Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Morning Report — 3/ 5 /25![]() To underscore this are several breaking stories including the fact that Pissant Pysanky Zelensky is crawling back to Trump and begging forgiveness for sabotaging the negotiations last week, contra the narrative from the virtually nearly completely discredited propaganda press. The public's distrust now at historic levels is also a big accomplishment for Trump. Breaking early this morning is the news of the capture of the ISIS Muslim terrorist behind the Islamikaze suicide bombing of the Kabul Abbey Gate that left 13 Yanks blasted to smithereens when Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants and company decided on a snap bug out from Afghanistan. We also have news of a major chip manufacturer as well as Honda repatriating jobs back to the USA thanks to Trump's tariffs. Nearly $1 Trillion in foreign investments coming to our shores since Trump was sworn in. Of course, Al Green, not the wonderful gospel/R&B Singer, but the sub-literate Olduvai Gorge mutant/escapee with the intellectual agility of an amoeba who poses as a congressman was emblematic of Democrat crudeness, boorishness, petulance and general coarseness. Of course, en masse, the sitting on their hands when Donald Trump made a young boy suffering from terminal brain cancer an honorary Secret Service agent speaks volumes as to who and what the Democrats are. A Pox on our House going back over two hundred years. In normal times, the run-up to a presidential address to Congress would be filled with reports and guesses about what the president would say. There was plenty of that this week, but an inordinate amount of the focus in Washington was on how Democrats would react to Donald Trump. How many would boycott? How would the members dress? Would they hoot and holler, or maybe march out in an organized pro-test? In the end, it didn’t matter. They were a sad, shrunken presence, especially after one of their main stooges, Rep. Al Green of Texas, got himself ejected early on by repeatedly interrupting. He was the lucky one. Those Dems who stayed were like fish out of water, waving their silly little paddles and representing nothing except resistance to whatever Trump said or did. . . . . . Calling them a clown show is an insult to clowns. They earned their trip to the political wilderness and Tuesday proved they are not yet ready to emerge as a constructive opposition party. Meanwhile, the president they love to hate put on a show for the ages. No commander in chief in modern times has seized the reins of power with such gusto and delivered such immediate results. True to form, Trump wasn’t shy about saying so. . . . . We are witnessing a president at the top of his game. Clear-eyed and confident about himself and his agenda, he put on a master class in presidential leadership in what was a speech for the ages. Most times, a political address of 90 minutes would feel like an eternity. In the hands of Trump, it felt like a well-paced adventure through the dreams, hopes and tragedies of the people inhabiting the most important nation on Earth. The Trump on that stage is not just the dominant figure in American life. In six short weeks, he has put our nation at the center of the world and made America important again. . . . . . But while having a period of being in the opposition is pretty much par for political life, rarely do we see an entire party desperately searching for relevance. That’s where the Dems are. They are irrelevant because they stand for nothing except they are against everything Trump is for. There’s no future in that and their sad performance Tuesday night proved they have learned nothing. I would say it's not that the Democrats have learned nothing. They will always be the seat and party of evil, anti-American, anti-Judeo/Christian, anti-Western Enlightenment tyranny. The question is have the American people or will the American people as a whole or at least many more than ever before finally learn this over the next four years. That is the crucial question. Being in the poolitical wilderness is generally a temporary situation. What is required is for a sea change in the American psyche that will take hold and sprout over the course of the next several generations of Americans. There must be an American Renaissance similar to what our Founders put forth from 1776 and 1789 so that another progressive/Leftist counter-revolution can never succeed again. 7 If accurate, interesting note about the Derek Chauvin case:
https://tinyurl.com/5xcbc77p Posted by: Biden's Dog sniffs a whole lotta malarkey, at March 05, 2025 07:32 AM (OT+cA) That one issue should have been easy to refute at trial, though I doubt it would have helped Chauvin much. The only thing I could really fault Chauvin on in the situation was the length of time he held Floyd down and prevented his fellow officers from starting first aid AFTER "St. George" lost consciousness. Over at that prevailing winds site I linked in the tech thread (earth.nullschool.net) there's a "warning" message the site admin is showing when you bring up the page for the first time:
"Weather and climate data shown on this website and countless others are at risk. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is the U.S. agency responsible for global weather forecasting, hurricane prediction, ocean observation, and many other services vital to public safety. Its satellites, supercomputers, and research teams provide essential data that help us understand our planet and protect lives. On February 27, the new U.S. administration initiated mass firings at NOAA. These actions are unethical and deeply disruptive to the talented scientists and engineers who dedicate themselves to the public good. The firings, along with expected budget cuts, have serious implications for the availability and quality of weather forecasts produced by the United States. They must be reversed immediately. "... While I'll strive to keep all features on this website functional and switch to alternative data sources if necessary, some datasets have no substitute if they go offline.

Anyway, it is extremely flammable. However, it is “protected” under Cali rules and regulations and policies in the same way Redwood or Sequoia. Totally asinine. For all the talk about how Trump is rhetorically reckless, in fact, the opposite is true. He says things no one else will say, and says them in ways no one else will say them, but he is rarely wrong.

This is something the open borders lunatics never address. Automation and AI make a whole lot of jobs obsolete or unnecessary. Unskilled, low paying jobs, entry level work. Why then, are millions of unskilled being purposely imported?
There aren’t enough jobs for the citizenry. Labor statistics are not accurate. Millions on “food stamps” “snap” or “ebt”. The "National Hurricane Center" used to lease space a small office building on Dixie Hwy in Coral Gables. Musk's actual ambition is eventually to hit 1,000 Mars flights in a 30-day window. My back-of-the-envelope math (thanks again, Grok!) indicates a need for somewhere between 184 (the most optimistic launch cadence) and 734 (least optimistic) launch towers. Plus all the infrastructure — fuel storage and transfer, ground crews and their needs, etc. — required to support them.[/]

There must be an American Renaissance similar to what our Founders put forth from 1776 and 1789 so that another progressive/Leftist counter-revolution can never succeed again.
------------- +1 IIRC, Ayn Rand believed the same -- and created a publishing house called "Second Renaissance Press" to help foster the rebirth of reason and the Aristotelian spirit that she believed was going to be a significant cultural shift and reaction to the neo-Left of the 60's (as described in her essays & subsequent book "The Return of the Primitive: The Anti-Industrial Revolution"). @WesternLensman Adam Schiff, the man who cries incessantly about Trump, says Trump has a victimhood complex: “He views the whole world through the prism of victimhood. This, you know, born into wealth. Guy considers himself the biggest victim. He considers America nothing but a victim. For a party that decries victimhood, I've never seen so much appeal to being victims." “Posing as a victim doesn't really make America great. It just makes America look weak." They have stated that America is the cause of most of the world’s problems. That it is not exceptional and never has been. That it is racist and homophobic. That it is environmentally destroying the earth. That it’s history of slavery can never be forgiven and proves the founders were evil. They vote against American interests . Sure, Trump doesn't do soaring rhetoric or intellectual gymnastics out there - if that kind of polished oratorical style is what you're looking for, you'll be disappointed.
But his style works for most people. He knows how to work a room, big time. Though it was a very good speech, yesterday's speech wasn't a great example of it, because sometimes Trump has to play a room where everyone literally hates him like the devil. But watch him play a room where people like him... It's captivating, no question about it. Preachers and standup comics and motivational speakers are green with envy, I'm sure. The slow walk to fascism just broke into a sprint, as silent Dems sit on their hands or hold their little signs. If a unified democratic congress chanted at the top of their lungs bullshit over and over, the orange asshole would get a hard taste of reality and would be put off his game and rattled. We were once the party that fought hard and took no shit from anyone. That party hasn’t existed for a very very long time.
All they are doing is normalizing him. Their side doesn’t give one single shit about rules, laws, decorum etc. Trump is failing with the public. Why take attention away from that by creating a distraction? Carville said Democrats do not need to be "aggressive" in combating the Trump administration because "Poll numbers are declining. The collapse is already underway." trump doesn't give one shit about polling, or how people feel. He wants to be a dictator. Carville can go piss up a rope. He’s still stuck in the past and thinks that “good ideas" will win the day. The only effective means of dealing with fascists is to kill them. If they aren't real fascists, normal elections are enough. One wonders whether anyone who says that is actually familiar with the 10 Commandments and the Bill of Rights (as well as the main body of the Constitution). One says you have to have a certain religion; the other says you are free to believe whatever the F you want. They are literally inconsistent. Jews and Christians at least both have the 10 Commandments, although Jesus overidded them with his "love thy neighbor" stuff. So Christianity has its own consistency problems. The primary theme of the Book of Hebrews, in the Christian New Testament, is how all of Christianity is based upon and flows from the previous scriptures, aka the Law and the Prophets. It’s hardly a new thought. The great theological difference is that Christians hold that Christ was the fulfillment of the Law, and thus created a new Covenant.

My first grandchild is due in about 15 days. My son works for the DoD. He and his lady got married last June and are getting ready to move in to their new home right next door to us. A few years ago I told him I had never believed our government could collapse and our military would fire on innocent civilians until then. And I did believe that. Now, watching all that Trump is doing and how he is pushing, pulling, bullying, and inspiring the Republicans in Congress and the Senate, I feel some hope for my country, my kids, and my grandkids future. God is good. Posted by: Madame Mayhem (uppity wench) at March 05, 2025 09:27 AM (4XwPj) 436

It was a wonderful evening and a powerful speech by President Trump.
I watched the Dims herd out like sheep, no insult to sheep, as fast as their liberal legs could carry them, clogging the exit like the capitol was on fire. It was an the flames blown by the truth from the podium. Pelosi was at the bottom of the stairs with her scarf/cane and not one of these friends of hers were helping. I would think she'd still be there, but remembered that President Trump or VP Vance would have helped the elderly traitor with denture issues. It was grand. Good morning, all, and thanks, J.J.
What a wonderful, uplifting Presidential speech of action, hope and promise last evening, and covering only weeks of his 2nd administration! OTOH - No matter what the Congressional broads in pink claim, they looked like Code Pink groupies. Shame on them. And Congressman Al Green of the Black Caucus - in which the women wore black for the occasion - kicked off "The Resistance." No, not being facetious. >Forbes, The Congressional Black Caucus Lays Foundation For Movement As President Trump Gives Joint Congressional Address, By Richard Fowler, March 5, 2025 In part, "On the evening of March 4, the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC)—representing 60 members of the U.S. House of Representatives—held a gathering with Forbes and other members of the press just steps away from House chambers." ... And, "We’re building a foundation for the movement to organize around it," Rep. Summer Lee (D-PA-12) said. I'm guessing that means no to eliminating DEI curriculum in many states - unless really "public facing" & then add some camouflage - and don't dare cut the multitude of programs being 'covered' by the Inflation Reduction Act and/or the ARP. From above, 'The High Costs of Climate Scams: Assessing the Green Giveaways in the Inflation Reduction Act'
Not only climate scams within but the entire Inflation Reduction Act & The American Rescue Plan must be quickly assessed as they're intertwined to some degree. The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 is designed to last for 10 years, for many of its provisions, but the extended Affordable Care Act subsidies and prescription drug price negotiations are set to expire around 2025. (AI) Yes, it also has provisions related to renewable energy and, through at least 2025, provides some Tax Credits. (epa dot gov/green-power-markets) And there'll be hell to pay when any/all expire. Who thrives under the Inflation Reduction Act? Many such as, but not limited to, the non-profits National League of Cities; the United States Conference of Mayors; the International City/County Management Association; International Municipal Lawyers Association; the National Conference of State Legislatures; the Council of State Governments, and National Association of Counties, AND their Foundations to which they can direct $ for research, education, etc. Posted by: L - Another fine day at March 05, 2025 11:03 AM (NFX2v) 474
The American Rescue Plan also provided temporary increased subsidies for health insurance marketplace plans, aiming to make coverage more affordable during the COVID-19 pandemic. (AI) (Side note: There were also substantial bail outs of many US multi-employer unions & $$$ for the federal government’s digital infrastructure.)
The subsidies for healthcare under the ARP were quite generous. The IRA extended the ARPA provision, including the enhanced Premium Tax Credits, through 2025. However, as per the Government Finance Officers Association, there were specific restrictions on the uses of these funds. Further, all unspent and unobligated funds must be returned to the federal government in 2025, and jurisdictions have until December 31, 2026 to fully expend their funds. And so, there's a bunch of reasons for the Democratic Congress' color coordinated garb and paddles, "Save Medicare," among others, and the formal launch of "Resistance" last evening. (Money based reactions for they care of nothing else.) >NPR, Politics, Follow NPR's annotated fact check of President Trump's address to Congress., Mar 4, 2025 Follow this page tonight for an annotated fact check... Why SCOTUS Should Nuke ‘No-Speech Zones’ Once And For All
We fret that SCOTUS has too much power, yet depend on that same SCOTUS to find unconstitutional laws like these. It's a conundrum. Congress passes bad bills that bad presidents sign, and SCOTUS says is unconstitutional and we cheer. But at the same time, SCOTUS, in Marbury v. Madison, took on the power of deciding the constitutionality of the law. And SCOTUS makes bad decisions (Dred Scott v. Sanford, USA v. Miller, Korematsu v. USA, Roe v. Wade, Plessy v. Ferguson, Buck v. Bell, USA v. Cruikshank, NFIB v. Sebelius, Wickard v. Filburn, Kelo v. New London come to mind). Posted by: jim (in Kalifornia) at March 05, 2025 01:20 PM (ynpvh) 476
Perhaps Andrew Jackson had the right answer (although his was for the wrong reason): Ignore bad SCOTUS precedent. I guess it goes to the statement by John Adams:
"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." We, in general, are no longer enough of a moral or religious people, and the Left has worked for more than the last hundred years making this the case. Posted by: jim (in Kalifornia) at March 05, 2025 01:23 PM (ynpvh) 477
I would say the Left has worked on this since antebellum times, given how far back some of the bad SCOTUS precedents go. It's just been worse the last 125 years.
Posted by: jim (in Kalifornia) at March 05, 2025 01:24 PM (ynpvh) 478
California voters doubled down on taxes, debt, and one-party rule—despite crumbling infrastructure, failing schools, and past broken promises.
If the legitimacy of elections can't be guaranteed in Kalifornia, you can't say that voters want this legitimately. San Diego has an over 100% registration rate. The DMV just sent me a renewal with voter registration info for my dead wife. Voting in Kali has so many holes in it that it's nearly impossible to overcome potential fraud. Look at Florida; they did some major cleanup, and the results were amazing. Posted by: jim (in Kalifornia) at March 05, 2025 01:33 PM (ynpvh) Processing 0.09, elapsed 0.0888 seconds. |
