Jeff wrote about the Delta airliner that crashed in Toronto yesterday. Unbelievably, no one was killed. Around 21 people were injured as the plane crashed and flipped upside down. So, with another plane crash, it was time for CNN to insinuate that this air disaster was Donald Trump's fault because he's shrinking the size of government, also known as attacking CNN's viewership.

I predict that through the work of Elon's Kids at DOGE, we are going to discover that fully 50% of every dime the Federal Government has spent these last 40 years has been spent on outright fraud, double payments, payments no longer authorized by law, and payments to people not entitled to receive them.
And as a direct result of these discoveries, we'll be able to CUT the annual Federal budget by at least half in FY 2026, and will he able to begin paying trillions per year toward paying down our $34T national debt.
It's just a feeling, but I am a bit giddy, and I think it will happen.

Even at DU, most posters have said this isn't something that can be directly blamed on Trump. They obviously hope the investigation (which Pete Buttigieg would do MUCH better, of course) will reveal some kind of mechanical or pilot readiness issue, but in general they don't want to blame Canada and Castro-Ken for it, so it's chalked-up as a legitimate weather-related, unfortunate accident.

A long time ago I saw an article where someone did the math and if we actually did have reparations and stopped all the other federal programs that blacks benefit from (in the name of making up for slavery), it would be a great deal.
And for the record, black support for Trump was actually not much different than other Republicans, I think it was 2% higher than Bush's election.

Yes, but they really fucked us all with this one. They pulled a lawless GM bailout with the loan notes - at roughly the same time they dicked GM bondholders, this being an early Obama gift to us - so everything about them is messed up.
You can't just bar borrowers from repayment years at a time by playing servicing shell games (they did this, which most don't seem to be aware of) while interest accrues and railroad people into payment plans, then say "ah welp nevermind, we're gonna go back to the original loan contract, pay up".

Anyway, what governments MUST do, is make timely interest payments on existing debt. This is something that is not negotiable. Cutting the fraud out, easily the worst scandal in US history, will go a long ways to restoring credibility and at the same time give breathing room to being able to make interest payments.
Social Security, “Welfare Entitlements” all of those can and will be cut, before they will stop making interest payments. The entire national debt rolls over every 4 years. At higher and higher rates. This is a matter of survival. Better to do it on our terms than wait for the usual suspects to pull the rug, eh?

The exit polling I saw was Bush got 11% black support, Trump got 13%. i didnt see a breakdown of black men to black women
To me it's basically statistical "noise" and blacks are still a very reliable vote for Democrats.
The group that was the most "loyal" to Democrats was Jewish Americans, 80% support and it didn't go down from 2020.

Everything Trump is doing is pointing to this.
He's been telegraphing it since the idea was first floated.
As I said, it's the nuclear bomb on all of this bullshit--they have no power over us if they can't tax us.

I beg to differ. They're a collection of parasites. Trump made it clear that the US would not be in any peace keeping force in Ukraine. As it is a European risk and directly related to their national security, it would be up to the EU and the UK to supply a peace keeping force. But, those f*ckers don't want to pay for it or be obligated to do it. So, they say the only way they would participate is if the US participated and ran the whole thing. In other words "PAY FOR IT."

Running a national debt and deficit was critical to winning to WWII. What was not critical was the explosion of both under LBJ to fuel his Great Society nonsense. Once the fiscal restraint dam was blown wide open the mind set of the Federal government genetically, it seems, became to rapidly and relentlessly expand to satisfy politicians who saw that by "doing something, anything for the American people" was their gravy train to staying around until their office became a hospice. Years ago the debt was reaching crushing levels and since Jug Ears increasing the annual deficit just added some extra gravity to the disaster. The choice now is draconian shrinking of the Federal government or to wait around to we end up resembling the German economy after WWI or more recently what happened to Greece in 2007.

In the original Jesus Christ Superstar Concert, and the Movie Judas was a black singer. Didn't matter much it seemed to me, as his part was equal or better than JC, and he had a far better voice. He also sang the title song.
I imagine they'll have to gut the part a lot so the female Jesus doesn't get upstaged by Judas.

Contemporary descriptions of 'Syrians' don't emphasize looks nearly as much as religious differences from Rome proper. Italy might be a little lighter now due to the Lombard invasions. They were a lot more likely to emphasize a Nubian (Ethiopian) person or military unit. Gauls and Germans were spoken up as larger and paler.
So I'd say much like Arabs now. In fact Arabs lived near the area, in the deserts inland.
