The Morning Report — 2/ 17 /25

Brennannus.jpg

Good morning kids. Happy Presidents Day. And that naturally does not include the predominantly Democrat and so-called progressives that have laid us so low in the course of about a century. Yet, here we are on the verge of, or perhaps at a minimum with a good shot at reversing much of the damage caused by the aforementioned and putting us on the path towards an American renaissance.

Of course, as the wizards of smart in Foggy Bottom used to say "Changing Hearts and Minds." When one looks at the state of politics and culture here at home, that statement certainly is applicable. And while I am revolted by the concept of nation-building, the fact is we have had successive generations of citizens that voted for and participated in the aforementioned laying low of our Republic that we must somehow deprogram them and prevent further brainwashing of successive generations of children from being poisoned. One of the most potent weapons is language, its use, misuse and who gets to use it and in what manner. Language creates the mythologies, shibboleths and delusions that become passed down in the blood in many cases generation to generation, dictating who and what people will and will not vote for, regardless of their "lived experiences," and what their lying eyes show them. Setting a sleeping woman on fire in the NYC subway? Watching as half of LA is turned to ashes? Meaningless when all you've been told all your life is Trump, conservatives, Christians are literally Hitler, and the Big "F" word - FASCIST. Talk about a dog whistle.

There are several illustrative links about language and one's innate perceptions about the world that hold us back from seeing things as they really are.

First up, is Vice President J.D. Vance's figurative taking out to the woodshed of Euro-peon so-called elites at a conference of foreign dignitaries in Munich.

The panic that gripped Europe’s political elites after J.D. Vance delivered some overdue home truths in Munich found expression back home in the most embarrassing question ever asked by a network anchor.

Our vice president had accused smug Eurocrats at the Munich Security Conference of abandoning free speech and allowing unchecked migration to roil their countries, warned them to respect their voters and told them America should not bear the primary burden of funding Europe’s security.

“If you’re running in fear of your own voters, there is nothing America can do for you. Nor, for that matter, is there anything that you can do for the American people who elected me and elected President Trump,” he said. “You need democratic mandates to accomplish anything of value.”

Cue apoplexy here and abroad. The critiques of Vance’s speech all seemed deliberately to miss the point, but the most ridiculous of all came from Vance’s old sparring partner, CBS anchor Margaret Brennan. While trying to excoriate Secretary of State Marco Rubio over Vance’s message Sunday, Brennan blamed the Nazi Holocaust on . . . wait for it . . . too much free speech. Vance made his appalling remarks, she huffed, while “he was standing in a country where free speech was weaponized to conduct a genocide.”

Huh? After a momentary insanity check of his interlocutor, Rubio patiently put her straight on the history: “Free speech was not used to conduct a genocide,” he said. “The genocide was conducted by an authoritarian Nazi regime that happened to also be genocidal, because they hated Jews and they hated minorities . . . There was no free speech in Nazi Germany. There was none. There was also no opposition in Nazi Germany. They were the sole and only party that governed that country. So that’s not an accurate reflection of history.”To say the least.

The abject cluelessness or worse the intentional distortion of the facts about how the Holocaust came about are stomach-churning in the extreme. Or was it intentional distortion or does this yammering sack of hysteria and halitosis actually believe what she actually said?

Putting aside for a moment the fact that this took place in Germany and that the AFD party is in favor of deporting Muslim immigrants who are on a rampage of raping, murder and Islamic conquest everywhere they are allowed to live and breed, and restoring and preserving some semblance of postwar German civil society, let's go back and examine language. The received wisdom around the world is that the political RIGHT wherever they may be and whatever they call themselves are the inheritors of Hitler and Nazism. Therefore, being on and of the Left is or is supposed to be the counterbalance to that. In short Left is Good Right is Evil.

The inconvenient historical truth is that Hitler, Nazism and Fascism are also of the Left. Hello, Nazi is an abbreviation of the German words National Socialism. And of course socialism is the stepping stone to full on Communism, and in the space of about a century Communism killed well over 100 million people and counting. Much more when you include Mr. Schickelgruber and the Holocaust along with all the other casualties of the Second World War that he and his Italian and Japanese allies unleashed on humanity.

Again, this is why the Right/Center/Left paradigm is a complete fantasy. There is only freedom and liberty on one end of the spectrum and totalitarianism on the other.

I look forward to Vance's 8 years as POTUS 48 followed by the 8 years of his Veep's two terms as president 49.

Meanwhile, I sure hope Tom Homan goes full steam ahead with this!

Democrat New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is picking a fight with the worst possible Trump official she could beef with: border czar Tom Homan.

During the virtual event “Know Your Rights With ICE,” live-streamed Tuesday on Ocasio-Cortez’s Facebook page, the congresswoman gave illegal aliens advice on how to handle a raid from ICE on their home or workplace. Ocasio-Cortez’s government website has also featured guidance on how illegal aliens can avoid the feds, with tips such as “You do not have to open the door,” “You can ask them to leave,” and “You can stay silent.” (Subscribe to MR. RIGHT, a weekly newsletter about modern masculinity)Homan, President Donald Trump’s border czar who has been conducting ICE raids across the country, addressed Ocasio-Cortez’s stunt Thursday night, suggesting the lawmaker may ultimately face consequences.

I'm thinking prosecution, conviction and imprisonment, and not motorboating her mastoids.

Anyone and everyone who interferes with the proper and legal functioning of our government and law enforcement should be on a chain gang breaking boulders into pebbles with teaspoons.

In any case, the winning continues as Musk lets the DOGE's loose!!! Have a great Day!

And lastly, a quick shout-out and thank you for your continued support in hitting our tip jar. It truly is appreciated more than you can know.

Those of you who didn't see Pixy's thread, Elon has uncovered massive fraud in the Social Security system. See his X feed.

Some highlights. There are 20 million people in the system over 100 years listed as still alive. There are over a million people listed as 150-159 years old. There are a thousand people listed as 220-229 years old There is 1 person over 360 years old.

There are about 60 million more people listed as alive in the database than the entire US population.

Elon posted the numbers.

22 About 90% of the responses to Brennan's odious attack on free speech missed the point. It wasn't about being stupid. The Left fears and despises the idea of speech they cannot control and Brennan is a catspaw of the Left and so the whole act was intentional. This is a war, not against entirely stupid people (though not to say many are not stupid), but malicious people who hate us and hate the Constitution and hate all features of Western culture that enable and empower individual free and individual will.

23 A few of thoughts the Munich speech, one of the 3 most important speeches (Kennedy, Reagan, Trump) since the end of WWII.

This was the most Trumpian speech possible. Power revels and what was reveled is he is preparing the USA for the rapidly approaching end of the post-World War II order.

Significantly, noted is Europe is now on a path that rejects the hallmarks of Western Civilization, liberty, wealth, Christianity, and the absolute right of the governed to govern the governors.

Slyly he warned the European regimes that their schemes of instituting a totalitarian neo-feudal world and nullifying its existing citizenry and replacing with 7th century savages out to cut throats is a fool's errand.

That JD gave this speech and not Felonious D is a paramount moment: the philosophy and future direction of the USA is not about one man but a cultural return to bedrock principles of Western Civilization. Felonious D's absence is one of his finest moments of communication.

This speech was a revolutionary declaration of independence from European entanglements and a hint of what Trumpian America First means as a political philosophy. The audacity is breathtaking. And necessary.

There is no way to square the circle, either the US has a shared vision or we devolve into something like the Balkans or Yugoslavia. Demonizing people based on race, ethnicity, or national origin etc., cannot function.

71 New Jersey bans safe, effective ammunition

Since this doesn't change the choice of ammunition for criminals, it appears to be a workplace safety measure instituted by New Jersey to protect their preferred class of "worker" from death an severe injury.

Its a backdoor way of answering the question .45 or 9mm debate where the pro-Europellet tribe talks about advanced ammunition making the caliber selection moot.

Ok. This book is largely credited as laying out the framework for what eventually became known as color revolutions. It was written by a far left professor who taught at both the University of Massachusetts and Harvard named Gene Sharp.

It's been called the inspiration for other movements such as defund the police and occupy wall street.

All of these movements rely on an uprising of the downtrodden masses to overthrow a dictatorial government. Like Trump or anyone else who isn't a far left whack job. Not a fun read but it does help layout the framework for what the left keeps doing to us.

From Dictatorship to Democracy.

They don't care. It's become an article of faith for them that Nazis and every fascist movement is from the right. As JJ pointed out above, Nazi is short for National Socialism.

I've pointed this out to leftist for years and they come back with some idiocy like "the parties switched sides" to tell me socialism doesn't mean exactly what it's always meant.

They are impossible to reason with because reason plays no part in their lives. Facts do not matter to leftist zealots.

145 @43

>> How long before Trump runs up against the Impoundment Control Act of 1974?

It's patently unconstitutional and hopefully all of this get sorted appropriately by SCOTUS at some point.

What we have here is simple, yes, congress appropriates funds, and unless the money is specifically directed to how it is to be spent, the executive gets to make decisions on how best to make use of that money and can direct it to other uses.

Using the USAID boondoggle as an example, congress appropriated 40B for USAID, but there is no delineated line item or priority list of what that 40B is to fund, so the actual funding of initiatives and priorities are left to the executive agency, which in this case were run by subordinates of the previous unitary executive, and the courts are saying that the current unitary executive has no say in what the spending priorities of the agency are and that the previous subordinates priorities get to control what the money is spent on and that no alterations or claw back of money is permitted.

The problem, but they're way too dense to understand it, is similar to "racist" and "misogynist" and "homophobe."

People were called those names repeatedly. Their children were called those names repeatedly. They and their children were told they were inherently those things by virtue of being born.

And so normal people began to examine those things that they were supposed to be, and they discovered the degeneracy, the failure, the DEI "successes", the plagiarism, the violence, the pretend-equality, etc.

And they agreed. Yes, black culture is less-than. Yes, gay culture is mostly disease-ridden degeneracy and they should stay the heck away from our children. Yes, it appears that women only want equality when it benefits them.

I believe the phrase was: "I don't really care, Margaret."

So yes, maybe not using Nazi in the same way would be a great idea.

160 One of the unexpected pleasures of Trump 2.0 administration has been how his team are immediately out there and getting sh#t done!

Rubio is confirmed, and then he's off to Panama getting control of the canal and rescuing 6 AMericans held by Venezuela. Homan is doing raids within24-48 hors of Trump being sworn in. DOGE is showing up at a new agency building every day (or so?), getting into their systems, cutting off funds, cutting staff. Noem is immediately on the border on horseback, then helping clean up in NC. AND on and on.

They all seem to be active *and* wonderful at communicating what they're doing, what their plans are, etc. More of this!!

This is particularly amazing after 4 years of a hidden POTUS and cabinet, essentially a government run by unnamed, unseen actors.

A) Well, if you leave out that whole having to wear one of those bulky space suits, with the bulky gloves, restricted time of breathing aparatus...

Which is really stupid. It's our money. We paid into under the force of law. At worse we should be able to take our money back once we have reached a certain age.

I'm not interested in retiring, not yet anyway. But I should be able to take the maximum amount when I reach retirement age not what some dick in DC says I am entitled to have.

220 Working to totally computerize the Civil Service Retirement Office in the mine is a waste of effort by Trump's Admin and of money, IMHO. The process works well, in my experience, and I doubt digitizing the entire process will get retirements processed faster and better.

I am a retired Civil Servant. The process worked on the schedule advertised. First check, an estimate, arrived in 4 weeks. Within another month my annuity amount was finalized and the next check was that monthly amount plus a small amount to make up for the intentionally smaller initial estimate. All seamless and accurate in my experience.

If the limestone mine paper files operation was lousy and endlessly slow, complaints from the continuous large number of retiring Civil Servants in the DC area would have forced a change before now. The Civil Service Retirement Office is self-funded. By taking a teeny-tiny share of the Civ Service Retirement Funds. Meaning its work doesn't stop for Govt Shutdowns.

I consider this a Don't Fix What Ain't Broke situation. One that TrumpElon should address if at all only after they've fixed thousands of higher priority DeepState problems.

OK, denounce me!

The specific claim was that if someone had an invalid birth date it would default to 1875 for handwavy reasons. (There was a COBOL spec that does that, but it was ratified 20 years after the SS database was stood up).

People asked this guy why it would be OK for a program that keys eligibility by birth date to even accept an invalid date to begin with, other than fraud. That person has not posted on their X account in several days now.

Indeed, they seem to be self identifying.

Also what needs to be stated is what Adams alleged wrong doing was, his crimes were that he got some first class airfare upgrades and smoothed the permitting process for the construction of a Turkish welcoming center that would obviously generate property tax and beneficial economic activity for the city.

If something as seemingly small ball as that can be construed as corruption, what could withholding 1B dollars in aid unless a prosecutor who is investigating your sons company be construed as?

234 The hazy part for me with what they've posted is what is authorized and what isn't as you allude to. Authorized funds are going to things they're not authorized for and trying to figure out which is which of things that have been posted online.

Adding to the legal chaos is that hundreds of programs have had their authorizations expire - many for years have been continuing without authorization.

Then the cherry on top is that the USG has been operating on Continuing Resolutions and debt financing for well over a decade. That is, Congress has been derelict in even addressing the funding of any particular program, just leaving it on cruise control plus COLA.

Is the Executive required to plunge the country deeper in debt, which is a taxation on future generations not yet born or of age of representation.

I doubt it has much to do with $$$ and true efficiency yet so much as getting the public on board, similar to going after the IRS and having the IRS complain to normal people that their finances were being investigated. And people laughed at the IRS and Trumps numbers went up.

This is literally happening underground. Hidden away from view. Antiquated, rubber-stamp techniques, slow, plodding, etc., and all tied back to pensions that normal people outside of government no longer get. Pensions that died off for regular Americans 30 odd years ago. Pensions for people who were paid during COVID and didn't have to worry about a thing during the extended vacation.

Trump is a promoter. I suspect that's what this is.

He's going to have 80% approval before six months are out.

In Afghanistan, we were doing biometric enrollments of pretty much everyone in the country, and birthdates were often Jan 1 or July 1 because the culture didn't observe particular birth days and only knew if the child was born closer to the summer or winter (or thereabouts) .

But NOT having a specific birthdate is a NO-GO in the finance industry,

See my comment at 231. In short, the limitation of COBOL cited is from 1988. The SS database is from the late 60s.

Also Elon trapped them. He initially said there were a lot of 250 year olds. The “rebuttal” showed a way that could be true, but it wouldn’t allow anyone to be older than that. Elon then posted the real age data showing millions of living recipients up to 360 years old.

Today is Presidents' Day, officially Washington's Birthday at the federal governmental level, a holiday in the United States celebrated on the third Monday of February. He's known as the "Father of the United States" because of his role in the American Revolutionary War and service as the first president. Our 1st President was born February 22, 1732 Popes Creek, Colony of Virginia, British America.
Teach that US public schools.

Peg ain't an original thinker.

>See website: UN Organization, 'Hate speech and real harm'

At the bottom of the page there's the quote: "Over the past 75 years, hate speech has been a precursor to atrocity crimes, including genocide from Rwanda to Bosnia to Cambodia."- United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, June 2019

The site also includes subsections on The Holocaust, The Cambodian genocide; The 1994 genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda; Srebrenica genocide in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Rohingya refugee crisis in Myanmar.

378 Holocaust (in part) "The Holocaust did not start with the gas chambers, with the hate speech against a minority. The Nazi regime adopted law and regulations to crush Germany's independent media, replacing it with state-controlled radio and print media that disseminated hate speech, anti-Semitic, racist stereotypes, disinformation and lies. The media campaigns contributed significantly to normalizing atrocity crimes." (Reading ALL suggested)
