New Leftist Attack on Musk and Trump: Trump Is Buying $400,000,000 of Armored Tesla Cybertrucks in a Corrupt Payoff

There is such a deal.

There's just one problem with this claim: The State Department inked the deal to buy these electric trucks on December 13, 2024.

When Biden was "president."

Nothing to do with Trump. It's all about Biden's insane drive to make everyone drive electric vehicles.

Rachel Maddow gleefully reported on the purchase -- but failed to tell her viewers that this is a Biden-era deal, part of Biden's drive to turn the State Department into a "zero carbon" agency.

And it's not as if she didn't know -- the first reporting on this from the leftwing Ryan Grim stated the date of the contract in the first sentence.

Though he does attempt to blame the contract on Trump anyway, saying it was awarded "after Trump's election." Not his inauguration, which would happen 40 days later.

The State Department's procurement forecast, revised as of late December 2024, lists Tesla as the recipient of the largest expected contract, with Marco Rubio's department planning to buy $400,000,000 worth of "Armored Tesla."
The award is targeted for Q4, and is forecast to last for five years.
The procurement forecast is listed as having been modified on December 13, 2024, a month after Donald Trump's election. The State Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Under the heading, "extent competed," the document reads merely "TBD."

Does Grim mean to say that everyone knows Trump was the Real President during this period?

This is deliberate disinformation.

I would offer him/her/xer an OTH in lieu of trial by court martial. It's basically an admin function and if it's lawyer signs off on it there is no pension and no benefits. If it doesn't accept the OTH then you can do a court martial for violation of UCMJ Article 92. That carries six months in the brig, forfeiture of all pay and allowances and a BCD.

There is a lot of history and monkey business with the rear admiral rank.

Originally, it came from the Royal Navy. In formation, the big admiral was in the middle of the line, the #2, vice-admiral was at the front, and the #3 admiral was in the rear of the formation.

At one time, all rear admirals had two-stars. This pissed off the Army, where a 1-star Brigadeire general would have seniority over some new rear admiral, but yet the latter had more stars.

And then there was the business with commodores. You can read up on that if interested.

Even with armor they are still pretty small vehicles, relative to a Tank or APC.

I think that a Hybrid design for a military 'jeep' would work better so you can be on silent e-motors nearby but have nomal fuel to get back to base.

In 1776, as part of the bicentennial stuff, they decided it was wrong for any other officer to outrank Washington, so he was posthumously promoted to "6-star", General of the Armies rank.

Well, the law says that Washington will never be outranked, so technically, he will automatically be promoted to whatever is the highest rank yet created.

Range for a police Cybertruck is 325 miles. Expect less with the armor. But Tesla is going to make an extra battery for Cybertruck that makes the base truck able to go 500+ miles and that would be a great idea for this.

My car emits zero emissions while I am driving it, and I can charge it from solar power to run with zero emissions. A gasoline car always needs gasoline but an EV can run on clean power when it's available.

And if you took the crude oil and burned it in a power plant and my car used the power, my car would be cleaner per mile than a gas car.

My car took more energy to build than a gas car, but at the end of life the battery pack will be recycled, and there's no way to recycle burned gasoline.
