But purely from a standpoint of their precious optics, this is a bad look. Voters said a few things loud and clear recently, namely that they are sick and tired of the bullshit lawfare, the illegal immigration, and the widespread corruption.
So turning around and saying "we are going to use a bunch of bullshit lawfare to keep the corruption and immigration going, and BTW, TdA's Mayan street soldiers get a pass on all the laws" probably isn't making a great impression on people.

And now, without any notice whatsoever, Carlos and his two assistants have simply vanished...we became concerned. Calls to his telephone number first went unanswered, then were met with a full mailbox notification.

I’m late today because I went running… in the extreme cold of DFW before sunrise (15 deg and very windy… plus snow flurries). Very happy with no ice! Not slippery… actually comfortable once I got moving. Only 4 miles and glad to get back inside.
