The example I used with people who were nominally on the fence about the matter was "So, let's pretend he walked into this living room right now and sat down with us. Do you think he could carry on a normal conversation, with things like 'How was your flight?', 'The weather been good in D.C?' 'How about that Bear's game the other night?' Because if we're going to pretend somebody is competent, I'd suggest a 5 minute conversation about every day life should be well within their wheelhouse.

It would have made for good TV. Golf is a sport that can be played well into the golden years, and it would also have revealed Biden’s infirmities. Just two guys out on the course. Two things at work here.
1) The Manhattan Project was undertaken during an era when Americans still had national pride and were willing to do anything possible to win WWII.
2) There were a LOT of people that worked on it, but it was compartmentalized to an almost atomic (lol) level. The people driving trucks between Oak Ridge and Los Alamos had no idea what they were hauling, and the guys loading the trucks didn't either. They had rooms full of women running the cyclotrons refining Uranium, and the only thing they knew about their job was that they turned a dial to keep a needle on a gauge *right here*. They were told NOTHING ELSE.

Musicians don't get signed to labels unless they have a major social media presence. Actors don't get signed to roles for the same. No one gets endorsement deals unless they are active on social media. Companies cut advertising budgets because they can sign "influencers" for a fraction of the price.
Heck even in bodybuilding, you can turn pro in minimal time if your social media presence is big enough. No more toiling away for years if you have enough followers. Promotors want the attention all those followers bring.
