Justice Department Fires 20 Immigration Judges

See if you can find the well-hidden admission:

The Trump administration dismissed 20 immigration judges over the weekend without explanation, as it continues its efforts to reduce the size of the federal government, The Associated Press reported.

Matthew Biggs, the president of the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers, a union representing immigration judges, said 13 judges who hadn't been sworn in yet and five assistant chief immigration judges were fired Friday without warning.

He added that two additional judges had been let go in the same manner last week.

"You have a president now who campaigned on immigration and removing people from the country on the one hand. And on the other hand, he's actually firing the very judges that have to hear these cases and make those decisions. So, it makes no sense. It's a head-scratcher," Biggs said in a statement, as reported by NBC News.

The immigration court system is severely overwhelmed, with more than 3.7 million pending cases, resulting in lengthy delays. Asylum applications can particularly take years to resolve.

Despite bipartisan support for increased staffing, including additional judges and support personnel, the Trump administration's push for expedited case resolution puts extra pressure on already burdened court judges.

Awww.

Well here's the fact they tried to hide: 13 of these judges weren't sworn in yet. Why is that?

Because these are among the many "Midnight Appointments" Biden rushed into office as he departed the White House to spend more time with his beach house. In other words, they're almost all pro-illegal-immigration saboteurs Biden's aides appointed precisely because they could be depended upon to refuse to deport Biden's Army of Invading Illegals.

Meanwhile, a couple of Republican Congressmen are threatening to impeach leftwing judges who block Trump's agenda through judicial activism.

House Republicans are preparing to introduce impeachment articles against at least two federal judges who have ruled against President Trump's executive actions. The effort, spearheaded by Reps. Andrew Clyde and Eli Crane, underscores the growing tensions between Trump's administration and the judiciary. The move follows rulings that blocked key components of Trump's government efficiency initiatives.

Key Details:

Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-Ga.) is drafting impeachment articles against U.S. District Judge John J. McConnell Jr., who struck down Trump's federal spending freeze.

Rep. Eli Crane (R-Ariz.) is targeting District Judge Paul Engelmayer, who blocked DOGE from accessing Treasury records.

Vice President J.D. Vance and Trump have both criticized judges for obstructing executive power, with Trump suggesting judicial overreach may need to be addressed.

Many us us had taken the oath to support the Constitution, against all enemies foreign and blah, blah, blah... I have yet to meet anyone has taken an oath to support edicts of any Federal judge. I have never been in a position to personlly do jack shit either way.

But, Legislators can impeach, or tell the judges to rethink their positions or face impeachment.
President can tell them to pound sand, rethink, or ask Congress to impeach.

Making shit up - unconstitutional edicts are treason. Very easy for lone judges to do. Much more difficult for El Presidenta, and very very much more difficult for Congress as a whole.

If/When they impeach they need to make it clear that it is for unconstitutional behavior which is much worse than merely 'bad behaviour'.

114 When the first TROs can rolling in, I knew Trump had a plan for this. They had seen how it worked, and had worked out countermeasures.

In a way, it was a no-lose scenario - either the EOs stood, or the judges exposed themselves and would face retaliation, and the EOs would still go through.

This was because these b.s. TROs never had a cost associated with them. Now they do. The impeachment will go before a committee, which will then investigate the judge, who will wish it never started. As we know, the process is the punishment, and that judge is going to serve as an object lesson for others.

164 A pair of House Republicans are preparing to introduce articles of impeachment against at least two federal judges, both of whom have ruled against President Trump in his attempts to freeze disbursement of grant and aid money and the Department of Government Efficiency’s access to Treasury Department payment systems. Mr. Trump himself has said he would like someone to “look” at the judges who have placed temporary holds on his executive orders.

With Congress grinding away at Mr. Trump’s legislative agenda, he has mostly been consigned to issuing his executive actions aimed at cutting what he sees as the government’s wasteful spending, including foreign aid sent through the U.S. Agency for International Development and funds appropriated by legislation from the Biden administration. The judiciary, however, has largely sided with states, non-governmental organizations, and unions in their fights to release those funds and protect federal jobs, at least for now.

1. Are you claiming asylum, Yes?
a. Did you pass through a safe country on your way to US, Yes? Claim rejected. Back to first safe country.
b. Did you claim asylum at border crossing or at US Embassy? No? Claim rejected. Back across the border, try again.
2. Did you overstay your visa, Yes? Go back to your country.
3. Not an asylum seeker or visa overstayer? Did you check in at a US border crossing? No? Go back to your country.

That ought to take care of 95+% of the cases right there.

198 Retired HSI Special Agent here. The Immigration Judges are a weak spot in the immigration scam. USBP and ICE can apprehend every illegal they find, but the IJ's are the ones that ultimately give them relief.

Don't get me wrong, the recent problems came from the Obama/Biden enticement to enter illegally and the administration's gifting of asylum at the border through legal NGOs and charities, also facilitated by asylum officers who are true believers.

Until the IJ's are brought to heel, the enticement mechanism is eliminated, (which is happening), and the weak sisters in ICE are dealt with, (also happening), this will still be a problem.

TBH this is the wrong way to solve the problem.

None of those 3.6M people should be in the US requesting asylum. They should be in Mexico, or various other "first" countries they reach.

So the very obvious answer is to round them up and drop them in Mexico. And if they want to go to the consulate in Mexico and request asylum then? Go right ahead. Make sure we have a small number of judges so the number that get accepted per year hover around 0.

Frankly, a lot of the early bugs have been worked out of the F-35 already, it's hardly a fiasco. That's a bunch of horseshit from the successors to the Fighter Mafia cabal, who hated any aircraft that wasn't exclusively designed with an air-to-air Korean War-era philosophy. The enormous cost of the F-35 is definitely worth debating, but the resulting weapons systems are damned effective.

From looking at it, it appears there is a pinch point on the large handle with a lot of leverage and that adults would lift handle and kids would be sticking fingers into pinch point as they lifted so finger would get crushed, like a giant nutcracker.

They are replacing the handles with a safer one.
