The main (and likely most important item) that's being reported is that the front runner in the coming German election (Merz) took an adversarial position against the US after the speech. Let's see how that plays out with the voters. I predict the AfD is going to reap the rewards.

Because the Central Office counted 'clicks'. 2 = 2 clicks. If you wanted to, you could activate the on/off-hook mechanism manually to send the clicks.

The original direct dialing phones used a clicker to signal the numbers dialed, where 1 clicked once, and 2 twice and so on. Tone dialing had not been developed by Bell labs

The old mechanical phones did a tic tic tic one tic for each number as the dial spun back. There were fake pushbutton phones that clicked 8 times or whatever soon before phones started going electronic.

I don't know what happens if no party can make a coalition for a majority. I think it is called a minority coalition, but no one can do anything.
The three main parties that are actually two main parties and a party that isn't a main party but has more votes than the third main party all are doing the "cordon sanitaire" where they all agree to not join AfD in anything, but the CDU (similar position to the GOPe) may actually combine with the AfD because they might as well fail that way as with joining forces with the Greens and the Socialists again.

Think they are the second largest party, looks like fraud is in place to try and get a third party over the 5 pct cutoff for a 3 way coalition. But is still the same old deep state fraud game. Its quite possible AfD will win but not be able to form a government . This happened in Austria the other day...they've spent some weeks failing to get together. I've lost huge respect for Parliaments these last years. I used to think they are kinda workable, now i do not unless by habit there are only 2 parties.

When I hear about this kind of thing, I think of Brad Henke, who died at 56. He was Coover in Justified. Yes, a big man, but he was also an athlete, played in the NFL for a while, so I am guessing he had a pretty healthy diet and exercise regimen. He died from a big tumor in his pancreas and a 90% blockage in his heart.

When I'm in the office and my cell rings, the desk phone rings, and I can answer it there. I can also use the rotary dial to place calls. I believe they like to call it a "Unity Government" but it's just a coalition. There's are three parties in the current German government; Socialists (Red), Greens (Green), Free Democratic Party (Yellow). The coalition is called the "Traffic Light Coalition" because of their party colors.
On occasion parliamentary systems have what are called "minority governments" where the majority party has won the popular vote, but not a majority of seats in an election and tries to take power or they had a majority but lost seats due to various reasons and try to maintain control of government.
These minority governments usually don't last long as the party will eventually lose a vote in parliament or the Prime Minister/Chancellor will lose a vote of confidence and then a new election is called.

I think it likely the AfD will get enough support to deeply embarrass the other parties (25% isn't out of the question), but it's virtually impossible that the CDU will form a coalition with them. Even the brief informal alliance between the two recently on a single immigration measure caused immense backlash across the country.
Unfortunately, the CDU will probably get first place and then immediately betray its voters by forming a coalition with the Social Democrats and the Greens. It's disgusting, but I don't see another probability.

In my many years VACCINES were always a result of isolating weakened viruses of the most current strain of FLU, sterilizing them and then mass producing them as a vaccine allowing the human host to produce antibodies to ward off that particular virus.
Things changed with COVID and instead of just reproducing a weak COVID RNA virus, we are doing a Modified RNA and a SPIKE protein which has no current 5-year study to elaborate on potential effects on human Chromosomes with the RNA Spike Protein related to Human DNA, so...I am on the fence with this.

Feb. 12th poll tallies had AfD gaining momentum and CDU losing momentum. As of those polls, CDU was at 29%; AfD was just under 22%. Every other party was tailing off. To place seats you need to be over 5% electoral. Currently, there are four parties with that possibility.
Making up 7 points is not out of the question. And, I tend to think the polls in Germany are not going to reflect accuracy on the AfD support. It's much like it was in 2016 here when Trump beat Hillary. People were reluctant to tell the pollster the truth just avoid the nonsense. Lots of closet MAGA's...and likely lots of closet AfD's.

The best thing about open carry being legal is it invalidates the charge against "brandishing". Even an accidental exposure. When Texas passed their CHL law, cops were "concealed means concealed". Even if it was accidental, it was a charge. 1st guy arrested was in Watauga, Texas.

It's not out of the realm of possibility, and I'll be highly amused if that happens. But it's not about who gets a first-place finish, it's about who can get a majority coalition cobbled together. So the only real question is whether the CDU would ever agree to join hands with the AfD. And on that point, I am extremely dubious. They'll almost certainly ally with the Greens and the SPD before they do that. As I said, disgusting, but there it is.

My brother was diagnosed with stomach cancer in 2019. Prognosis was, "slow moving, manageable" and "you'll die with it, not from it".
Early 2021 he took the vax, and thought I was foolish for refusing it. April of last year, his PET scan comes back and it's bleak. Day before his 67th birthday, the docs tell him the "manageable" cancer is no longer responding to the chemo. He died last September.
I'm still dealing with my newly-acquired contempt for modern medicine. What I once considered the pinnacle of civilized society is now a fetid cesspool of government sponsored snake oil hustlers. Polio? TB? Measles? Tell you what, doc, I'll homeschool my grandkids to the 5th grade and beyond. Suddenly, I'm very skeptical of your "herd immunity" bullshit..

Last year I saw some moderate to long clips of games. When Caitlin was playing it was a real sport, even the other teams played better in self defense. When she was not in a game it was fraudulent.

The hits to my family keep coming. A second cousin died yesterday morning. Aggressive pancreatic cancer that was just diagnosed a few months ago. Turbo, one could call it.
And a 1st cousin is now in hospice, not long for this world.
He went in for heart valve surgery in January. It was some sort of tumor, not cancerous, a "growth" you might call it, that would eventually mess up the function.
That went swimmingly, then something happened soon thereafter. Brain cancer. Aggressive.
Less than a month later, and he's dying in a nursing home, under hospice care.

I had a close family friend who had been a 5 year survivor of breast cancer, in complete remission. But being freaked out about health, she got the vaxx and the booster and told all her friends they should, too. For a party to enter the Bundestag they must get at least 5% in the national vote. FDP, which is a free market, libertarian, type party may not make it back in.
The German left has SPD, Greens, and the Left party for a total of 35%.
The natural allies (on the issues of migration & economic policies) of CDU/CSU & AfD have 50% together already.
They could easily form a coalition with the BSW party - left-wing economic policies combined with conservative cultural views, especially when it comes to migration. That coalition would give them around 55% of seats if the polls bear out.
But I don't think Merz would do it.
Every party has made clear the won't join AfD in a coalition and I don't see any away for a right/center-right coalition to form without them.
Merz will be forced to join with either the SPD or the Greens.
The same position they've been in since Merkel's last tenure - a coalition of center-right and center-left that can't get anything done.
If AfD wins more seats than CDU that would change things considerably.

VP Vance chided and derided Europe for the very things that our great nation is wrestling with. He maligned the continent’s leaders and voters when our own house is not in order.
According to him, Europe is “retreating” away from free speech and is making wrong choices about who should be “part of a free society.” He maligned them for not leading with the right values and for persecuting those who disagree with them. TPTB want there to be distrust and resentment between the sexes because they want to get rid of a large portion of the population. About the sickest I’ve ever been was in FW a few years ago, and after I recovered I self diagnosed it as Dengue Fever. (At one point I went to an emergency room and almost died from a nurse who completely misdiagnosed me and gave me an injection that almost stopped my heart)
So I wondered, how could I have gotten that? And I found out that there was an epidemic of it in Guatamala and Honduras at the time, and a couple of days before coming down with it, I ate at a Mexican restaurant that I’m sure was using Guatemalan immigrants in their kitchen. Well I never ate there again. (La Playa Maya, I think)

It looked like that "cordon sanitaire" against the AfD (they're so awful to the elites they are like a disease that must be quarantined) was falling, but Merkel came out and made some impassioned plea about fascism which killed that.
Egyppius says it looks like they may not be able to form a government at all after the election, so many bridges the elites are burning.

Merz won't do it. At a minimum, there would be massive protests nationwide, the media would be apoplectic, and there would be massive defections from the CDU, maybe enough to cost them any chance of a majority. And I wouldn't put it past the establishment to finally pull a coup and ban the AfD in that case.
The AfD surpassing the CDU in votes would be interesting, and cause a massive freakout, but it won't change the electoral math. It's a CDU-SPD-Greens coalition or nothing. Or *and* nothing, because there's no way it will hold together indefinitely.

I wouldn’t do it. I’m unvaxxed. I was willing to go to prison or die to maintain my unvaxxed status.
That’s easy for me to say, though. Nobody tried to force me. And I was half-considering it in 2021 until I learned about the human embryonic cells thing.

1. Info on adverse reactions has been out for quite some time. Parents either believe it or they don’t. You’re not going to change that.
2. I’m assuming it’s the pediatrician who orders up the shot. If you refuse, you’ll be fired.
3. Right after you leave, another nurse will come in and administer the shot anyway.
Maybe say a silent prayer for the child as you give him/her the shot.

A woman took over her brother's social media a few years back to help him out, assuming he was shy. Within a month she was in tears at how bad she was treated on the apps. No matches, flaking out, the works.
About 10 years ago a feminst pretended to be a man and infiltrated a bowling group for a study. She was amazed how good they were and how bad her attempts at dating went. She finally told the guys and they took it well. Some years later she killed herself.

I've been married going on 29 years so I don't know what I'd have to cope about. Things have changed... very badly. OF, the sneering dismissal of normal men, the yazzz... slay kween bullshit. But I don't think it's as bad as people believe. The thing is, these podcasts make money talking about. And talking about amplifies the perception of, if not the reality.
In short, it's all a big ghey op and we're caught up in it. It's bad... and getting worse but I don't think it's AS BAD as people believe it to be. The question then becomes how much does it become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Results are not earth-shattering but add to the hypothesis that more DNA than intended is slipping through with the vaccines, and that this may be a source of adverse events.
However, most of the fragments they found were small (less than 100 base pairs) and are considered to be safer..

Probably answered already, but dial phones sent current pulses down the line that corresponded with the number dialed. Mechanical counters at the exchange counted the pulses for each digits, and then shifted your call to the next registers to receive the following digit. Push buttons sent tones, and each digit had a unique tone.
Telephones were digital before they went analog.

My understanding of HIPPA, which was acquired at the time of its passing, is that unless asked by a qualified medical professional under whom your care directly falls, the question is considered a felonious invasion of you privacy.
It didn't stop my idiot boss from assigning his assistant to ask the question. I simply declined to answer and was therefore subject to weekly COVID tests for about six months. I got off cheap, as I didn't have to pay for the tests. I know a few folks that had to pay for them. $50 a pop...
