vet was here doing horse vaccines today and somehow we got onto hanta virus and general human resp. viruses and covid. He got the initial J&J vaccine and was going to get a Moderna booster, but got covid a week before, then was going to get the booster a few weeks after recovery before working Stock Show and he said his doctor told him "you should not take any more covid boosters/vaccines, they aren't telling us everything, and you have natural immunity that is as good as the vaccine now".

And I always wonder when stories like this break if it is because they knew the curtain was going to pulled aside and expose them or if they are just releasing "Squirrel!" to distract from their current malfeasance.

Doctors I can imagine, but the research scientists were the ones -- it says 85-90% of the Germans -- who knew the score.

It just kills me that the politicians and totalitarians are never afraid to stand up. Other people are.

312 Bill, Hantavirus doesn't seem to be a thing in the east. Probably the humidity dampens the effect, I'm not just punning. But Hantavirus is a lot more serious than covid unless there are mild cases that never get identified, and it is not some special mice that only live in NM and Colorado that carry it, the common mice that get into houses are carriers, so living in 10% humidity I get germ phobic for mouse droppings and spray with bleach solution before wiping them up. Its kept me alive so far.

317 I still don't get why there wasn't a revolt of the scientists. It seems like all of them around the entire world knew the truth. If they'd all stood up, it would have been the manipulative politicians and the superstitious masses who'd have been shamed and exiled.

Scientists are status seeking a-holes too! Probably moreso than the general population.
Posted by: InZona at March 14, 2025 03:24 PM (d6NYJ)

Some scientists want the limelight like your Sagans. A lot more want regular grants from the government. Its like having the government holding your wife and children in a gulag.

That's why there is a huge problem with bogus research into failed theories. A theory is proven wrong, the theoreticians just jiggle the theory and make it untestable for the next 20 years and they get paid while they wait.

318 Of course one of the unstated purposes of the covid op was seeing how far the government could go with absurd mandates and still get the majority of the public to comply with them. And force others to as well.

All one needs to do is control the heads of various agencies, and the entire flock will do what they are told. A few early examples of scientists disagreeing and losing their jobs was quite effective as a countermeasure.

I don't think that is how it went down precisely given their initial panicking. Once it was out, it was used to attack Trump like 98 percent of everything.

But the issue with the 'test run' is that it doesn't mean that people will react the same way the next time. Even the germophobes over Covid hardly reacted to Omicron Covid, they were collecting boosters like candy anyhow.

The Biden years show that the modern elites don't really plan anything well. Even the Ukraine War and sanctions plan they had was riddled with flaws and failed utterly from the start because sanctions actually boosted the Russian economy from the start.
