Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Morning Report — 2/13 /25![]() President Donald Trump expressed that he wants the Department of Education to be “closed immediately,” describing it as a “big con job.” When asked by a reporter how soon Trump wanted the Department of Education to be closed, Trump criticized how the United States education system was ranked 40th compared to other countries but ranked number one in terms of “costs per pupil.”... Trump has previously stated he wants to close the Department of Education and move education back into the hands of the states. There are many states, and of course cities where students are about as proficient in the 3 R's as a used toothbrush. Which makes for the most loyal of leftist voters, growing into useless individuals dependent upon the government for their sustenance. Considering the awakening of local parents to wokeism and the brainwashing of their children into perversion and self-loathing as was amply demonstrated with the election of Glenn Youngkin a few years back and thank goodness seems to be trending nationally. To underscore that statement as well as President Trump's call to abolish the DoE, get set to grab your barf bags, And if this s happening where you live, your pitchforks and torches (metaphorically speaking of course *wink*wink). On Tuesday evening, school board members representing Penfield Central School District in Rochester, New York, walked out on a packed house of parents who were upset about an inappropriate book on display at the elementary school library called “The Rainbow Parade,” authored by Emily Neilson. The book in question is about a young girl attending a pride parade with her lesbian parents. The illustrations show men in sexual BDSM gear holding hands, drag queens, and naked people. Instead of taking on comments from concerned parents, the board’s president called a motion to adjourn and ended the meeting abruptly. Kimberly DeRosa, who attended the meeting, told The Daily Wire that it ended after “more than an hour of presentations celebrating Black History Month and the superintendent detailing the process of submitting objections to books in the school. As noted by DeRosa, the board told parents that they should submit their complaints, which apparently negated their right to speak out at the meeting. “We are here at our board meeting, conducting our business,” one board member told parents, who began booing. One parent responded, “It’s our board meeting,” and others yelled, “cowards!””Only a scant four years or so ago, Joey Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants sicked his DoJ goons on the parents and had them officially designated as potential if not actual terrorists for objecting to the mind-rape if not physical rape of their children via transexual madness of boys in girls rooms and showers. Insert (bad word!)Ashely Biden reference here. Beyond the bureaucracies, both Federal and State, the Teachers' Unions which are nothing but money-laundering operations for Democrat political campaigns must be abolished and more than that, the curricula must be scrupulously purged of the poisonous rot such as outlined above and anyone who pushes it openly or otherwise must not be allowed within a thousand light years of any school. God bless Trump but it is up to all of us to be on the school boards, or if we are or wish to be teachers must resist this with every ounce of our strength. This stops when future generations are properly taught and the brainwashing machinery is smashed to bits. And speaking oof public sector unions, US District Judge George A. O’Toole ruled that the union groups suing to block the so-called “Deferred Resignation” program lacked standing and that his Massachusetts-based court lacked the jurisdiction to proceed with the lawsuit. O’Toole, an appointee of former President Bill Clinton, temporarily blocked the Office of Personnel Management from moving ahead with the program earlier this week, after unions representing more than 800,000 federal workers charged that that the buyout offers were unlawful.Trump should take an axe to government employee unions. Even FDR recognized the conflict of interest they presented. Trump can call it the Franklin Roosevelt Freedom Act! That should make Lefty heads explode. Elsewhere, Pam Bondi and Discipline! wasted no time in cracking the whip against Hochul and Letitia James for their over abrogation of their oaths for refusal to uphold immigration laws in the (evil-)Empire state of New York. Of course the usual suspects will howl that Trump is using this as retribution against James for her leading the kangaroo court prosecutions against him, which is of course groundless since the charges against these two filthy trots are well founded. And here's hoping she and Homan go after every other Democrat Pol who flaunts our laws and openly harbors illegals and interferes with ICE's duty to round up the invaders and ship them the hell out. I'd say prosecute the hell out of them but considering the corruption that is the judiciary (which is why a Clinton-appointed judge ruled in favor of Trump's employee buyouts is rather surprising) I fully expect Hochul and James to have charges dismissed or else found not guilty. At the risk of reepeating myself, how in hell can Trump rely on the courts to uphold the COnstitution when for so long they have been a part of the problem - the abrogation/negation/destruction of that document. Can Trump as I have asked just tell the Courts to go to Hell and what risk does that pose down the road if inevitably we wind up with another Bush in the White House - and I mean a CORI BUSH, Dear God forbid. And in the near term rioting in the streets. And the notion of impeaching obdurate tyrannical judges may be a nonstarter given the resistance from Dems and RINOs. At the very least, I think the political winds are at Trump's back especially as he, Musk and team expose the breadth and depth of the waste and cancerous poison if not death that tax dollars have bought is exposed. And USAID is just the tippy tip tip of the iceberg. People shouldn’t just be enraged by USAID’s wasteful spending. They should also focus on what that spending supported—particularly when it promoted terror or aligned with Hamas’s interests. Rather than being used to provide humanitarian aid and stabilize conflict-ridden regions—in accordance with USAID’s stated goal—American funds have often been funneled into corrupt, Hamas-tied institutions, with minimal oversight. A new multiyear study of USAID by the Middle East Forum identified $164 million in grants to radical organizations, including $122 million to those “aligned with designated terrorists and their supporters.” The MEF also found that “millions of federal dollars have been handed by USAID to organizations directly in Gaza controlled by Hamas, with government officials even visiting Gaza terror proxies’ offices and launching joint programs.” The money has kept flowing, as the U.S. has distributed $2.1 billion in Gaza since Hamas killed 1,200 people and took 250 hostages on October 7, 2023. But the warning signs predate October 7. The USAID’s Inspector General—now raising the alarm about Trump’s shutdown of the agency—has consistently voiced concern over lax vetting mechanisms and inadvertent terror funding in the region. The watchdog community has echoed these concerns. In December 2024, the group NGO Monitor highlighted USAID’s lack of transparency, reporting that it allocated $200 million to “miscellaneous foreign awardees” operating in the West Bank and Gaza. USAID identified neither the recipients of these funds nor their local partners. In 2021, NGO Monitor warned that alterations to USAID’s anti-terror vetting practices made the group “vulnerable to engagement with grantees and/or partners linked to terrorist organizations, or with groups that support, glorify, or excuse violence.”And lookie-here what Daniel Greenfield is reporting: In 2022, the DA Afghanistan Bank showed off photos of $40 million in stacks of hundred dollar bills sitting on the tarmac at Kabul International Airport. The Taliban controlled central bank described this as one of three shipments of “humanitarian aid” amounting to over $100 million. DAB, Afghanistan’s central bank, was headed by Noor Ahmad Agha, a “specially designated terrorist” who had been named as the “financier of bomb-making”, including the IEDs which had killed over 1,000 American soldiers, and sending money to a sanctioned figure was illegal. Despite that someone had sent a massive fortune in U.S. cash to the Taliban’s terror bank. While no international organization was willing to admit to the cash-smuggling operation, the ultimate responsibility lay with USAID. The $40 million on the tarmac was part of a much larger scheme under which USAID and the State Department provided over $1.7 billion in funding to the UN which then shipped $2.9 billion in cash to Afghanistan. . . . . . When the State Department and USAID claimed that they “do not provide assistance to or through the Taliban” but work “with trusted international partners with extensive experience working in challenging environments like Afghanistan”, it was a half-truth at best. The “trusted international partners” included the UN. USAID funded the UN which used an intermediary to purchase the hundred dollar bills from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where Afghanistan’s wealth, claimed by the Taliban, was being held, then contracted with a company, quite possiblyOsama bin Laden’s old airline, to fly it to Afghanistan, deposit it in banks, allocate it to NGOs and then use DAB to convert the dollars into local Afghan currency.LEst we forget the I don't know how many billions in greenbacks the Jug-eared dog-eating purple-lipped Commie literal-bastard Obama palletized and flew over to Iran without even the fig leaf of USAID such as it is/was. JUST The TIP, my friends. Not enough pitchforks, torches and rope/lampposts, metaphorically speaking again *wink*wink. And lastly, a quick shout-out and thank you for your continued support in hitting our tip jar. It truly is appreciated more than you can know. Have a great day.

Don' t insurance companies (both medical and property) often look at ZIP codes when establishing individual rates? Those towns that are voting for the Normalization and Celebration of severe mental health issues, with their corresponding life-long dependency on fairly expensive medications, over time, is going to have an effect on the actuarial tables. The Department of Education is just as much a grift machine as USAID with the added "benefit" of jerking around local school systems to the detriment of children's education.
Every time a new administration comes in they have some plan to "save education" which then requires every public school system in the USA to start implementing. The plans are just completely untested ideas with not verified effectiveness. Posted by: MAGA_Ken at February 13, 2025 07:53 AM (Vh9CX) 25

People have talked about the rising rates of autism over time. One reason is that schools get paid for this. Subsidize something, you get more of it. Make something gameable, people play the game. Kind of like how every kid in CPS custody is medicated to the gills. On Tuesday evening, school board members representing Penfield Central School District in Rochester, New York, walked out on a packed house of parents who were upset about an inappropriate book on display at the elementary school library called “The Rainbow Parade,” authored by Emily Neilson
TBH the answer to this crap is not to go through the school board, but to go to your sheriff and ask him to arrest whoever approved that book for the school. It is against the law everyone to show pron to children. Yes this does require a sheriff with guts, but once you get a couple of groomers arrested for this the rest will stop. I don't find it hard to believe that freeloaders and goldbrickers can be mobilized to vote, some significant percentage of them anyway. So that the tap doesn't get cut off. If it works for unmarried white women, why not inner city dwellers? Sure, not all. But mobilizing the urban mob is a storied political tradition. At least as old as Rome. I remember one election cycle long ago when some Dem campaign worker was bribing urban troglodytes to vote for as little as a pack of cigarettes.

Posted by: Boron Cobbie One fraud process is to pay people to pick up their unfilled out mail in ballots. Another is from ghost registrations where ballots are delivered to various places like vacant lots, abandoned houses, commercial buildings, homeless shelters, etc. and ballot harvesters pick them up there or via arrangements. Then there is the old running a single ballot through scanners multiple times as seen on video in the GA Fulton County fraud of 2020. And outright invented ballots via duplicating ballot images or even just invented totals. Posted by: whig at February 13, 2025 09:02 AM (ctrM5) 185

There is some evidence that GOP establishment types have used Dem fraud harvester types in open primaries to support GOP establishmentarians. Second, is that these fraud machines are urban and black so fear of being tarred with racism. The long consent decree forbidding the GOP from participating as a party to check ballot fraud went from the 1980's (thanks to stupid Ed Rollins bragging about paying black ministers in NJ to keep their flocks at home during voting), to when that particular judge finally retired in NJ in 2018 or so. One fraud process is to pay people to pick up their unfilled out mail in ballots.

Just thoughts bubbling in my head that were sort of related to your point. However, I think what's going to drive Roberts right now is the idea that the judicial branch as a whole, completely driven by idiots in the lower parts, is going to become irrelevant in the face of an executive who, rightfully, decides to stop following illegal orders from stupid judges. I think he also shares a certain overall opinion on SCOTUS of being sick and tired of dealing with every little lawfare blowout in the nation. Also, the other conservatives are obviously ready to overthrow the "independent" agencies. >>I think we knew that regardless but confirmation is always nice.
It's important to have the proof. As the details are announced by DOGE a lot of previously non-political, Dem by default types appear to be noticing. I've seen many of those tiktok 'rant into the camera' videos where Democrat LIVs are shocked and angry. This needs to be documented, laid out in full sunlight for all to see. Trump and team need to rub their noses in it and make them explain. Watching them squirm is the reward. Posted by: Lizzy at February 13, 2025 09:39 AM (Cki93) 305

No idea how he'd go on birthright citizenship, but if Originalism is still the name of the game, I suspect the overall majority won't go against Trump's interpretation.
-- I'm still digesting the "how" but I think the 22 states making the pact to defy Trump on this makes the interpretation that the 14th does not apply to illegals stronger; more likely that SCOTUS will agree with Trump. Along the lines of how they were kinda pissed at CO for thinking they had the right to interpret the Constitution. Posted by: People's Hippo Voice at February 13, 2025 09:43 AM (uyRWq) 307

In a statement to the Washington Free Beacon, Consumer Product Safety Commission acting chairman Peter Feldman said he considers the matter "concluded" and emphasized that the federal government should not interfere with consumer choice. Feldman's comments effectively put an end to a years-long process that critics feared would lead to a broad ban on gas stoves.
"In electing President Trump, the American people spoke loudly that the United States has no business telling American families how to cook their meals," Feldman told the Free Beacon. "I became Acting Chairman of the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission in January 2025, shortly after President Trump's inauguration," he continued. "So long as I have a say in the matter, the CPSC is out of the gas-stoves-banning business. The agency has no plans to advance such a rule." Posted by: SMOD at February 13, 2025 09:45 AM (RHGPo) 309

When Washington was elected, people wrote who they voted for on the actual voter roll list next to their name (I had a professor at the University of Alabama that had one page of a roll with his ancestor's vote for Washington on it).
--- Other times, the "sacred right to the secret ballot" the left demands you believe is in the Constitution was ... every adult gathered in the town square and declared who they were voting for by voice. Which votes were then counted by the town clerk. Another fun fact is, the whole "sacred right to a sequestered jury" and "no jury tampering" wasn't there. There's a hilarious story of Abraham Lincoln winning a case based upon a joke he told the jury when he took them to lunch before closing arguments. Good morning, all, and thanks, J.J.
Fun started early today. The House is holding a hearing on USAID. Seated protesters began chanting at the opening of the hearing and were pulled out of the their seats & through the doors of the chamber. Eggs, eggs, eggs! Reportedly, customer limits on purchases in several chain stores, and somewhere being sold $1.50 per egg. The cost of products made with eggs is also rising, as are costs of dining out once again. And over at CNN, DOOM is predicted if Trump does not get inflation immediately under control. It's what took out Biden, they say. So, yup, the bottomless spending of his administration created hell & havoc for the nation, with some exclusions for his buds, but now their day is coming, too, and hopefully there's an honest investigation of the egg situation rolling. Axios Philadelphia, yesterday, 'What Pennsylvania will lose if Education Department is dismantled.' In part,
State of Play: K-12 schools in Pennsylvania spend about $36.3 billion annually, or $21,441 per pupil, according to the Education Data Initiative. - And they receive more than $4.6 billion, or $2,757 per student, from the federal government, the data shows. The intrigue: Even if the Education Department is disbanded, programs within its purview could fall to other federal agencies. HEAD START, for example, is already RUN BY THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES. (Emphasis added.) Reading all suggested. Axios may also have a similar article for each state. --- Philadelphia instituted its sugar tax in 2017, allegedly to support Pre-K education & healthier families. Of course, that was largely crap, caused a nice family-operated grocery store to close & many poorer families to leave the city. (The latter being a routine Philadelphia ploy.) BTW, its two decades old tax abatement plan exempted the entire value of significant real estate improvements from being taxed for 10 years. The rich get richer while the undocumented and poorer folk get nudged to outer counties.
School costs are going up dramatically immediately outside of the city, allegedly because the federal funding from the pandemic (ESSER) funding is ending while state funding is going up. But the local school, for one, has fallen to the 50th percentile of all state public schools while adding all day Kindergarten, maybe the only identifiable ESSER funded program. And, the now the school district needs two new elementary level classrooms because of increasing student numbers. In the meantime, Daily Times, February 12, 2025, "Delaware County DA won’t cooperate with ICE roundups aimed at those ‘living peacefully.’ In part, "With President Donald Trump stressing that mass deportations of the undocumented are coming and on a day after ICE officers were involved in a raid in Delaware County, Stollsteimer has let his staff know they are not to work with feds targeting people who are not committing crimes." And Delaware County, PA is a NACo member. Posted by: L - No nic, another fine day at February 13, 2025 10:54 AM (NFX2v) 314

The NED was born because Carter fired 30% of the CIA - rightly - after the Church committee revelations.
It should have died with the fall of the USSR in the early 90's because then it was used against Americans.
