Arrests for illegal border crossings have fallen to their lowest level since Trump's last term.

This isn't because of non-enforcement. It's because people aren't coming now.

Apprehensions at the U.S. southern border hit a low mark not seen since the last time President Donald Trump was in office.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) apprehended just 29,116 illegal immigrants along the southern border during the month of January, down from 47,000 in December and hitting a low mark not seen since May 2020, when 32,349 arrests were made at ports of entry, according to a White House press release.

Overall, CBP apprehended 61,465 illegal immigrants at the southern border in January, down 36% from the prior month, the release notes, citing new CP data.

The situation on the border turned markedly with the change of administration.

The numbers, which were shared with ABC News, shifted even more dramatically after Trump took office, with apprehensions falling 85% between Jan. 21 and 31, an 85% reduction from the same time period in 2024.

The numbers continue a string of news showing reductions in attempted border crossings under Trump, including a Fox News report last week that revealed the daily average of known gotaways -- illegal immigrants who enter the U.S. while avoiding arrest -- have fallen to just 132 per day since the beginning of February, at 93% reduction from the highs seen under former President Joe Biden.

Thomas D. Homan
@RealTomHoman

In the last 24 hours the US Border Patrol has encountered a total of 229 aliens across the entire southwest border. That is down from a high of over 11,000 a day under Biden. I started as a Border Patrol Agent in 1984 and I don't remember the numbers ever being that low. President Trump promised a secure border and he is delivering. ~ Thomas D. Homan, US Border Czar

Clay Travis
@ClayTravis

In less than a month Trump has completely shut down the Southern border. All via executive action and without any bills by Congress. Remember that Biden & Kamala said Congress had to act for the border to be secure. That was a lie.

Supposedly, leftwing financial institutions are scaling back/watering down their DEI commitments.

I don't believe this is real. It is illegal to discriminate based on race, but this lawless practice was encouraged under Biden, who would protect these institutions from prosecution.

They're not really abandoning DEI -- they're just removing the admissions that they're engaging in illegal discrimination. The practice will continue sotto voce until Trump starts prosecuting them.

And until America's right-leaning lawyers unleash class action lawsuits against them, pummeling them for billions in collective damages.

America trusts Trump on every single issue, with the sole exception of LGBT issues, oddly enough. And even there, Trump is only barely mistrusted, 51% to 49%.

Scott Rasmussen
@ScottWRasmussen

Stunning numbers from @YouGovAmerica. It's no surprise that voters trust @RealDonaldTrump on immigration, the economy, inflation, an trade. But the YouGov survey shows most voters trust him at least a little on 18 of 20 issues including the environment, race relations, and

The only exceptions are transgender issues where voters are evenly divided and LGBTQ issues where 51% do not trust him at all (but 49% do).

I would guess the most shocking numbers to Dems would be that 58% trust him on the Supreme Court, 56% on guns, 55% on Democracy.

This suggests that @realDonaldTrump has picked his enemies well in the early days. He has put D's in the position of having to defend illegal immigrants and the federal bureaucracy. More than 80% of voters consistenly say illegal immigration is bad for America. 60% believe the federal government is a special interest group that primarily looks out for its own interests.

So.... there's an asteroid flying towards earth and the odds of it hitting us just increased.

The good news is that the asteroid is still seven years away.

The chances of an asteroid as large as the width of an NFL field striking Earth continue to tick up, according to NASA.

The recently discovered Asteroid 2024 YR4 now has a 2.6% probability of impact, or 1 in 38 chance. That’s up from a 1.9% probability following and an initial 1% chance in late January. On the flip side, this means that there is a more than 97% chance the asteroid will whiz past Earth.

The celestial body is estimated to be between 130 and 300 feet wide and is expected to swing close to Earth on Dec. 22, 2032. The width of an NFL field from sideline to sideline is 160 feet.

This is all because Trump cut USAID spending!!!!

Never-Trump Grifters Hold 'Summit on Principled Conservatism'

By Debra Heine

March 2, 2020

She misspelled "princibuhled" but I'll let it slide for now.

A number of America's leading Never-Trump luminaries, including Bill Kristol, Evan McMullin, Rick Wilson, Amanda Carpenter, Tom Nichols and Ramesh Ponnuru, held a conference in Washington D.C. on Saturday to an audience of about 200 supporters.

Timed to compete with the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), the "Summit on Principled Conservatism" was hosted by Principles First, in partnership with Stand Up Republic, both of which describe themselves as "grassroots" organizations.

Principles First, founded by "conservative" consultant Heath Mayo, claims to be an "entirely self-funded, volunteer organization" that is "committed to rediscovering and championing principles in the 21st century."

Stand Up Republic is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization led by failed 2016 presidential candidate Evan McMullin and his running mate, Mindy Finn to take down President Trump. Stand Up Republic is funded by Ebay founder and left-wing financier Pierre Omidyar and the left-of-center Hewlett Foundation.

The Omidyars have been among the most prolific supporters of left-wing causes for years, American Greatness reporter Julie Kelly pointed out in a ground-breaking report in November of 2018.

According to a 2014 report by the Media Research Center, "Michael Bloomberg, Warren Buffett, Pierre Omidyar, Tom Steyer and George Soros's son, Jonathan are major funders of the left. Together, they have contributed at least $2.7 billion since 2000 to groups pushing abortion, gun control, climate change alarmism and liberal candidates."

Omidyar has also donated millions to left-wing billionaire George Soros's pet projects, "including the Open Society Foundations, a main funder of Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, and the Center for American Progress," Kelly reported.

The Open Society Foundations lists as its goals: "creating a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants, cutting the number of prison inmates by 50%, enacting comprehensive immigration reform, increasing welfare handouts, and raising taxes to redistribute wealth."

No principled conservatives would align themselves with someone who has dedicated his life to defeating conservative causes. But Kristol, who actively opposes Republican candidates and tweets about his "inner socialist," clearly is no longer a conservative, if he ever really was one.

...

Rick Wilson is known for using degrading language to describe Trump supporters. Other "principled conservatives" on the panel referred to Trump supporters as "crazies" and "cultists."

...

"Your fellow panelist has called Trump supporters 'ten-toothed rubes' and has referred to them as being unable to read," Chamberlain pointed out. "Do you think those comments are appropriate?" he asked the panel. Tim Miller, a Bulwark contributor, responded by saying he disagreed with Wilson's comments, but Wilson himself doubled down.

...

"Everyone in this room has a principled conservative stand, okay?" Wilson continued, (although it wasn't actually clear that everyone in the room was conservative). "And I'm sorry that the 'f-- your feelings' crowd can't take the fact that I'm a pirate and that I talk the way I do," Wilson said to Chamberlain.

"The fact of the matter is, I'm not going to give you a participation trophy and let you wear some mantle of victimization because you've embraced a guy who puts kids in cages," Wilson added before Chamberlain noted, "That was started with Obama."

"You embraced a guy who shits on the rule of law of the Constitution ... and if I call you a name, tough," Wilson said.

One of the most amusing aspects of modern "politics" (I'm not sure it really is politics) is watching short fat blobs of high-estrogen dough like Rick Wilson pretend to be tough-guy "pirates."

I think this is a silly issue but I don't mind punishing the pro-terrorist Marxist propaganda organization AP.

The Democrats sure do want to keep paying millions in Social Security payments to people supposedly older than 150 years old.

Their voters, in other words.

There's one person receiving Social Security who is between 360 and 369 years old.

Methuselah lives, and he votes Democratic.

Disney-owned ABC "News" demands to know, now, who's really running the government.

Remember that presstitutes are dumb and have to simplify things for their little hamster brains.

The odds didn't really increase; whoever is working on the orbit of this particular NEO has recalculated its orbit based on new observations. Note the "new" observations could even include older images or photographs where it wasn't noticed at the time the image was taken, but it was found more recently by working back from current observations.

I imagine that is on purpose to avoid muddying the crime scene and so that mom and pa at home can tell each other about fraud affecting their social security checks.

Brilliant optics because the best rhetoric (aka the age distribution) illustrates the dialectic that the Social Security Agency is dirty from head to tail. Thanks for the information. Friends and family have had really really bad flu this year. Worst in my memory. My grandparents lost a child of 3 to the Spanish flu after WW I.

Even when we're vaccinated, if a lot of people aren't it increases the viral load. I'm not an expert but apparently if a lot of individuals are unvaccinated, even the vaccinated ones are at higher risk of catching it, because we get exposed over and over. Thanks MAGA.

I got interested in how they calculate the impact probability and the impact zone.

They basically use Monte Carlo using the distribution of the uncertainties in the various orbital elements.

As more and more observations (like Helena mentioned above), that "uncertainty distribution" is refined.

If there was a 1.9% chance of it hitting earth in late January, and now, in late February, the chance has increased to 2.6%, then, at that .7% per month rate of increase, chances would be 100% in just about 12 years!!! But by the time it returns in 2032 it will only be 61.4%. Whew.

This worked for a whole bunch of government systems, 01/01/00 was the default before Y2K. If you didn't put a value in the DOB field it would insert that date automatically. And just like that she finds a scrap duct tape stuck to a wall somewhere on the property that read "Gay Baby Jail." Oh no! Not that Mr. Bill. It should be noted the very tall gay Griner WNBA weed queen and her not so tall wife recently acquired a baby boy. Terrified for her life she fled the hotel and went straight to the media to report the very real and literal lynching of her.

We are checking all the boxes here folks.

When the police finally got involved and checked out the story they discovered at the same hotel, at the same moment, a gamer convention was being held, and the very real and literal lynching phrase "Gay Baby Jail" is commonly used by gamers when they get stuck on video game level and can't get out because, "Dude, this is gay, baby gay that I am stuck on this level."

And so ends the tale of the very real and literal lynching of Brittney Griner.

386 Not that I believe they should, but that is what the people funding them now claimed back then

Exactly. For consistency's sake. Like Bill Maher saying "OK we exaggerated, we lied, Bush wasn't really as bad as Hitler, but THIS TIME TRUMP REALLY IS" LOL

Okay Bill. Schmuck

388 I'm starting to suspect that the flu shot isn't much of a vaccine. It has demonstrated almost no protection from flu while also increasing the overall number of respiratory illnesses.
Posted by: Emmie at February 18, 2025 07:10 PM (Sf2cq)

The Flu shots are based on what someone THINKS the new Flu variant will be... and their track record is pretty abysmal.

This year, it is particularly bad from what I am hearing.

390 Principles First is really very White, exactly as Obama's White House communications group was during his administrations.

But it is the Never Trump rodents minus Liz Cheney & Cassidy Hutchinson.

I'm impressed by how many were in on January 6th, 2021 - both onsite and in committee testimony.

391 Grassley says he feels for those who are losing their jobs, but insists there’s little he can do to intervene.

“Congress can’t do anything except complain about it,” he says, “but I think we have to have sympathy and understanding for people that are laid off.”

Thanks for the gift that keeps on giving Iowa.

Its a traditional vaccine. The problem is the influenza virus mutates a lot.

They pick 3 Chinese flus each year trying to guess which one will come to America. Even if they get the strain right the problem is when some illegals coughs on you in Cleveland that virus has mutated a ton from its origins in Yunnan and so effectively the vaccine offers no protection...

Four more dead hostages will be released next week, according to Israel.

Well, that lets out most social science research off the bat and a lot of useless med research like Fauci's beagle torture test and things like that.

Big ticket science like particle beams, etc. may also get whacked. Basically, as Sabine Hossenfelder ( a physicist in Germany now YT commentator) admitted, most of the research is done to chase the grant committee foibles rather than whatever is actually of interest and value.
